I cannot delete or edit my review.This potting mix is definitely not gor orchids.Abput potting mix for my succulents. I think with their previous soil, they were growing faster as I bought it for my aloe vera.

I have used Osmocote Succulent mix for about 2 years and have found the product to be inconsistent.Bad batches are full of large bark pieces and no sand which is not great for growing succulents.Better batches contain fine organic/ bark and a decent amount of sand.There is no way of knowing what you are going to get as the bags are opaque plastic. Maybe a clear plastic section would help with this??Better still would be quality control system the ensures consistent product every time.Last batch I purchased (about 8 bags) there were 3 or 4 good bags and the rest were full of bark. All taken from the same pallet.Previous couple of purchases has been good so I thought the mix had been fixed. It's really not cool when you open a bag of new soil and a swarm of fungus gnats comes out of it... apart from the contaminated soil being unsafe for potting, the fungus gnats that got out now get to damage the other plants that I have at home. Sad face.
Used Osmocote to re plant Succulents that had outgrown pots over 10 years
I recently purchased a bag of Osmocote Cacti and Succulent mix. Not impressed with the quality at all. Soil was very moist and full of fungus gnats which have now infested my other plants. This is not a cheap product and now I have wasted my money on an inferior product.
My plants love this mix. I've tried other brands of succulent soil, this has the best growing results.
I think you should always try a product that is specific to certain plants. My succulents are thriving.
I’ve used this soil a bunch of times. It’s really good for my aloe Vera plants. Never had a problem with it and have happy healthy aloe Vera.. definitely will purchase again.. in fact my aloe Vera have more than 11 pups I’ll have to transplant cause the pot is getting to small
