I lost my previous S2S inflatable pillow and of course they changed it and raised the price. The fabric seems nicer; the valve is fancier. I got the kidney-bean shaped regular size and it's still comfortable for my short neck and narrow shoulders. That said, pillows are so personal, I recommend going into a store and trying them out. Even though I liked this the best, I wouldn't buy without a coupon or a sale.

So far so good! We’ve tried blow up pillows in the past and they always seem to get holes or deflate but decided to try again as the clothes bag wasn’t cutting it. Hopefully the double valve should go a long way in keeping it from leaking because it’s not cheap. I don’t mind paying for good gear and am hopeful that this falls in that category. I will say, having a real pillow that can easily inflate or deflate to the desired firmness makes a difference in a good nights rest. My husband and I both have a system for keeping it from sliding off the pad which is also helpful. I add it to my clothes bag (inside out is fleece) and he has a silk liner on his pad that he can put under the flap. We tried it out backpacking last week and are very satisfied.

I truly don't have anything bad to say about this pillow. The weight and pack size are awesome. It inflates quickly and is easy to make minor pressure adjustments. The comfort and performance in colder climates leaves a bit to be desired, but is understandable being an ultralight pillow. For its intended purpose, it's phenomenal. After 5 years, the internal structure finally let go. It still holds air perfect, always has. Just a bit more like a balloon now. For the amount of use/abuse it received, I have no regrets buying it.

It's certainly better than no pillow at all, and I do love how compact this thing is for backpacking. However, it's not terribly comfortable, and I have a hard time getting it to the right inflation amount. It also can be a bit loud when shifting around at night, and it being inflatable means it's super light and it slides out from under my head really easily. Kind of wish I had gone with a down pillow, but at least I don't have to worry as much about this one getting damp/wet.
Forget about backpacking and camping - I never do either. I use this pillow 1) as lumbar support in cars, trains, planes, etc. You can inflate it to just the right size for comfort. 2) As a book or device rest on my lap or plane table while I'm reading 3) As a headrest while reading in bed 4) As a back rest while meditating in a chair (I'm lazy: it supports me when my back muscles get sore from sitting up straight. It might also work for the Seiza position.)The one-way valve allows you to inflate it until it's just right for lumbar support, which might only be a breath or two, while the main valve allows for quick deflation. It fits into a tiny stash bag, the size of one of those small nylon tote bags, which is what I'm looking for when I'm on public transit or ... I have attached the bag to the valve assembly with a tiny s-biner so that I won't lose the bag.
Needed a backpacking pillow, did not do any research and grabbed off the shelf in a hurry. I picked it for the size, paying more for a smaller pack size is worth it for me. After one trip I'm sold. It inflates/deflates easily and quickly and works super well. I used outside of a mummy bag and was surprised it pretty much stayed in place. I prefer a flatter and firmer regular pillow and figured this would be too much but my neck felt great the morning after.
Light (81g on my scale), large enough for a side sleeper and for some reason I don't experience the "bouncing head" sensation with this pillow that I've had with at least 4 other inflatable pillows. I don't use a Sea/Summit pad, so I can't comment on the Lok "felt" system that supposed to keep this pillow in place on compatible pads, but it's captivated and fits pretty well (not perfect) in my REI Magma 15 men's sleeping bag hood - at least sufficient to sleep through the night. My head never got hold on the last 2 weekends' 25 and 30deg nights, (but then again it's inside the down hood and I'm using an Big Agnes AXL insulated pad so I'm sure that's part of it's success). Suffice it to say, this is my car camping AND backpacking pillow of choice now due to weight ... If I'm particular on the fold, I can get both the BA AXL pad and this pillow in the pad's stuff sack easily without stressing the stuff sack's seams.
I love how packable this pillow is. Like, insanely packable. And most items with such a small stuff sack would be difficult to fit back in the sack (or pouch, in this case), but this one isn't. You could literally put it in your pocket. The top has a nice-feeling microfiber type fabric and the bottom is smooth. It's easy to inflate and doesn't seem to leak. I didn't find it really helped me sleep better, but maybe I'm just not a pillow person when backpacking. I usually just cram a bunch of clothing into my tent stuff sack. It seems like a really nice pillow though. One small issue for me was that since I am an active sleeper, it didn't stay completely in place. It didn't slide away so much as inch around under my head. But overall it stayed put.
I own five pillows for backpacking, tried to find the one, well this so far is it. At first I didn’t like it a whole lot as its really wide inflated, it seemed unnecessary in wide at first. After using it I see why its so wide because thats one reason its so comfortable. Best if used fully inflated as it adds more than enough height for a side slipper. Your head wont be hanging low. Its so wide the weight of your head is distributed well and it does a great job not feeling like your sleeping on a inflated balloon like some pillows. The “dimples” also do a great job of adding comfort and not adding pressure points laying on it. Its light enough I don’t feel bad as a luxury item in my gear as a pillow of your tenting is so important for good sleep.I am exclusively a ... I traveled with this pillow for about 3 years and it was a lifesaver both on transportation and while backpacking/hiking. It's true that if you inflate it all the way it's too hard, so don't do that. I like to fill it ~half way with one big breath which makes it comfy on both stomach & back and for side sleeping I fold it in half and boom double thickness (also a good trick for the window seat). The other potential issue is your head rolling around because it's just a bag of air after all. Well that is true and at first I hated it but my body got used to it pretty quickly and now no issues, very comfy. After 3 years of heavy use it has finally gotten some leaks at the seam. I'm writing this review now because I'm back to buy another.
