Perfect when you want the smallest and lightest bug net. Of course the net is quite close to you while sleeping (because of the size), but tentpegs and placement of you stuff helps keeping the net aeay from your face. A perfect companion to a tarp.

If it’s summer, leave your tent behind and grab this plus a tarp and you’ll be so glad you did. I used a sil nylon poncho, Tyvex ground sheet and a ridge line with 3 prusik & mini biners. So lite wt. you’ll wonder why you never did this before. If your packing a bow or a rifle you have got to make up for the extra weight by going lite with your shelter if you want to really get out there anyway.

Extremely light weight full bug protection with a cinch cord that snugs nicely under your pad. Essential gear for a UL tarp setup or sleeping in areas with bugs. Definitely worth it to get the NANO version over the their regular (heavier) version. I also bought the 2P version because it’s such a great bugnet.

Purchased this for some third world travel. Super compact and lightweight. Shock-corded DAC aluminum spreader bar is what makes this net/cover great, however, this is ideal for one person as the open area is limited below the spreader bar. Fits perfectly over a twin and/or queen size mattress. The netting is excellent, albeit delicate, and the Insect Shield is a plus…keeping mosquitoes from even thinking about it.Also used as a shelter under a low tree branch. Recommend using w/ a 80”x50“ (give or take) tarp below utilizing 4 stakeout points.
I used the product for five days in the Maine's Baxter State Park wilderness, sleeping in lean-to shelters. Black flies and mosquitos were thick and temperatures warm in July. The Nano Mosquito Netting was effective keeping insects away and allowed me to stay cool. There are several similar products to choose from on the market.. I chose the Nano because I am a pack weight conscious hiker. The Nano net tips the scales at 80g, (< 3 ounces), while similar products are easily 300g or more. I thought the extra cost versus reduce weight a reasonable tradeoff. One suggestion for users keeping the netting from collapsing on their head and shoulders is to braced the netting with a hiking pole laid inside the netting, on the ground, at their head.
Bought this for keeping the bugs away while sleeping in a bivy. The insect shield did not seem to immediately "repel" bugs, like OFF does. But the ants that crawled on it soon started grooming themselves and then either crawled off or died. I used a piece of Tyvek under me, since the screen does not go underneath you. I sprayed the tyvek with a permethrin clothing treatment spray. Not that I'm afraid of a few bugs, but if I can do without, why not... The area that we backpacked into (Red River Gorge, KY) had a bunch of noseeums. Although they were bad during the day, I did not have any issues while under the netting, into the evening and the next morning. The Nano met my expectations by keeping the bugs at bay while being super lightweight. It appears to be made from quality material and the workmanship is very good. A few other comments - The netting material will snag-on a sharp edge, like a zipper, stick or such, so you need to be careful of that. I'm 5'9" and found that I needed to sleep, corner-to-corner, in order to keep the netting away from touching the top of my head. It was a bit of a challenge to get in and out by sliding under the side. Perhaps an improvement could be to add an entrance along the top, front, long, arch area. No velcro or zipper. Just an overlap of netting material that will fold close after you pass thru...
The nano solo pyramid net is the lightest bug net on the market. It can be cinched around the sleeping pad to protect better from the mosquitos and even the smallest insects. The asymetric construction provides ample head room and it is easy to setup. It packs small and is very light which makes it perfect for ultralight backpacking or thru-hiking when combined with a tarp shelter
Extremely lightweight, and packs very small. The net itself is nice, comes with corner loops for pegs. Easy setup. Good for 1 person only. Stitching and quality is nice.
This net packs down very small and is very easy to set up. The colour coded loops (red or blue) for staking the net to the ground make it very easy to quickly identify which directions your head and feet will be pointing. It is also easy to make adjustments from inside the net. The only down side is that the elastic chord used to suspend the net is somewhat flimsy. For extended use I may replace it with a thin chord that is not elastic
I bought this net for my 2 month backpacking trip to Southeast Asia and slept in it for 30 days straight. Compared to my teammates nets, it did a great job of keeping the bugs out. The holes are much smaller than comparable nets. Only super small bugs could get inside. The few downsides are it's difficult to get yourself inside the net There is not much space. You for sure can not read a book or do anything productive in there. It is also difficult to hang it if you are sleeping in an open air shelter. My net also got a small hole after using it for about 15 days. Overall it is difficult to find a good mosquito net and I would recommend this one because the good outweighs the bad.
