5 Degree Sleeping Bag

This is an awesome sleeping bag! It has plenty of room to toss and turn and stay toasty warm at the same time! It’s wider than most bags which is great so I didn’t feel stuck and really could move around in it without any issues despite being a full figured gal. Very light weight which is surprising at how very warm it keeps you! I Purchased the long version so I could toss my clothes at the foot of the bag and I still had plenty of room without getting my feet tangled in my clothes at night! I can’t say enough good things about this sleeping bag. Went camping with a group where it got down to 27° and I was the only one who was still pretty hot at night and had to unzip my bag to cool down because I was so warm!

Absolutely Fantastic Creation!

For 6 weeks, I have been testing the Tanami 7C/46F Down Queen Size Blanket. This is true to size and exceptionally well made. The choice of material is soft, durable, and light. It has "draw stings" on both the top and bottom so it can be cinched around your feet, a sleeping pad, or around your shoulders. Along with the ability to be closed, it also has attachment loops strategically placed so it can be attached around a sleeping pad so not to allow for cold spots or slide out of position.Temperatures tested...ranged from 45f to 77f. As it reached 45f, I could feel a little bit cool, but not bad. 77f is a bit warm, but folding it back worked very well. This blanket was also tested inside and outside...great regardless of humidity.Lastly, this has been ... MoreFor 6 weeks, I have been testing the Tanami 7C/46F Down Queen Size Blanket. I would switch the 650 Duck Down with 850 Goose Down. I believe this would better justify the $299.00 price to the consumer.

Exceptional camping blanket

This is an exceptional camping blanket for late spring, summer, and early fall. It is made from high quality and comfortable materials. We couple this blanket with the Comfort Deluxe sleeping pad. The drawstrings are super helpful to secure the blanket to the sleeping pad, keeping in warmth and also keeping it from sliding all over at night. For those that don't like the constraint of a mummy bag when sleeping, this is a great option.

Exceptionally versatile bag
16 January 2020

Extremely comfortable (side sleeper that tosses a lot at night). Love the flexibility of the full sip on left AND right side plus the ability to separately vent the foot box. Ordered the Long 25* and it has been very cozy to the temp rating. Venting needed at 35*, extra layers needed @ 15*. Will order the 5* for more serious winter camping as well as a synthetic version for wet season hunts. Well made. Wish the interior pocket was large enough for a modern phone. As a side sleeper, there is plenty of room in the foot bock of the long to keep my cloths warm for the morning and I stash my drybag pillow system in the mummy -ish hood to keep t from finding a new home, The pad straps are awesome! Keeps my multiple layers in place all night (foam pad, E blanket, air pad). ... MoreExtremely comfortable (side sleeper that tosses a lot at night). Great for backpacking quilt and camper!
1 September 2023

The double Tanami 35 performed amazingly well as a double backpacking quilt and on the camper bed.The rating is spot on at 35F. With a light base layer and paired with 4.5R and 3.5R pads and a hat we were comfortable in the tent until the temp dipped to 30 at which time we added a down hoody that we backpack with anyway. The draw strings are perfect to make 2 toe boxes that functioned well and the top draw string with a middle anchor was easy to adjust for each persons desire. At 6’ 2” there was plenty of room for good draping coverage that stayed put even for an active sleeper. We reduced our pack weight, one carries the quilt and the other packs the 2 pads and a light coupler sheet which evens out volume and weight. Most of the time it is on my Airstream BC16X ... MoreThe double Tanami 35 performed amazingly well as a double backpacking quilt and on the camper bed.The rating is spot on at 35F. It breaths well when you don’t need the warmth as well as on cold nights. The loft is great but it also compresses more than expected with the 750 down.Great value for 2 sleepers with amazing versatility.

Great for maximizing comfort while camping
22 May 2024

I have the queen size comforter and it fills up my little tent like a puffy cloud. It's so much more comfortable than jamming myself into a sleeping bag, which makes it perfect for more casual camping where I'm not as worried about saving weight and space. It does pack nice and small though (it fits perfectly into a 5L Ultra-Sil stuff sack), so it could definitely be used for backpacking as well. I also love that the underside is less slick than typical ripstop nylon, so it doesn't constantly slide all over the place. Due to the 45 degree rating, it really is for warmer weather only, especially because no comforter can completely envelop you like a sleeping bag. However, this extra airflow makes it very ideal for preventing overheating in warmer temperatures. ... MoreI have the queen size comforter and it fills up my little tent like a puffy cloud. Overall it's a great comforter for sleeping in a van, bringing to the campground, and summer backpacking. If you're looking to upgrade on comfort from your sleeping bag while also maintaining light weight and packability, this is about as good as it gets.

I love my soft, lightweight,

I love my soft, lightweight, breathable Tanami down comforter! I use it on my bed and plan to take it when traveling. It’s fun to “make my bed” in the morning with just a flick of the wrist.

Its not a backpacking sleeping bag. But its a wonderfully, light, compact, and warm quilt. Great for 3 season van-camping ..... and for an added top layer during the long, dark, cold, white, and wonderful 4th season
