An excellent "basic" bag

Used the 50º degree bag for 7 weeks on the AT and loved it, but it got damaged (my fault) so bought another. This time got the 30º version because I plan to use it at higher elevations out West. Love these bags primarily because they're lightweight, well insulated and *not* mummy bags. I get the long versions (even though I'm 5"10") because the width/circumference allows me to sleep as I would in a bed: by laying on my side and swinging one knee up to my waist. The zippers also work very smoothly and rarely bite any nearby fabric. Would be great if they offered a wide version without the extra length to save a few ounces and avoid contact with my tent. Seems bags are getting more shaped and tailored, so I hope Sea to Summit doesn't discontinue these fantastic ... MoreUsed the 50º degree bag for 7 weeks on the AT and loved it, but it got damaged (my fault) so bought another. BEST LIGHTWEIGHT BAG EVER

I LOVE this bag. It is so light with everything I need and no frills. It comes with a small compression bag that fits perfectly and is easy to travel with. The bag even has a flap that I can grab onto when I remove the sleeping bag from the stuff sack. I have used it almost every night since I bought it. I like to synch the foot chord and use the rest of it like a blanket. On colder nights I add a blanket on top and together they are perfect. On warm nights, this bag is the anwer. I really do LOVE it. Oh! And when I pull it out of the compression bag, it doesn't take long to puff back up. It's my favorite sleeping bag EVER.

Great quality

I purchased both the 50 and the 30 degree bags.It is very lightweight and compact, although it's slightly heavier than advertised. The quality, fit and finish is excellent. The only knit picking thing I could say is that the stuff sack for the 50 degree bag is too small. Also, I contacted the sea to summit manufacturer based in US and I got excellent customer service from them. I am confident that if I ever had issues with the product I would get all the support I need. I most certainly recommend the product as well as the brand.

I now have both the
3 October 2022

I now have both the TR1 (50 deg) and TR2 (30 deg) versions. Purchased the TR1 for Summer hammock camping as it seems to be a great mix of quilt/blanket/bag. The zipper and cinch cords make this into almost anything you want, without adding too much weight. Great warmth to weight ratio and I think a good value for the money. I will be zipping the two together for those really cold nights. Only downside to that is the inside on one will have to face out, but that won't affect the warmth/loft. I have slept with the TR1 as an overquilt down to a confirmed 46 deg in shorts, long socks, T-shirt, and part way through the night added fleece top, mainly to keep my face warm.

Impressed - great ultra light option
12 April 2023

Light and simple and kept me warm with a liner in 42 degree weather the other night. Packs down so small. It’s a great bag for its size. Light weight, extremely packable, I would recommend the liner to maximize the comfort zone and it also packs down extremely small and does a fantastic job when paired with this bag.

Loving the flexibility of this little bag
26 June 2022

The compressed size and weight are very appealing. But what I like about this product over a standard quilt is that I can use it as a sleeping bag of sorts. Unzip and use it as a blanket, or zip it when the weather gets chilly and make a bag. It even has bungees on top and bottom to seal out drafts on windy nights or leave the bungees undone and give your feet some breathing room. I have taken it on three trips now and so far impressed with the durability, and flexibility. I am not exactly kind to my gear, but all my Sea to Summit gear has treated me well over the years, including this little guy. I bought the 50F version and have used it down to 50 no problem. Good summer and fringe season bag.

The perfect bag for SW Florida
23 November 2022

Extremely lightweight and packable, adding minimal weight to my kit. Used recently while assisting with a disaster response organization (Team Rubicon) in southwest Florida. It was a perfect option for the warm weather and humid conditions. Nighttime temperatures ranged between upper 60s and lower 70s.

This is what I've been looking for
19 June 2022

Camping in Missouri during the spring/summer months can be pretty muggy inside a tent. I purchased this piece after a pretty uncomfortable 2 nights on a warm muggy spring campout with a group of 4th graders. This Traveller Sleeping Bag and Blanket should be the solution for our mid-west camping weather. I purchased it based on reviews and the description - also like my feet free at night.Based on my purchase, my sister purchased one for her husband.I really like Sea to Summits approach to outdoor gear and find myself using more and more of it for a good nights sleep.

great lightweight sleeping bag for those who prefer non-mummy bags
25 March 2021

I recently took this bag on a bikepacking trip in Chattahoochee National Forest. It packs down super small which is essential. I chose the 30 degree version, which was juuuust warm enough for how cold it got. It did unexpectedly dip below freezing. Two things to consider if you opt for a bag like this: 1. the foot end is actually open and closes with a draw string. I consider this a plus, especially in warmer weather, but when it gets cold, you may consider adding some insulation by covering the foot end with your down jacket or other method. 2. I used an uninsulated sleeping pad. If you intend to use this bag down to 30 degrees I would recommend pairing it with an insulated pad. Overall, I intended to use this bag for more moderate temperatures, which it is perfect ... MoreI recently took this bag on a bikepacking trip in Chattahoochee National Forest. I'm very comfortable in it and appreciate the large rectangular opening at the head end which suits my sleeping style better than a hooded, mummy bag.

i’ve got to say i
24 July 2022

i’ve got to say i was a little disappointed by the narrow foot box area which makes this feel very mummyish but i guess the zipper down there makes up for it. while it is a versatile and light sleeping bag- i may try to re-sell it as it it seems to me to be a very expensive version of a simple down quilt with a zipper on it. i already have a sleeping bag liner that i’ve sewn an inexpensive down quilt into- and this bag isn’t much better frankly- though i expect the quality of the down might be different. i wanted to really love this- and may use it yet, but i’m not sure the price tag is warranted. sorry sea to summit i usually love your products!

Sea to Summit Traveller Trii Sleeping Bag (Regular)

(171 reviews)

Flexible and comfortable, this is the Traveller Tr II down sleeping bag from Sea to Summit. It is the perfect companion for long trips and spontaneous excursions with minimal weight. Its lightweight and durable nylon outer material contributes positively to the light weight, and in addition, a lightweight, water-repellent treated down filling, which provides the good thermal performance. At the shoulders and feet the sleeping bag has drawstrings to adjust the fit to the weather conditions. Due to the robust down condensation inside and wetness, such as the morning dew, can no longer harm him from the outside. The full-length zipper on the side is very practical, as you can couple a second sleeping bag here or simply use it as a blanket. So ideal for couples! The horizontal chambers give an increase in thermal performance, because the down and thus the heat is distributed more evenly in the sleeping bag. With the only slightly tapered cut, you have the optimal freedom of movement and you sleep very comfortably. With the low weight and pack size, it is ideal for world travel, pilgrimage or just to stay overnight with friends.
