Sea to Summit Venture II Women's Sleeping Bag Regular
The unique WaveLoft construction uses thick layers of THERMOLITE insulation looped together to gain extra loft and trap pockets of warm air, providing increased warmth in colder conditions. The baffle construction also eliminates the frustration of getting tangled in loose lining as all lining fabrics are attached to the shell fabric. The Venture also features thicker insulation in the footbox, reducing the chance of cold feet interrupting your night’s sleep and a women’s specific tapered rectangular shape that is wider at the hip and narrower at the shoulder. The Free-Flow triple-zip design ensures your sleeping bag retains maximum warmth and efficiency when needed and multiple ventilation options when it’s not. The half zip on the left side of the bag provides freedom of movement for both arms, additional ventilation and means the top third of the bag can be folded down as a mini quilt. The full length, two-way right side zip and separate foot zip transforms the bag into a full quilt for when the mercury climbs higher than expected. ThermoliteThermolite insulation provides lightweight warmth for all activites. Sea to Summit uses Thermolite insulation in many of the sleep system products in different forms. Sleeping bag liners use Thermolite fibre knitted to create the Reactor Thermolite fabric. Sleeping bags use Thermolite insulation that is designed for superior warmth and exceptional softness.

This bag, while being v lightweight, provides roomy leg and foot space and is true to fit. Perfect for all season esp when combined w an inner liner or bivy as needed for ambient to changes or altitude. It arrived in excellent condition and comes with a compression sack for excellence in packing.

I took this on a trip where the nighttime low was 32F. Unfortunately the bag wasn't warm enough fully zipped up with hood cinched down. Also, it doesn't pack down as small as other sleeping bags -- it takes up a LOT of space in my 65L pack. I'm really disappointed because the bag is great in many other ways: comfy material, excellent zipper placement options, cinch-down hood. It's fine for warmer weather, but sadly it didn't live up to its temperature rating or packability. I'll be returning it for a warmer bag.

Cozy, I am 5 foot 4 inches- and this is perfect length for me (with a bit of extra room). Haven’t tried it in proper cold weather but for around 0 it was cozy and warm. Love the double zip! The colour is gorgeous too, extra bonus. Only note- it does not compress that tiny.

I was cold on 35 to 45 degree nights. This is despite a Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite Sleeping Pad - Women's (r value 5.4). I was fully clothed and wore gloves, hat and a nano puff jacket. I think part of the problem was it was too tight and also drafty along the zipper. If I slept flat on my back all night it may have been better. I toss a bit and am a side sleeper. I am tend to get warm easily when sleeping. I am from Florida so I am not used to the cold. A hot flash would have been nice on this trip. The fabric was soft and comfy and the zipperswere great.
I love this sleeping bag, particularly the foot-end zippers, that allow me to put on my shoes and penguin-walk out to start my stove in the morning, without having to get out of my cozy bag until my hot coffee is ready and I am warmed up. Or at night when I realize at 3 AM I need to close the vent on the top of my tent, which has only outside access. I can slip on my shoes and step outside without having to get out of my bag.
This bag has a great feel to it, soft on the inside and the outer material feels quite durable. The zipper(s) have a good design that allows for multi vent options, or open it right up for a quilt. There's also an anti-snag runner behind the zipper. The colour, though not important, is very nice. Surprisingly light weight for a synthetic sleeping bag and also packs quite small, though not as compact as down. I purchased the large as I do not like to be restricted and there's plenty of wiggle room for anyone under 5'10".
Not field tested yet but is a wonderful bag for versatility. I dislike mummy bags, I'm a side sleeper and my feet are ALWAYS hot so I must be able to "air them out". This bag ticks off all my boxes. I grabbed the regular size and I'm 5'5 1/2 and 130lbs with an athletic build and I find the bag roomy.Once full unzipped the bag can be used like a quilt and you can still tuck your toes in the bottom of the bag when fully unzipped as the toe box still envelops your toes ( which helps keep the bag from slidding around in my case) This is likely how I'll use it most of the time as I move a lot and like my knees sprawled out. With the bag fully zipped.. I can still do this as the bag moves with me... But if you have the bag attached to a pad and latched down... It may not ... MoreNot field tested yet but is a wonderful bag for versatility. I dislike mummy bags, I'm a side sleeper and my feet are ALWAYS hot so I must be able to "air them out". With the bag fully zipped.. I can still do this as the bag moves with me... But if you have the bag attached to a pad and latched down... It may not be the best for very active sleepers and would likely be too narrow to have knees at a 90 degree angle. The double side zippers are amazing which allow you to feel less "trapped" in the bag. The main zipper is on the right while the half zipper to on the left.It comes with its own compression sack and while it does pack down ... It's not as small as a down bag... But that's to be expected from a synthetic bag.. it's slightly larger than a standard Nalgene...photo of the compression is about 90-95% compressed. Not sure that through hikers would like the size... Ultralite hikers would definitely find this too heavy and large. I'm just car camping with it in northern Ontario so it's perfect for my needs. One thing.. if the bags main side zipper is fully detached and undone while the seperate bottom foot zipper is still done up, it can be difficult to "reattached" and re-zip the side ( or get the zipper started) .. quick fix.. slightly unzipp the foot box so that there is less tension in the side zipper and try to reattached and zip up again.. it's much easier to get started. Once zipped, the sides are easily zipped up and down without getting caught! Can't wait to field test it!
Great women's specific bag with all the bells and whistles. A bit wider at the hips as women's bags should be. It does not have a small storage pocket like some but I never use them. Snag free zipper does work well. I love the half zip on the opposite side - especially in warmer weather. Compresses well for a synthetic bag. I do mostly wilderness canoe/ kayak trips, many whitewater trips. Some in very remote places like Greenland. I am not comfortable taking a down bag to such a remote place on rough water.
This is so comfortable. It is light and fluffy and like sleeping in a cloud. I like all the zippers, especially the one opposite the main zipper so I can fold over like a blanket.the one at the feet is a nice feature as well. I didn't give it a 5 star because I noticed rather soon after using it a few times, the outer fabric tends to get caught and snag easily. I am not using anything sharp around it's just my hands and the natural way you pull up a sleeping bag. There are a few pulls along the main body of it as well. I'm not being rough with it so the is disappointing. I took a great deal of time to figure out which bag to buy. It's an investment and ultimately worth it.
I actually have the 32f bag, but I thought to pop in here and let people know this series of sleeping bag from sea to summit is top notch!6 zippers give you the ultimate control over the bags temperature, making it comfortable in hot and cold weather. They are a bit finicky though. The 32f feels pretty dang warm, will test it out in a couple of weeks. The compression sack is good quality, and semi-waterproof.This bag on sale is a steal! A bit heavy, but still a great bag. The 32f is light enough for backpacking-for me at least.
