Just a sweet little kit.Kettle has a solid base into which everything (cups included) folds down into.Boils quickly and is easy to pour.Cups are a good size (and sit solidly, not flimsy) and make for pleasant cup of tea or a bowl of instant oatmeal.Used for bike camping and day trips. Very narrow, but the diameter is a bit wide so check you width if packing in a frame bag or saddle bag to make sure it will fit.Happy purchase. Hard part now is deciding if this is jasmine ride, green tea ride, or an earl grey ride.

Quite possibly my fave equipment in my backpacking kit. The cups take up no room because they fit right inside the kettle and the spout is the BEST for pouring!
Absolutely love it. Light weight and compact, this kettle set is incredibly easy to pack, disassemble, use on the trail, and reassemble for storage. Water boils very quickly. The kettle holds exactly enough water to fill both cups to the brim. This set is my new favorite piece of gear, and it will be going with me on all trips from now on!
We bought these for a bike packing trip over the holidays. They performed awesomely. The fact that they flatten down means they don't take up a lot of space. They were pretty stable on the small stove we used and the weight penalty was well worth the use. Perfect piece of equipment for two. I would recommend them for any one looking for light weight packable cook kit.
I LOVE Sea-to-Summit's backpacking cooksets. The way everything nests together is awesome, they're lightweight, convenient, and durable. The silicone is always way easy to clean in the backcountry which I love. These new sand/rust colors are SWEET. I have the X-pot, X-pan, X-kettle, lots of the x-mugs, and the Alpha utensils and they're all way better than any other backpacking cookware I've used. I generally use a camp stove--cooking with the silicone stuff over an open flame is definitely more difficult, but it can be done.
My first purchase in the x séries was actually a larger x-pot which I love since we often backpack as a family (with at least 4 of us) We purchased the kettle and cups for when just 2 of us head out and this is still one of my favorite pieces of gear. The pack size and weight is fantastic and functions great! I don’t know what more you could really want from it. I love this so much we’ve gotten this set and others from the x series as gifts for several different friends and family members.
Used this set for the first time camping a few days ago. We car camp, but still prefer nesting and collapsing gear. We used the kettle to heat water for pour over coffee, hot chocolate and for hot water to clean up after cooking. We used it on a single burner and were pleased. It was “stable” when pouring - it never felt flimsy. The cups - compared to some cheap collapsable ones we picked up at a big box store - these are far thicker. You get what you pay for. We like this set and would recommend.
Well mad and extremely convenient to pack in my backpack, takes up less room than the 1.5 liter pot I usually carry. X-Pot Kettle does take a little longer to boil water but the trade off in space in my backpack is worth it.Also, you can hold the cup after pouring or spooning hot liquid or food. Super easy to clean.
