Seachem Stability 250 ml

$12.00

(4,193 reviews)

Seachem Stability is formulated specifically for use in aquariums, containing a blend of highly beneficial bacteria which effectively breaks down waste organics, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. This makes it an ideal product to use when starting new tanks, as it rapidly establishes the biofilter, preventing “New Tank Syndrome”. It can also be used when adding new livestock, aiding in the prevention of ammonia/nitrite spikes. It is completely harmless to all aquatic organisms, including plants, so there is no danger of over use. Directions Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 ml) for each 40 L (10 US gallons) on the first day with a new aquarium. Then use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) daily for 7 days. Fish and other aquatic species may be introduced at any time as long as dosage is maintained for 7 days. For optimum biofilter performance use 1 capful for each 80 L (20 US gallons) once a month or with each water change and whenever introducing new fish or whenever medicating an aquarium. Product shelf life is 4 years from date of manufacture.

I recently set up a new aquarium. I used Seachem Prime and Seachem Stability. I had no choice but to add my fish before the tank completely cycled. I used Seachem Stability to help the process along. My fish were added and they are fine. It's always best to let your tank cycle completely but in the case? Seachem Stability surely helped the process along

We have had a problem with our tank like never before. Bri has been working with us, making suggestions and looking up a product she thinks might help. Although we haven’t cleared up the problem yet, we at least know we can talk with a professional and are confident we will get the tank where it needs to be again.

I bought this a week ago to use on my fish tank that has been cloudy recently. I have not done any water changes since starting this product to see how clear it makes the water. In the past 7 days it has worked as well as you would expect. The water is still cloudy, but it has decreased since beginning to use it. I will continue to use it, but I will also continue water changes. This product might be better used as a monthly product, and not as a savor for a highly cloudy tank. I will continue to use dispute the average performance.

My son recommended Seachem to me.

I have used different brands, but none as good as Seachem products. My aquarium water stays clean, clear and healthy thanks to three Seachem products.I use Seachem Prime, Seachem Stability and Seachem Pristine. Using them together has really worked for my aquariums.

I always use this when setting a new tank up, I have once again tried other products but tests seem to prove to me that this does what its meant to do. In saying that, if you fully stock a new tank and expect this product (or any other) to produce a 100% mature filtration system over a one week period your going to be disappointed. Its a 'help' to the new system, to kick start it, don't expect miracles. Nothing can replace taking your time stocking your tank, nice and easy/steady overtime :) You will not see an ammonia spike but you will of course see the Nitrite rise and fall with this product. So it does help.

Best thing to help boost your much needed freshwater bacteria. The more, the better. Cannot overdose your tank with this stuff. Great value too. 👏

Seachem Stability sure does stabilize!
11 July 2021

Was taking forever for my 75 gallon aquarium to cycle. No matter how many water changes the ammonia and nitrites were high. Researched products that could help and decided to purchase Seachem Stability. After the 4th day of using, my aquarium finally cycled with zero ammonia and nitriites. Tested 3 days in a row with no water changes and ammonia and nitrites still zero.

Stability is the right name
7 January 2019

my reef tanks are self sustainable. i dont change water unless i drop something or have some sort of contamination. Instead i heavily rely on pods and other biological means. Sometimes bio boost is necessary due to skimmer and UV uses as well as media/filter changes. Since i dose a small amount of stability once a week, instability is gone. Because of this successful use of stability, i started with pristine. Although i am not sure about effectiveness of prestine, i am sure it doesnt do a harm. i sort of trust the maker of stability because i clearly saw effectiveness.

Works really well!
13 January 2022

Purchased when I set up my new tank. only took two weeks to fully cycle. Used about ten plants and two decorations from an established tank, a bit of media for the filter and tossed in a handful of crushed shrimp pellets. By the end of day 3 my ammonia was around 3ppm. dropped to 1ppm by day 7 and was around 2ppm on nitrite. by day 12 i was at .25 ammonia 0 nitrites, and 10 nitrates. Day 14 it was definitive 0,0,20. Great product, great fast results.

will never use another company
20 November 2022

OK. I am on my second tank. have a 40 as a first tank. there is not enough info about the nitrogen cycle. so the 40 cycle did not go well. fast forward to know. have a 80 gallon setup and doing the fishless cycle. used ammonia chloride and a bacteria. after 2 weeks the ammonia was gone but the nitrites was at about 2 or higher and was stuck there for a week. did some looking decided to try this and after the first dose went from 2ppm to .25 and after the second dose was at 0. 2 days. WOW will never use another brand EVER. did water change for nitrites and will add fish soon. 3 week cycle and could have been less with this from the start. insane
