You will have to continuously re-download your PS5 games when you want to play them which seems counterintuitive. Partially my bad for not reading the full description but it seemed pretty straightforward. So let me save you the purchase if you're thinking of buying this for PS5 games.

While i really enjoy the hard drive itself, the trouble i had to go through with Walmart to get it almost made it worthless. The product is well worth the money. Walmart is not worth the trouble. i had to pay for it three times just to get one of em. and after over two weeks, I'm still waiting on refunds from the first two purchases. I'll say this, if you want one, go buy it straight up. don't order it for delivery and don't buy it for curbside pickup. cause they'll say it's there and it won't be. just go to the electronics department and put eyes on it before you spend any money. that's how they got me to buy three of em but i only have one of em.

Love this product. Great for storing your extra games. Easy set up. Would recommend. Can play ps4 games right from the hardrive ps5 games have to be redownloaded but it’s pretty fast. Was looking at similar products on other sites for more money and less space.

At first this was delivered to the wrong address but when I reached out to support they helped me immediately and sent another one to me for free with no issue at all. Customer support was amazing and the product itself is great too. Does what it’s supposed to and looks cool when turned on with the blue led. Matches the ps5 and backs up all my digital purchases.
Great product! Even better when it’s on sale. The storage on the PS5 is very limiting. This takes care of that problem. It seems some people think they can play the games from this drive. Not the case. It takes some time to transfer games back and forth. Nothing unreasonable for an adult who was used to downloading programs and files over dial years ago.
I bought this expecting to return it because of the hype that you couldn't import your PS5 games to it. Now i hope im not speaking to soon, but i just moved my first PS5 game from my M.2 SSD to the Seagate and had no issues doing so. Im not sure why others are having trouble but what i didn't do was format it to exFat. I just formated it to USB extended storage. Hope this helps. So excited to have tons of extra GB.
I decided to give this portable hard drive a try after my PS5 available storage was taken up by a few games. I'm simply using this hard drive as storage for PS5 games that I am not currently playing. This has allowed me to use my PS5 storage for about 5-6 games that I am currently playing. Transfer times between the hard drive and PS5 aren't terribly long, depending on the game's size.I also have a PS4, but I haven't attempted to save any of its games to this hard drive yet. I plan of trying it out on my PS4 later this month.I do recommend this hard drive for the PS5, as long as it's just for storage purposes.
Best Buy online order and pick up in store was a breeze.Super easy set up and use of the external hard drive for our PS5. HIGHLY recommend getting yourself one to avoid having to delete and reinstall games. We moved some PS5 games from the main system hard drive to the external in a matter of minutes. You can still play games while they're saved on the external hard drive without having to move them back over to the main hard drive. Wished I would have purchased this months ago!
I need some expansion for my PS5 because, yes 1 TB is not enough. I saw this was on sale around Black Friday, and even though it's not an SSD so you can't actually play PS5 games directly off it, I do have a few PS4 games that I'm able to store on it. It's quick and plug and play. Super easy to use, especially since it was made for the PS5.
I have used a 2tb internal drive with my ps5 which works wonderful. I’ve also have used flash drives to pull my videos and clips from the ps5 to create videos After awhile the usb flash drives become corrupted. I decided to buy the Seagate 5Tb for the PS5. This external hard drive is wonderful. Not only is it more memory, but it is so much faster than your regular usb speeds. It’s very easy transfer memory from the console to the hard drive. Also, transfers data fast from the hard drive to you pc/macbook. I am satisfied with this product and has made creating content easier for me. I recommend this a great buy if you want to store your clips and make a montage video or if you need some extra storage to save games.
