This is one of only a few scooters one can get with a seat. I used to bike ten miles a day to commute, but I recently became disabled and can't bike or walk or even stand upright for very long anymore. Even taking the subway to work is a struggle now because it requires walking. I spent months bumming rides off of everybody and taking lyfts to every appointment. Not anymore! This scooter gave me my freedom back! I'm so much more functional with it that I bought a second one just in case it's ever in the shop... But I rode it all winter and have never yet had a problem. I'm very impressed with the quality of this scooter! And the fact that the seat folds up with it makes it so much more portable than any other option. Even if I run out of battery or need to go ... MoreThis is one of only a few scooters one can get with a seat. Would require me to take the seat off, so I'd have to carry tools around just in case, and some way to carry it without losing the screws. This is just such a well-designed and well-made machine, I'm so glad I found it. Definitely the best option for me! G30 would probably have been just as good too. Thank you Segway for the independence to live my life!

I can attest that this scooter is an awesome commuter, that offers amazing bang for your buck in the commuter category. I weigh in the mid 200s, and with a full golf bag on my back I can still ride over 5 miles to the local course and back home on sport mode. The commuter mode is useable in the newer models, topping out around 15mph, and providing over twenty five miles tested range. Sport mode unlocks you up to about 19, with much more torque. Range is sacrificed in sport mode, and I’m seeing around an 18 mile average, give or take a few depending on your size and pack weight. Stability is awesome, but will take some hours to feel acclimated to the scooters balance point. The only draw back on this one is no suspension, which for the heavier riders can cause some ... MoreI can attest that this scooter is an awesome commuter, that offers amazing bang for your buck in the commuter category. High quality product

I chose this scooter because it is the most popular one worldwide. On receiving it, I could tell it was a high quality commuter transport, and not a kids or adults toy. It has a long range (all scooters have about half their claimed range in real world use). I found it to be better than the Neuron hire scooters that I tried prior to my purchase - smoother and more comfortable, as well as a little more powerful. The fact that I don't need a special power brick to charge it is great because I got a spare cable for $7 that I now keep at the office (not that I need it because the range is more than enough). I am using it to commute to and from work a few days a week, depending on the weather. I did get caught in the rain one time, but the scooter seemed to be completely unaffected and kept working like it was dry weather. There are scooters with fancier features around, but I chose this model because many of those features end up costing in maintenance/problems. The ninebot G30 max is an extremely reliable design and has been proven to work for thousands of km with rarely any issue. Scooter hut had already unpacked and set up the scooter so when I collected it, all I had to do was fold the handlebars and put it in the boot of my small car. This is the other great thing about scooters instead of a bike - you can easily put them in your car and take them somewhere to go scooting. Now I just need to save up to buy some more scooters, because my kids now want to go scooting with me.

I want to love it!

Okay - we recently got 2 GoTrax and like them so much I wanted to get something a little better with a farther range. I just got the Ninebot Max 30 from Best Buy. Great ride quality, and feels pretty solid. I don't like it that it's heavier than some of the other scooters. I mostly only have positive things to say about this scooter. I will mention the 3 things I don't like.1. The scooter looks a bit clunky compared to other scooters that are now coming out on the market. The functionality is more important than anything and the scooter works.2. The extra weight on this scooter makes it not as portable as some of the others. Not a big deal I can live with that.3. A known issue with some of these is a buzzing sound on the throttle when you press it or hold it down. Yep I got one that does this it is kind of annoying. My GoTrax is dead quiet. Also the throttle feels cheap compared to some there's like almost no give to it and it's hard to get a constant speed on it. My throttle is my only main gripe I guess. I read on forums that the throttle buzz is real and many have complained about it.Okay now - it was this Ninebot Max 30 or the NIU max. I'm not sure I chose the right one or not. The NIU looks super sweet. Also I want to mention what I think gives the ninebot max 30 Max a decent ride over many others is the thicker tires that is on it. They're either two and a half inches or three in I'm not sure I will have to measure. But the tires give a super smooth ride no matter what you're riding on pretty much. Don't go off road on it though you won't like it. Thank you for listening. I am autistic and I'm very picky about my stuff.

I upgraded to the Ninebot Max G30P after trying out the Ninebot E45 scooter. To compare the two, the Ninebot Max G30P gives more range/distance on a single charge, handles better, takes bumps better, and carries easier than the Ninebot E45. I wish I had bought this first (only because I used the Ninebot E45 less than 2 months and never got the advertised mileage range…now have to sell off that model). With that said, I really like the Max G30P, and it gives me enough range to get back/forth from work on a single charge. The advertised range is 40 miles, but I think in the Standard mode it’s going to be more like 25 miles, but that’s enough to cover the 22 mile round trip commute!!I bought the seat attachment as well and it installed very easy and feels ... MoreI upgraded to the Ninebot Max G30P after trying out the Ninebot E45 scooter. The Max G30P is easy to handle and easy to change between the different speed modes. With it set in the "standard" mode, it will cap at 15mph and can "lock in" speed after holding down on the throttle for 5 seconds. It's much more fun to ride than I expected, and I look forward to commutes on it and small neighborhood excursions.

I’ve been a “fan” of Segway scooters since 2019. I bought my firs KickScooter in the spring of 2019. Had to send it back for major repairs within weeks. After the repairs it ran wonderfully. I killed the drive shaft due to the small tire dimensions so I decided to get the newest KickScooter F40. (I sent my original one in to have repaired at minimal cost). Love, love, love the KickScooter F40 until the front tire split and became too dangerous to ride. Tried to send it in for repairs but Covid apparently shut down the repair hubs (I originally chose Segway because of the availability of repairs and the quick turnaround as stated in all of the reviews)…couldn’t get my KickScooter F40 repaired (still can’t, it’s been over a year and no word on any repairs or available ... MoreI’ve been a “fan” of Segway scooters since 2019. Didn’t ride it during the month of August (out of the country for a month) and now it doesn’t hold a charge and I can barely get a 15 mile range out of it. The batteries aren’t holding a charge despite being charged fully and even charging for 45 minutes when on 45% barely gets me a 5 mile range. Customer service isn’t very helpful and if you can get them to respond the response is vague at best.If you want to waste your money on a product that is subpar with a com that offers absolutely NO customer service then by all means purchase a Segway. After three scooters over the last three years (several thousand dollars of poorly spent money) I’m moving on an seriously recommend anyone interested in these products to reconsider.

The range is a lie
30 September 2022

Buying this scooter i bought it for the range per charge to be able to ride 30 mi its rated for 40 miles. With this scooter you may get up to 25mi at 5mph avg. You will never ever see that 40mi range. This scooter is far too slow on eco mode u cant even ride it on a slight incline without coming to a near stop. Running it on max is the only way to ride it so in reality u will only get about 17-20mi of range per charge in the real world enviroment. The regenerative braking was pretty cool but it does run off drum brakes. And it was nice u can set the intesity of the braking on the app it would be nive if there was an on the fly adjustment. Wen i reached out to segway about their return policy they refused to honor it and gave me the run around. So i had to sell it ... MoreBuying this scooter i bought it for the range per charge to be able to ride 30 mi its rated for 40 miles. With this scooter you may get up to 25mi at 5mph avg. Wen i reached out to segway about their return policy they refused to honor it and gave me the run around. So i had to sell it privately for a loss after abiut a week of ownership. The lights were there merely for legal requirement and were absolutely worthless for visibility DO NOT ride this scooter at night without running real lights like bike lights clip the rear one to ur backpack or something i bought a seat to put a light on. And the headlight basically shines straight down which works ok in eco mode as ur basically gonna be doing like 5-6mph. But u cant see ahead so i used a bike light on the bars. There are positive sides to this scooter though u have the ability to hack its software and void ur warranty which by segways attitude u dont have a warranty anyways theres to many exceptions tot heir warranty that gets them out of anything literally installing my own seat voids the warranty wat r u suppposed to do take it to a dealer every time u wanna unclamp the seat, get real you can unlock its speed potential with 3rd party software and extend the battery capacity i did not do this but if i got one again i probably would. There is a lot of aftermarket support for segway products. Their software works great wen its working properly if somebody steals ur segway they cant change any settings without ur password or until u release it from ur account, make sure u do that wen u sell it. The scooter ran reliably, felt of good quality, it was prorammed with a smooth power curve though the throttle delay was about a second. So if u think ur gonna do wheelies nope they have programmed that out for ur safety. The scooter doesnt take up much room wen folded. The charger being built into the scooter was a good call i used it wen i couldnt take my bike. But im way faster on my regular bicycle than this scooter i thought it would be faster than my bike with a 18mph speed claim it would maybe avg 10-13mph running on the highest setting cuz of slight inclines it would be slow then downhill it activates the regen to keep u at or below 18mph. I feel like this scooter would last me for years to come. But i cant get over the fact segway is straight up lying about their range. U can still ride further than normal escooters from walmart which u can probably expect 8-10mi from. But for me it was limited too slow, the range was too low to do wat i bought it for. After i sold it i bought a honda grom for 2k more.

Thrilled with this scooter!
1 August 2022

We were tired of the high cost of renting scooters and decided to purchase our own. We have been very happy with the Segway NineBot scooter. The pros:Easy to use. Most features are intuitive and user friendly.Sturdy: These seem well built and aren't flimsy or cheap. However, my only complaint is that the plastic clip that locks the stand into place broke on one of our scooters fairly soon after purchase with normal use. I haven't reached out to Segway yet for replacement so I can't comment on their customer service.Good battery life: The stated battery life has been accurate in our experience. The display panel on the scooter shows remaining battery level. There is an eco mode as an option if running low on battery charge but we have not needed to use it.3 ... MoreWe were tired of the high cost of renting scooters and decided to purchase our own. The display panel on the scooter shows remaining battery level. There is an eco mode as an option if running low on battery charge but we have not needed to use it.3 operating modes: One conserves power, one is good for crowded paths as it starts us a little more gently, and one is a sport mode that is awesome for open paths and max speed.Cruise control: You have to first enable this feature in the app. When you hold a consistent speed for five seconds, you hear a beep and then the scooter goes into cruise mode and maintains that speed until you either brake or speed up. I love this feature as I have carpel tunnel problems in my right hand and having a little relief from holding the accelerator is so great!Portable: This scooter folds and is not too heavy to be lifted. It fits in the truck of my car.Great app: The app is easy to use and lets me add both of our scooters one on account. Once you've set up the app, it's not required for riding the scooter. But I love the ability to record my ride and see the miles driven, the max speed, and my route. You can also e-lock the scooter with the app.Nice design: This is a good looking scooter and seems to perform as well as the scooters we used to rent around town.Overall it's a great scooter and I highly recommend it!

Very comfortable and daily commute
14 March 2023

I have two scooters: MAX G30LP and E22. I originally bought E22 as a simple and reliable scooter, but came up with an issue of lack of power driving it up the hills so I also bought MAX G30LP to fix this issue.Advantages of MAX G30LP:1. Very comfortable ride. Bad pavement or even no pavement is not a problem. Smooth acceleration, stable and robust2. Steep hills is not a problem either, in Sport mode it can move up almost any hill, strong feeling of confidence when driving around in various terrains.Disadvantages:1. Range is much less than expected. I am 6 feet 4 inches, weight about 180 pounds. I can only drive in Sport mode; in Eco mode it does not move at all, in D mode it is hardly moving. Actual range for me is about 15-16 miles, which is still good, just ... MoreI have two scooters: MAX G30LP and E22. Actual range for me is about 15-16 miles, which is still good, just need to plan accordingly2. Inflatable tires, which provide such a smooth ride, have a downside - you need to watch them and inflate from time to time. Not a bid deal however, but worse that E22 which is completely maintenance free.3. Cables for breaks make it more difficult to put it into the car trunk and back. Not a big deal either. So comparing MAX G30LP and E22:1. E22 is completely maintenance free, it is good to keep in car trunk just in case you need it from time to time. Not as comfortable though.2. MAX G30LP is good for regular commute, you will enjoy the comfortable ride
