I purchased this lock because I thought it would protect my scooter from being stolen. My rationale was if Segway was coming out with their own cable lock, it must be good enough to prevent their scooters from being stolen. However, my scooter was stolen the other day because someone cut through the lock. I was able to see the security footage, and the man who stole my scooter cut the lock within seconds. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. THIS LOCK IS NOT DURABLE ENOUGH TO PREVENT THEFT. I learned the hard way so you don't :(

Extremely convenient, it doesn’t take up space in my bag when I can just have it on my handlebars. Setting the code is just a flick of the flap inside the lock. You just have to make sure it’s secure around your scooter.
I was under the impression that this lock attached to the shaft of the scooter and locked it that way. This is essentially just a cable lock that comes with a holder for the lock that is installed on the handlebars of the scooter. The cable itself is relatively durable and goes through the back wheel. Would have been nice to get something a bit more sophisticated, but it works just fine.
Ingenious design to have the lock so accessible on the scooter but unfortunately, the button to release the lock from the holder is faulty at times. The red button sometimes stays flushed inside the holder allowing for the lock to slide out.
I purchased this for my Ninebot KickScooter Max G30P scooter and thief easily cut through the cable. They left the lock on the ground so I can see they used bolt cutters and stole both of my electric scooters. The outer coating is 12mm thick and inner cable is only 5mm thick. On top of that, this lock is not easily used with the Max scooter, you have to weasel it through the back tire area and it is cumbersome and difficult. Lastly the lock holder won't mount anywhere on this scooter, except on the handlebars which doesn't make sense when riding, not to mention there is only enough room on the handlebars for one single accessory.
The password lock works fine. The issue I have is with the App and recording each ride journey. The GSP feature is not working. I have re-installed the App twice however the feature is still not working.
Very good looking lock/cable that comes with a nice bracket for your handle bar. When I recieved the box, I was quite surprise at how light it was. The overall diameter of the cable with sleeve seemed thick, the the inside cable looked rather thin. Very concerned that this can be cut through easily with a light cutter or snip. I think it will buy you some time if you use this for short durations like running into the post office and back out. I would neve lock this over night outside. Guess, I shouldn't have expected too much for the price. Still, can't find a great secure locking solution for the scooter. Even tried running an ulock through the wheels, but the holes in the front wheel are too small my lock.
Thief kicked the lock open with ease and stole my scooter. Lucky they had no brains and did it under CCTV which the police were monitoring in Brisbane CBD, and they were promptly arrested with my scooter returned. Amazing how easily they kicked the lock apart, breaking it with ease. Buy and use at your peril. Purchased at JB HIFI Indooroopilly
