The watch is of excellent quality. Its grey sunburst dial is uniquely beautiful. Pair it with a dark brown leather strap and you have a beast that keeps time beautifully. The lume on this is absolute killer. One thing people don't mention are the silver edges to the lume, which also border the day and date complication--a beautiful and well thought out detail. The automatic, smooth ticking is a great feature and cooler than quartz watches' second by second tick. Sellers have jacked up the price since it was discontinued by Seiko, which is unfortunate but a natural result of this watch being so popular. This is a good watch to get away from battery powered watches. It seems to keep good time as long as it is wound. I learned that there are some Seiko models, like this one, that do NOT have a manual wind option. Only motion can wind it, requiring a watch winder if you don't wear it all day. I should have researched a little more.
