Been trying to find the best quality sound earphones that aren't over priced, got 15 sets all under 60 and these Sennheiser are on parr if not better than my Archos ones that I've used for over 10 years. Fits nicely in the ears, can sleep with them in, only thing lacking is a mic. Have to say these are better than my Sony XB50's, would recommend these over a lot of earphones that are at a higher price.

I was searching for some passive noise cancelling headphones, as I wasn't eager to carry along some massive active noise cancelling feature or have big cans on my ears. The overall sound quality of these is astounding, with excellent highs and lows, and when music is playing the noise cancelling feature is great! Sometimes I work in server rooms with lots of machines doing lots of noise and these headphones come quite handy. Note that the music does not need to be very loud for the noise cancelling "activity" to kick in. The only problem with these headphones, and I guess that it comes with any in-ear pieces, is that if you touch the cable the noise you hear is a bit loud. I honestly can't comment on the sound quality of these - I can't wear them long enough to get a good idea. For my ears they are at best uncomfortable, and at worst fall out; and a fit of any security runs a knife edge of blocking that ear from hearing anything at all.Also, the way vibration conducts through the cord into the ears is ++not enjoyable: merely breathing results in earthquake-like rumbling. Maybe I would get used to that eventually, but a) I shouldn't have to; b) I don't want to; and c) they don't stay in, remember? ;pThis has been my first and last experiment with wired in-ear 'phones.

Sennheiser have always produced quality headphones...and the CX500 is no exception. I have purchased several pairs over the years for family members...and they too are very impressed with the performance. The CX500 delivery crystal clear Treble, together with delivering exceptional Bass...The three sets of different sized ear buds ensure that you always find a perfect fit. They are lightweight and very comfortable. They are very well-made and have a quality feel. These headphones "punch well above their weight" and easily out-perform most brands costing twice their price. Well worth purchasing a pair. (But beware...as there are a few "fakes" out there)
Excellent earphones! Sound quality is amazing, if you're a bass junky like me then you'll love these. Keep in the pouch though as the cables deteriate badly over time and it's possible worth investing in spare ear buds as they come off quite easily.

I wanted to enhance her listening experience as far as possible but witrhin the parameters of storing the things in a handbag. When they arrived I immediately plugged them into my Heed Canamp headphone amplifier playing CDs from a 5 star reviewed(What Hi-Fi) CD player. I was pleasantly surprised by their performance given that I normally listen via audiophile quality full size cans. A significant upgrade over the ones that came with the portable device and acceptably comfortable as you would expect from this premier German manufacturer. The sound is muffled, doesn't sound like original Sennheiser
I love these earbuds. I used them to connect to my Roku remote. They were comfortable and I absolutely loved them. One of my favorites. Only flaw is for the price and what I used them for the wire started to fray which was a huge disappointment for me. I taped them with electrical tape but with wired buds that were a bit on the pricy side that I used just to connect a remote it should have never have frayed. All and all still my favorite wired ear buds
I found the earphones to be uncomfortable even though they are claimed to be for small ears. Volume control is difficult to locate and use. The slide adjustment versus a button system is less than acceptable and calibration is "iffy". I would recommend Klipsch as number one and Ultimate Ears as my number two pick. I purchased an Ultimate Ears with volume and mic controls as well as Klipsch with same two features; way better than what sennheiser offers.
I think Sennheiser earbuds are the best bang for the buck. Especially at this tier, they will blow you away if you're used to the default iPhone buds
