The build quality is good and probably the best in this price range. The comfort is fine. The noise cancellation is minimal. The sound is an absolute disappointment. It’s low resolution. It does have some good qualities like the good positioning of sound elements but other than that, I would rate the sound quality as poor. The cable is too long. All in all, while I cannot rate this headphone as poor because it has too many fair attributes to be labeled as such, I cannot recommend this product.

Item received in good condition, no damage and well-wrapped. I've only started using this today, so as far as sound quality goes, it's pretty good for its price. Personally, the build feels a little fragile so careful handling is a must. Cable's pretty long. Good if you have a spacious work area.Quality audio with average material/build. An okay compromise to my mind. Thank you seller.

Evidently Sennheiser has replaced the venerable HD-201 with this HD-206. The HD-201 was one of the few inexpensive headphones available with a reasonably flat frequency response that would not hype any particular frequency range. The HD-201 didn't sound exciting, but it did give you a reasonably accurate version of what a recording was intended to sound like. A very useful tool for people creating sound products. The HD-206 is similar, with improved imaging and detail. However Sennheiser couldn't resist also hyping the bass a little. That may make it more popular with casual listeners. But it is no longer quite as neutral as the HD-201. However it is still a bargain if you are seeking an un-hyped sound.

Nice long cable for if you're using these with an instrument. The sound is also very clean and neutral so if that's you're priority and you don't want to spend much these are worth a shot. I personally wouldn't recommend these for listening to music as they are lacking in low end and some clarity. Although some of that may be down to me not hooking these up to a proper DAC.
Sennheiser HD 206 stereo headphones are an entry level of the Sennheiser range of headphones. I bought these to use with the TV and they are perfect for that purpose. they come with a long 3 metre cable, allowing the listener to sit far enough away from the TV to be able to watch the programm comfortably. As you would expect from Sennheiser the sound quality is pretty good, the top end, middle range are fine, however, I have found that the bass and lower tones are a little overpowering on some TV programmes, although, I appreciate that may be down to programm maker or transmitter, however when there was a program that incorporated, big pipe organ music, then they behaved as I would expect from a Sennheiser product. The build quality is good and they are comfortable over extended periods of time, having large over the ear cups and being very light weight. The only downside that I can see at the moment is, the cable that connects the headphones to the TV/Amplifier and the foam cushions on the cups looks like they are fixed, unlike on more expensive Sennheiser headphones and they are the components that usually wear out first and are usually available for replacement from Sennheiser. I guess because these are an entry level, then to save production costs, this model has no replaceable parts, however, I would expect them to last years.
Needed some simple headphones to monitor whilst travelling. These are perfectly adequate, and at a great price from CEX. Grade B, they looked like they only had been used a few times. So many purchases from CEX now, always happy with quality, and choice. Delivery times vary sometimes, but never too long.
The Sennheiser HD 206 headphones give a natural sound and are light weight and comfortable to wear. It's important to note that they produce a natural even sound making them ideal for studio mixing and production use. They do not give over emphasis to bass frequencies like many headphones aimed at portable users - notably many wireless models. This makes them suitable for audiophiles who like a natural wide frequency response. They are not expensive either so affordable to most people . They have a good length cable as well as being supplied with a 3.5 mm to quarter inch plug adaptor for plugging into studio mixers and some higher end home sound systems.
Sennheiser's workhorse budget headphones, found in studios everywhere. And that's the point. These cans are more than adequate for general listening, punchy bass, good mids and treble but they are not audiophile headphones, their natural habitats are recording stuios, radio stations etc. They are designed to give a flat, accurate sound so tracks, music, voice, sound effects et al can be mixed accurately without any frequencies being falsely enhanced. They also come with a 3 metre lead which may be a bit long for domestic use but perfect if being used while you are sitting behind a drum kit! The cans are light, just the right amount of adjustment, they are comfortable and fit snuggly over the ear. They are ideal if you have look after the pennies but want performance at a budget. They are not the best headphones in the world but you can easily spend 30 on an inferior product to the HD 206.
I am having 3 headphones currently , SonyMDR XB450AP, Sennheiser HD 206 and JBL T460BT. Out of which Sennheiser is calmer relatively. I love hearing old songs in Sennhesier headphones. They seem more original in output with relatively less bass and hence soothing to hear and they come at a price atleast 1000 cheaper than the other two. If you need more bass you can hit the volume buttons. Very comfortable on ears and good noice cancelling too. I will recommend this if you are on budget and looking for ahead phones. The wire is probably 3 metres its useful but also ....... , completely depends on how you handle it.
