Sennheiser HD 25 Light Headphones

Excellent refresh of original SP version. Drivers are indeed upgraded and sound identical to my regular HD25-II. Headband has a decent snug fit with good isolation.

I bought these headphones for my girlfriend on recommendation from a DJ friend, along with DDJ-400 controller (which is on back order but should be coming in soon!). They really block out the sound around you and she said while we wait for the controller she found a way to adapt the plug in piece and use it on other devices! She’s so excited and loves them!

I have always got great gear from you guys. but these HD 25 lights are the pits,I wanted an open ear phone for studio work,and these things put in an igloo.horrible for radio.I really wanted something like my last pair HD415's perfect ,but I was told they don't have a updated version.I have wasted my money,and I will have to try something else,disappointed,but my own fault.Thanks anyway'Terry 'Tecka' Iredale

I’ve never had DJ headphones before, although I use some high end studio Beyer Dynamics for other purposes. These sound pretty wow for an “entry level”. Pumping bass hard, good on high frequencies. I like them.

Almost as good as the standard HD25s

If there was a 4.5 score I'd give this headphones that. Great sound and flexibility, but one thing that could be better is the bit that goes on top of the head - it presses too hard and also looks a bit cheap.. But I guess it's a light version for a reason. I'm already getting used to it :)

Great for Production

I bought these to use with my Canon C300 mkii while filming on documentaries. They provide a accurate, uncolored response. They are vary rugged with no parts that can easily break off.

QUALITY

These headphones punch well above their weight. Light to wear, great sound, and I don't have to charge them up! Simplicity personified. And a great price, Sennheiser have always made great headphones, and these HD25Light, carry on the tradition, a great purchase.

The best quality sound from all the over ear headphones available. Fair price point and comfortable to wear.

Unusable

Surprisingly, these ear pads dampen bass very strongly. The sound of my HD25 had become terrible. I immediately put back the original ones and no more problems. The foam of the headband is not of good quality, it deforms after 5 minutes of use. The whole thing is comfortable and quite good-looking, too bad it's unusable.

Useful

These are a nice tool for monitoring audio. They aren't over the ear covering, and the headband has a cheap feel to it, but they provide a reliable source of audio to monitor. Very lightweight and easy to drive for headphone amps.
