The earphones come with a weighty magnetic case which is made partially form silicone which looks very sleek. Lights are on the case to indicate when and how charged it is. I found the sound quality to be incredible, you don’t need them loud at all to get the same effect as most. Every song sounds amazing. To get the most out of these you can download the app where it has incredible features where the earphones can tell your heart beat and temperature. It has an anti wind mode perfect for on the move whether it be a windy day, running or biking. It had a transparency mode which lets you chose whether it completely blocks out sound or lets a little in. You can create your own audio preset so music plays with your own custom adaptations like bass boost, enhanced speech clarity for pod casts etc. You double tap to play or pause, triple tap to either play the next or previous song, touch and hold for volume up or down. You can test a sound zone which uses your location to set how transparent or whether you want anti wind mode on whilst you’re walking from one location to another automatically. It also tells you how charged the case is and your headphones I find the battery life amazing they last so much longer than my previous pair and don’t take long to charge to a good percentage. These earphones are truly superior to any I’ve tried before and I am so impressed with them. I can highly recommend them to anyone!

Along with the extra scoring pieces that ensure the bud won’t fall out ( not that you need them in reality but it’s nice to have options ) The buds themselves. The build is great! They’re comfortable great sound quality and over all, once again, have a premium feel to them. The controls are honestly the only downside to these headphones because you mess with them when popping them in and taking them out, but that said you can do everything you need from the app anyway so that’s not the best all and end all. And I have no doubt the longer I use them the more adept I’ll be at managing the controls! The functions themselves are good too, I can track my heart rate and temperature from my ear which is novel and I have no doubt that the functionality will only improve through iterations to come. Overall this product is amazing and I genuinely would recommend! Great all rounder fits snug in the ear and looks great 10/10

First impressions, wow, they are lovely. They feel pretty solid but lightweight enough not to make them feel too heavy in the ear. They come in a lovely case which you use to charge the buds. Setup is pretty simple and the accompanying app is lovely, I love the fact that it shows you your body temperature and heart rate. You have the additional option to pair different body sensors such as a heart rate monitor and body temperature monitor such as Polar. There are plenty of features in the app to allow you to customize different things like the Equalizer, bass boost, Controls (when tapping the buds) and Noise control. You can tap the buds to change options like pause, play, skip, change Noise control or press and hold to change volume up or down. There is also the option to tap in front of the ear to change options. I did find I ended up changing settings quite a bit when trying to adjust the buds in my ear which can be a little frustrating. There are 3 different Noise controls, ANC, Anti Wind, Transparency. ANC does a good job of cancelling out surrounding noise however, it does not block it completely. Transparency mode customizes how much noise you can hear while playing the music, it is interesting for the fact that if you pause your music while in transparency mode, you can hear how it amplifies surrounding sounds. With music playing, it becomes this mashup of your music and external sounds. I found the buds to fit comfortably in the ear, the only downside to them is the security ring that you place around the bud that fits into your ear to help keep them in place, I found this to move\slip off when taking the buds off or trying to secure them in my ear. The buds should have had a slight recess around them where the ring goes so that they fit more securely and flush with the external shell of the bud thus avoiding the security ring from moving. Their website shows a picture of the ring sitting flush with the exterior however, this is not the case as shown in the pictures below. The buds come with 3 different sized security rings so that you can find the one that is best for you. It also comes with 3 different sized ear pieces which is pretty standard. Battery life seems to be pretty good. Overall, they are a great bit of audio equipment and I am truly impressed with the sound quality and look forward to using them some more.

For starters these earbuds are IP55 splash resistant. That means they’re dust resistant but not completely dust tight and can withstand water exposure for up to 55 minutes at one atmosphere. So, they’re not waterproof but should be OK in the rain and protected from perspiration but should not be used for swimming. The case is 2.5” square and can charge via USB-C or wireless charging. The case has a nice soft finish instead of hard plastic and includes a small lanyard to attach it to a bag or to prevent dropping it. Unlike most earbuds I’ve used, these can be removed very easily from the case even with big fingers. Aside from the earbuds, the package includes S/M/L ear tips and S/M/L ear fins that help keep the earbuds securely inserted. There’s also a fin with no extension if you prefer to not use them. The earbuds work in partnership with Polar and their Polar Flow app and can track you Heart Rate and Body Temperature through the left earbud. Through the Polar Flow app, you can share the information real time with other platforms such as Strava and other sports apps or devices. The app is one of the fullest featured I’ve used. It includes the ability to created “Sound Zones” based on a certain distance of your GPS coordinates that will set the Noise Control (ANC/Anti-Wind/Transparency) and Equalizer when entering or exiting the area. The earbuds offer much more control directly from the devices because tapping the ear bud directly versus tapping your cheek in front of it or touching and holding it can be programed for different functions. The equalizer has a Bass Boost and a Podcast toggle, as well as Natural, Rock, Pop, Dance, Hip Hop, Classical, Movie and Jazz presets. There is also the option to set additional presets based on 5 frequency ranges. You can also perform a Sound Check where you play your favorite music, then similar an eye test it will scroll through each frequency range and ask you to select which of 3 setting sounds the best. Once done it will save that configuration as an equalizer preset. The Noise Control setting allows you to set you mode to either ANC, Anti Wind or Transparency, and in each mode, you have the option to set the transparency level, whether transparency should be active (low/high) during phone calls and whether music should be paused if transparency mode is activated.Additionally, the app has a Fit Test that will guide you through getting the correct fit for each earbud. In my case it determined I needed a larger ear tip in one ear than the other!I wasn’t surprised that the sound from this unit was fantastic, and there was no noted latency when using them paired to a computer, tablet or my TV when watching movies.
Sennheiser has been an outstanding brand in home audio with their excellent pedigree with headphones used for music and personal computing and the Momentum Sport true wireless earbuds are another product that solidifies that reputation. The Momentum Sport are well-built, quality feeling ear buds with 4 contact charging pads and a LED indicator on each earbud. There are no physical buttons or parts of the earbud that depress for functionality, it is all capacitive touch and sensor interactions that control the function of the earbuds. They are slightly larger and heavier than a pair of competing earbuds in a similar price range and smaller and lighter than the PowerBeats Pro they will be replacing.Battery life is good at around 4-5 hours playing music continuously ... MoreSennheiser has been an outstanding brand in home audio with their excellent pedigree with headphones used for music and personal computing and the Momentum Sport true wireless earbuds are another product that solidifies that reputation. The Momentum Sport are well-built, quality feeling ear buds with 4 contact charging pads and a LED indicator on each earbud. They are slightly larger and heavier than a pair of competing earbuds in a similar price range and smaller and lighter than the PowerBeats Pro they will be replacing.Battery life is good at around 4-5 hours playing music continuously while lasting most of the day with mixed use for phone calls and some music mixed in. Another interesting feature of the Momentum Sport earbuds is that they also have some health monitoring capabilities like heart rate and body temperature, which can be checked in the Sennheiser Smart Control App. The left ear bud has the sensors for heart rate and bpm and the app will tell you to insert the left ear to get those readings. The App allows you to manage connections to your earbuds and it says clearly it supports Bluetooth MultiPoint, which allows you to connect to two BT devices simultaneously, like a SmartPhone and a laptop/PC at the same time. That way, if you are listening to music and take a call on your phone or laptop, it'll switch to the call and mute the other source. Similarly, if you are listening to something on your laptop/PC and take a call on your PC or your phone, it'll pause/mute your other source for the call on your phone. This all worked seamlessly and worked well in practice switching between sources without having to manually switch between devices on the laptop or on my iPhone. There's other neat aspects to the app, such as the ability to conduct a Fit Test, which uses a combo fo the sensors and the external microphone to test how much noise leakage there is to come to a fit score. I got a score of Good and the earbuds were very comfortable for me in both my ear canal and the outer ear where the body of the earbuds rest. The "wings" however were useless for me so your mileage may vary. Mine pointed out too far outward and not under the top lobe of my ear. Installing those are rather simple, there's 2 letters on each silicone wing - first letter is which earbud and second letter is the size. So RS would be Right Small, LL would be Left Large etc. Remove the "blank" ring and there's a little notch key showing the top of the earbud and install the wing you want to use and align the notch/tooth again. The app also lets you set the Active Noise Cancelling levels which I found to be very good. You can have full ANC which blocks out sound, and you can also set a level of transparency which allows some ambient/outside noise to passthrough, which is good if you are on the phone call or talking to someone so you don't sound like you're shouting. There's also Anti-Wind which blocks wind noise but still allows some ambient noise between ANC and Transparency mode.In terms of sound, Sennheiser doesn't disappoint with the Momentum Sport. Very clean sound especially treble, midrange and upper notes. Bass as is typical with earbuds isn't the best, slightly muffled and not as punchy and responsive as full headphones or home speakers but Bass is still pretty good for true wireless earbuds. There's a Bass preset in the app and honestly there's not a ton of difference between toggling it on or off.My main disappointment is with the capacitive touch controls. The Smart Control app has diagrams showing the touch controls and the taps don't see that great in terms of responsiveness. I don't think it confidently starts/stops music and I also did not see a command to swap inputs. You can stop playback and then start playback on the device and the Momentum Sport will then play that source but it would be nice if they had a manual switch option and then the ability to tap the earbud once to play. Hopefully future firmware updates clean this up.The case is definitely larger than other True wireless earbuds like Jabra Elite or Apple Airpods Pro, but it is considerably smaller than the PowerBeats Pro I am replacing, probably about 65% of the size and thinner too. The case is rigid with a soft touch feel and definitely has premium vibes, but it has a little rubber membrane holding the clamshell design together with a magnet fastener. This could be a long-term failure point for something that is supposed to be rugged for sport. So far I've used the Momentum Sport mowing the lawn, walking the neighborhood, at work and at the pool. These are water resistant, not water proof, and so far they have held up great with just water splashing but not submerged which is how I plan to use them. I can listen to music and take calls while watching the kiddos at the pool. BT connectivity is great and I had no issues with signal with clear line of sight at 45 feet.Highly recommend the Momentum Sport earbuds, but I'm hoping they simplify and clean up the touch commands. I think part of the issue they have is there is a light touch method of controlling the earbuds for when they are partially covered, but in those cases I would still use my voice assistant like Siri.
I am a triathlete and if you are also an athlete or you just want to enjoy high quality earbuds while being active the Sennheiser Momentum Sport earbuds check all the boxes for many reasons, let me shortly explain:Right out of the box the Momentum Sport earbuds look great, the case has a nice and soft silicone cover and both are of good quality. What sets these earbuds apart is the integrated performance tracking sensors, Yes, they do have them. They monitor my Heart Rate with the built-in photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor that does a great job. I can track my heart rate while being active and also when I am resting so I know if I am truly recovering. The Momentum also have Body Temperature Sensors, what? They do monitor body temperature during workouts. And all this data is important, the better tracking the better I know how to train. I can see stats to help me push myself further of perhaps slow down, either way to help me get better.Best of all the tracking is powered by Polar and I can use Polar Flow to see and share this information to my other workout applications like Peloton, Zwift, Strava, Nike+, MyFitnessPal, and more.In other words the Sports Ecosystem Compatibility make the Momentum Sport tracking information be paired with many applications, watches and other equipment via App and Bluetooth so I can see the data I need seamlessly.I also like the Secure and comfortable fit, I did try different fins and ear tips to ensure the best fit, and just so you know, both ears do not have to be the same size, once I found the right fit I do not need to worry about it any further. While weight lifting or even doing yoga they stay in place.Something else I enjoy is the shock, dust, and sweat-resistant they have, in other words they are IP55-rated so I can sweat it out worry-free.About the sound, these earbuds deliver crystal clear sound with amazing bass without being overwhelming and they just make all my workouts more powerful. For example I ran seven miles outside with them today and they are very comfortable while providing amazing premium sound and since I was outside I turned on the transparency mode so I hear my surroundings. And while talking about the Transparency Mode; this means that when I am doing an activity when I need to be aware of my surroundings like cycling, I do not need to take the earbuds off; I can hear my surroundings perfectly with a touch of the earbuds. The adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is great, at the gym it can be loud at times and I like to be focused and since the ANC adapts according to the surroundings, they offer distraction free workouts, no more interruptions or distractions at any time.Taking calls can also be customized; I can focus on the call or turn on transparency mode so I can stay aware of my surroundings while on the call. Finally the application is very helpful, it helps you in every step of the way to pair them, updates, also see information on how they work and I can customize them too. The application even helped me with the Fit Test to get the right fit.Overall, the Sennheiser Momentum Sport earbuds combine great smart sensors with premium sound quality while providing a secure comfortable fit. Whether you're a seasoned athlete who demands superior audio with intelligent functionality or just starting your fitness journey and want to get going, these earbuds are an excellent choice.
I really really wanted to love these. Moving fitness tracking into earbuds is not new but this is the newest attempt/iteration that I’m aware of. That Sennheiser, the company who makes most of the equipment I use, got me really excited for the sound quality. After all, with Sennheiser’s history and expertise producing in-ear monitors for professionals, it seemed like a toss up that sport ear buds would carry over some of that sound.I’ll start with the negatives, which are likely highly subjective given everyone’s ears are different, not in sound preference and physical anatomy. Combining multiple size ear tips with ear fins for added security was logically a good call for strenuous workouts. Combining multiple size ear tips with ear fins for added security was logically a good call for strenuous workouts. In practice, however, doing metcons with these in, I could constantly feel and “notice” the ear fins. They never fully popped out of my ears, but I did have to adjust them periodically. Secondly, the accuracy of the pulse tracking isn’t stellar. For steady runs, the readings matched my Apple Watch but any time I did HIIT exercises, it was all over the place. Finally, apps on apps. Predictably you need to download the Sennheiser Smart Control app to change EQ, ANC settings, etc. but for the fitness, you then need to also download an additional app by Polar to get the full readouts and trends. Thankfully, you can at least see the basic values of your temp and HR within the main Sennheiser app.For the good, the sound quality is punchy with a good amount of bass if that’s your thing. Ear tips were standard with varied sizes, and I found them to be comfortable enough. The fins provide added security and stability as stated above.Overall, the sound quality was on par with what I’d expect from a premium-priced offering from a well known sound company like Sennheiser. If you don’t already own an external gadget like a garmin/appke watch/etc, then this can be your one stop shop. If you already own any type of equipment that can perform fitness tracking, however, I’m not sure that the added price is worth the jump.
It’s not that I dislike these headphones, but I was expecting a better sound from Sennheiser, and then the fact that the “extras” aren’t all that great in reality kinda made me feel bummed and they seem overpriced. With the cost of everything going up, I understand our favorite tech will now cost more as well, but I think you can still get a good sounding high quality set of earbuds under 300. In my opinion, these should be in that price category. (If you see them on sale, grab them) The bonus extras of having a heart rate monitor and temperature readout is nice, but like others, I found it to be inaccurate when running, as if it got locked on my running steps and not my heartrate. But that’s speculation. But that’s speculation. All I know is my other heart rate monitor I was wearing did not match but DID have more fluctuation. On that same topic, these headphones boast working with polar, which is an app I didn’t use before, so I made an account, went through all of the mandatory check boxes of agreeing to share all my info with anyone that wants it (not a big fan of that) all to find out that the app really doesn’t make a lot of sense to me and doesn’t seem to do much without a subscription or other hardware. Honestly, I just deleted my account and decided that app wasn’t for me. I am trying to see if I can get the buds to work with my other health apps I use but so far I haven’t gotten it to work and unfortunately they want a review now before I was able to fully explore all the options. So I can’t talk on that part. What I can talk on is audio quality. They’re….pretty good. And I say that maybe a little unfairly because I’m holding the brand name to higher standards, but I have heard better quality from Sennheiser and these were a bit of a let down. Now I get that these are focused on sport use and not audio quality, but they have the ability to do both well, it just feels like they didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, these still sound really good and have a solid full range and thick bottom, crisp top etc, but they didn’t feel as powerful and punchy as I expected. I also don’t think the ANC works all that great. It definitely tunes out a fan or noises like that, but running in the wind was still not great and the anti wind was just ok. Again, a bit picky sure, but the advertising had me feeling like I could toss these on and run in comfort and good audio while checking my heartrate but I wasn’t getting great results in practice, maybe others will.So yeah, they’re not my favorites and those are my negative thoughts, but what is there to like? Well, like I said, the audio gets the job done. Picky audio people might have a complaint, but the general public will be happy. Unless you love muddy bass heavy for the sake of saying bass heavy, you won’t get that here, but you will get a well balanced sound, just missing that power. If you’re using these to work out, you probably need to be a bit aware of your surroundings anyway, and the transparency mode works great for that, which is a bonus.I also thought the app was actually pretty good. You can customize the layout a bit, you can see your temp and heart rate live, as well as the EQ and a few other settings. You also can change what the touch controls do for each bud which is nice and not on a lot of other headphones.Another great feature is the touch without touching ability. If you have gloves or a hat on, you can simply touch your cheek near your ear and the touch will (usually) go through. This was helpful when I wore them working in the yard with gloves on and was able to still skip tracks etc. You can NOT adjust the volume this way however since that touch input relies on a touch and hold function. Now, all that said, the touch sensitivity is a bit too much for me and I may have to turn this stuff off because of it. I always have to fiddle with the fit of buds because I can’t get them just right and every time I would touch the very outside edges to try to re adjust, they would start turning up or down the volume or pause, etc. While we’re talking about the fit, they do include the wing tips you can put on or off and 3 sizes, which is really nice, however I don’t feel like these are a very comfortable wingtip and even though I am usually a fan, I had to remove them because they were causing too much pain on my inner ear. They DID help hold the buds in, and on shorter runs with a lot of bouncing, I might just have to deal with them, but for extended wear I think I need to take them off. I have a pair from Bose that fit really comfortable, but these tips don’t feel that way.One last note, the ear tips are clear so the heart rate and temp can work, so if you wanted to replace them with more comfortable tips that are not clear, those features will not work anymore. I believe you can find replacements direct from the manufacturer and I’m sure 3rd party groups will or have made them, I haven’t looked yet because the included tips fit ok for me, but I know I tend to want to get replacements down the road for a better fit with my ear buds and these may be a little more tricky to find.OVERALL, I am still really happy with these buds, but I feel like they may be a specific target audience that will use them. Especially if you already use the polar app, then I think this would be a great addition. But if you don’t use that and are like me and don’t want yet another app downloaded to use something you bought, then you might be just as happy with something else. The perks of these buds are not the audio quality or build design or anything unique and special (outside the heart rate and temp reading and face touch) so if that’s not as important to you, you could buy some other Sennheiser products that may be a better match for you. If you are super sporty and love the idea of headphones that track your vitals for you too, these are a must have. It just depends on what person you are

The audio is rich, clear and accurately reproduced with a broad "sound stage" that belies the small size of the earbuds. While they're never going to have the overall range of a full room setup, they're shockingly good. Likewise, if you're using these earbuds for a call, you can be sure you'll be heard clearly as well. Setup is quick / easy, the earbuds seem to hold a strong charge and they're comfortable to have in your ears once you pick the right tip for your ear size (the medium works well for me).So, with ALL that good, why only a 4 star rating? For me, that's all about the case. While the earbuds are very small, the charging case is HUGE - seemingly nearly double the size it would need to be, which makes it hard to just toss in a pocket like you would with other competing buds. That's a huge negative. On top of the size of the case, it's also poorly thought out with a flexible fabricy piece connecting the lid and body which I can see wearing / tearing over time. Similarly the cover for the charging port has a flimsy and difficult to secure flap on it. The case is a detractor from what would otherwise EASILY be a five star product. So there you have it - a GREAT sounding set of earbuds let down by a case that needs a re-design. If the case ever DOES get a redeign, these would be a top pick for sport earbuds - as is, I can still recommend them, but with a bit more hesitation.
One the most annoying issues I have encountered while working out with earbuds is one, or both, earbuds falling out in the middle of a rep, on the treadmill or at any other point when I’m in the zone. There have even been times when one has fallen behind or underneath a piece of equipment where I have to completely stop what I’m in the middle of, get an employee, and wait minutes while my heart rate drops. Fortunately, with the new Sennheiser Momentum Sport wireless earbuds, I don’t have that worry about the occasional lost earbud unless my wife smacks them out of my ears when I don’t respond to her because I literally can’t hear anything when wearing them with the adaptive noise cancellation technology combined with their airtight fit. Not only have I been using them while working out but also around the house where my wife and I take care of up to eight children with our in-home daycare business; they work great to drown out the constant ambient sound of screaming children five days a week. If they don’t quite fit out of the box, they included several sizes of earfins and eartips for a better fit.The Momentum Sport earbuds rock the latest Qualcomm aptX processor, adaptive noise cancelling, Bluetooth 5.2, are rated IP55 splash resistant and allow for wireless charging. They are very easy to set up, sync to your smart device and the Smart Control App. After a quick hardware update, you can spend some time tinkering with the settings via the app to adjust the equalizer, toggle through the noise cancellation controls and download the third-party app, Polar, that allows for the earbuds to track your heart rate and body temperature which is great for those who don’t want to wear another device while working out such as a smart watch.Being an avid audiophile for over thirty years, I also have high expectations and a keen sense for sound in general. Sennheiser has been one of the leaders in the audio industry for decades and they continue to impress with their new Momentum Sport earbuds. You can always expect to hear clear highs and heavy bass from their products combined with the latest technology. They honestly sound great with any genre of music, movies or shows. Because of the amount of features, great sound and secure fit, the Momentum Sport earbuds may eventually end up being my most used earbuds even over my other high-end non-sport earbuds just to have some reassurance I probably won’t loose one under the couch.
