This is both powerful and lightweight! It is worth noting though that I had bought this brand and model a few months ago and it seemed "off." The handheld part worked fine when it was detached from the stick, but when it was attached the motor / beater brush did not engage and it sounded like the suction was working but no debris was getting channeled to the container. I ended up exchanging it since it's too expensive for it to only partially work. I really like the cordless feature and this vacuum is pretty quiet! It charges fast and doesn't take up a lot of room. However, it was marked as being "for pets." We have 3 dogs and tile floors. So the hair is always an issue. I bought this vacuum in January and it has gotten clogged several times with hair. It's not too difficult to clean out, but definitely not what I would call a pet vacuum if it regularly gets clogged due to dog hair. So, if you don't have multiple pets, I would definitely recommend!

I bought this on a black Friday deal and was very excited to have a cordless vacuum. I have a big yellow lab and hardwood floors that I vacuum every day. Right away I was disappointed to find out that it does not have a headlight like my regular Shark. It does not stand up on its own so has to be taken apart or leaned on something for storage. Why doesn't it have a docking station or hanger like other models? It was very quiet and did not feel very powerful. When emptying the canister I had to manually pull out the dog hair every time I used it because of a little plastic lip on the lid. Charges well and easy to empty. Isn't that great with pet hair which is what it's supposed to be best at. There is not enough suction for hair or anything else. The design causes dog hair to gather in the corners and doesn't go into the canister. I have to physically pull out the hair. This is not the fault of the Ebay seller. I have no problem regarding my transaction, but the way this sweeper works is a let down for sure. It is surprising cause I had always heard that the Shark brand is very good.

I have a 2 level house with a basement. Upstairs is all shaggy carpet where as my main level is a combo of hardwood and rugs.I also have 4 cats and 4 dogs!Cleans well, very quiet and lightweight.I can typically get through my whole downstairs on high level and some of the basement on one charge.The canister could use a little more volume but that could just be the fact that I have 8 indoor pets only vacuuming twice a week.Love the fact that I don’t have to mess around with cords so that kind of makes up for the small canister.Hope this review is helpful!

I like that you don't have to hold the power button on the whole time like some models such as Dyson which is uncomfortable and can make the use tedious. Just switch this one on to use. With proper care this is such a great go-to powerful little vacuum.
horrible horrible vacuum.i was so excited to buy a shark. eveeyone in my family has one and just raves about theirs.this however is garbage...expensive garbage.we have a newfoundland, a sky mix and 3 kids.for it being a pet vacuum it doesnt do pet hair very good.it gets clogged and will flip anything out infront of it.i usually have to stop 2 or 3 times to unclog it.it also doesnt keep a charge worth beans.save your money and your time and sanity...get a different vacuum
I have two dogs and live in an older home w hard wood floors. I was tired of sweeping but I was doubtful that a vacuum could do a good job on hardwood floors. This vacuum is amazing. I keep it charged all the time and I've yet to run out of battery while working. I am amazed at the amount of dirt it's picking up everyday. I find myself wanting to clean more because of the ease and weight of this machine.
