Could be 5 stars if it weren’t for the battery, it’s a bit heavier than the Dyson it’s replacing but it handles pet hair much much better. My main gripe is the battery, it barely lasts long enough on the auto setting to do the house, sometimes I need to do the house in two goes because the battery lacks the capacity and it takes so long to recharge. And the price for the second battery is a ridiculous $124.95 and they don’t even sell the dual dock separately here like they do in other jurisdictions. Considering the age of this battery technology there’s no excuse for such a premium price when the supplied battery is not good enough for the job. Great Product so easy to put together. Isn’t as heavy as I was expecting I did try a different make before this one which was way too heavy and I couldn’t use it for any length of time before my back was killing me. The run time on the battery is great and allows me to do quite a lot of the house in one go. Being older now I find I can’t do the upstairs and downstairs all in one go anyway but I’m sure it would do it all on one charge. The good thing is if you have a bigger house you can purchase an extra battery which is so much better than those ones you can’t change the battery and have to wait for it to recharge. Emptying the hoover is so simple too it opens and everything falls out with my previous one unless you totally dismantle the the whole thing to clean it you have to get a knife or something to go round the filter to get all the dirt out. The anti hair wrap is amazing I have long hair and I was always having to clean the brush before to remove my hair that was wrapped round it. And anything else (wool or thread) and it’s a lot quieter. The different speeds you have are great too but I really like the one which senses when there is heavy dirt and speeds up and then slows back down when there is light or no dirt (very clever) the air freshener which is in the Stratos is lovely and with two smelly dogs it does a great job. Can’t Thai k of any bad things to say about this hoover it’s amazing and I’m so glad I got it.

Really disappointed with this purchase. My household hoover is a Shark, which I’ve been extremely happy with. However, this didn’t meet my expectations for such a good make. It states that it has a battery life of 1 hour but this wasn’t my experience. Lucky if I got 40 mins and if you use the booster when hoovering carpet you get even less. And didn’t pick up great! It’s ok when hoovering hard floors as it has a duster roller but as I have only two rooms with hard floors, isn’t really justified in the cost! Really wish I’d went with another manufacturer, as I feel it has been a waste of money and would return it if I could… sorry Shark!
