Shark NV360 Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum with Large Dust Cup Capacity, Hepa Filter, Swivel Steering, Upholstery Tool & Crevice Tool, Blue

I have had this vacuum for over 3 years and still work like it's new. It's the best vacuum I have owned. I have a dog that sheds like crazy and I have not had an issue with this picking up the hairs. It picks up so much of his dander as well. Since the canister is clear, you can see how much it has picked up. I also live in a building near a windy construction zone, so everything gets dusty quickly. This has no issues picking up all the smaller fine dust. There is a hard floor and carpet setting. I use both as I have both laminate and carpet throughout my home. I have even accidentally turned on the carpet setting, which turns on the brush roller, and it didn't scratch the laminate flooring. So there isn't an excuse to put those things off when it comes to cleaning. The filters are also accessible to repurchase as the vacuum is pretty popular, so it's easy to find in store or online.

Dissapointed in Shark

This is my third shark. I have dogs and vaccuum a lot. This model was not my first choice, but the price point was excellent (I thought).The design and friendliness of this vaccuum is poor at best. First, vaccuuming on harwoods is a joke. I have to use the carpet setting in order for it to actually pick anything up. When you try to use it on any carpet, you need a heavyweight champion to push it. If you actually have a carpet with ANY pile, don't bother. It freezes. The lift away feature was the one I was most excited about but it is incredibly challenging. Using the handle without the wand is impossible because of the very short hose and when you remove the wand, the attachments you have on it fall off. Engineering nightmare

I have owned many Shark vacuum's. I buy them because they are affordable and have an option to turn off the beater bar. It was time to replace my Shark, so I purchased this model which was comparable to the model I had. There are so many con's to this unit. The small attachments are placed to the left of the handle. One is on top, crevice tool underneath. The crevice tool continually falls off. The vacuum falls over easily. Hard to keep the thing on the ground. The on off button is now placed down by the dirt container which means it isn't convenient at the handle. The dirt container used to be easy to remove with a press and release mechanism. The suction adjustment doesn't lift the vacuum enough to easily push on low plush carpet. I couldn't be more disappointed in this vacuum. I did call Shark and they enlightened me about the suction dial at the top of the vacuum, but the vacuum is still very hard to push. I have only had it since July, but I am on the hunt for a replacement. Will never buy another Shark.

I love my sharp HEPA filter vacuum

I love my shock navigator. I think it’s the best vacuum I’ve ever used. I’ve used them for years and I’ve bought them my PC Richards. The last one I bought lasted for years and the one I had bought not too long ago seemed to want to make right turns rather than, go straight. I think it was a handle issue anyway it was still under warranty under PC Richards and Northport and they wanted to have it serviced so they went into the computer to set up a date and put the information about my vacuum and it can be exchanged because it’s really not worth fixing it Because it’s inexpensive but it works like dynamite. I love it. I have a lot of of sharp Products and I love them and most of the things in my home electronically kitchen TVs TV stands dishwasher washer and dryer ... MoreI love my shock navigator. Not for a (even semi) hairy house

I choose this vacuum because it was the highest rated on consumer reports and on sale for Black Friday, which happed to be the day my old shark stick vacuum stopped working. I’ve used this about 6 times through my entire house in the two weeks since getting it. Right off the bat I didn’t like how heavy it was and the difficulties of removing the hose and/or the canister. But it worked and was on sale so I figured it was still worth the purchase. Brings me to today when I started cleaning the filters, canister, and roller. The roller was completely filled with wrapped hair. My household is myself, long haired female, three males with little to no hair, and a Labrador. Read the Manual First Before Use

Overall I am pleased with the Navigator Lift-Away. I do clean more often than I did with my previous vacuum cleaner.It did take a little time getting use to the many removeable parts and the power switch. This added complexity. I haven't yet my spouse use it yet because of this. The power switch has three settings; off, on, beater on. The manual warned about having the beater running with the vacuum staying in one place. Say, I'm cleaning upholstery. I am tending to detach the beater head just to ensure I didn't accidently place the switch to beater on.When detaching the handle (and not using the extension) I found this awkward especially when cleaning the stairs. The dust cup is extra nice as I can empty it from the bottom and top to make removal of the dirt more complete after I am done.I have one new area rug that I could not use the vacuum cleaner on. It was a shock. The beater would stick and the vacuum cleaner would not move. I worried about creating a rut in the rug. I tried it without the beater and it still would stick. I even tried lowering the suction. Strange.The vacuum cleaner did work well on bare floors for me. Areas I had used a broom in the past can now be done with the cleaner.I did want to purchase additional attachments for this cleaner (as shown in the manual) but they did not appear to be available for this model. This is disappointing as I wanted to get the car detail kit and appliance wand.I am satisfied with this product but will need to purchase an additional product for a couple of tasks. I was thinking I would be needing to do this anyway.

Some poor design choices, returned it and got a different brand - Power cord coils between wand and base, so you can't pull the wand out without uncoiling the entire cord. Very inconvenient if you just have a quick job not far from the power outlet. - The lower tube at roller brush section fell off in the first 20 minutes of use. Having to constantly reattach that during normal us for the lifetime of the vacuum would have been super annoying. - Most separations require both hands and are awkward. Ideally the button to separate would be accessible from the handle or by a foot switch (the canister unit handle, the wand handle, etc). When using it on carpet, you're supposed to open the bypass valve to lower the suction. That does work, but it's annoying to use and often wouldn't be necessary if the base just had a little more clearance over the rug. - The suction bypass is a ring on the wand you have to rotate and is awkward and inconvenient. Other than the hose falling off, all the functions of the vacuum work, they're just not very well thought out. We ended up returning it and getting a Bissell 2998. It's the same general design with lift-off, removable wand, HEPA filtration, similar attachments, etc... but made much smarter. The brush roller has more clearance at the floor, the suction valve is a simple slider accessible by your thumb right on the handle, the cord wraps only around the canister and not the wand, and the detachment buttons are bigger and easy to use. The power and brush roller buttons are still not convenient to reach, but that's a consequence of the removable wand design. It's equal or better than the Shark in every way (it also has LED lights at the roller). We waited for it to go on sale (discounts of 20% or more happen all the time) and got it for only $10 more than what we paid for the Shark.

Won’t Pick Up Yet Ate the Cord

I bought this 9 months ago, in March 2024, it’s my 4th shark. The first 2 worked great, the least expensive is still used on the upstairs carpet sometimes. When the 2nd died I bought a Shark® Rotator® Pet Upright Vacuum with PowerFins® HairPro™ and Odor Neutralizer Technology. It was completely useless and left a 4” trail of dirt around the parameter of my area rugs. It was gut wrenching to push. I returned it after 2 uses. I then bought the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Upright Vacuum (the one I’m reviewing). It wasn’t much better to use, extremely hard to push, didn’t pick up on the first 3 or 4 go overs, and still left some dirt around the area rugs. I bought because it had a relatively low number of one star reviews (4.6 avg). After getting this I can't believe anyone rated it over two stars. Cheap brittle plastic, no soft edge bumper, a cord that is at least 5 ft too short, a stiff, brittle thinly insulated cord that as others have noted is likely to shred if you run over it (and you will), And the worst of all you can barely move it EVEN on the lowest suction setting. I struggled and my with refuses to use it. Good suction is a plus IF you can vacuum with it. I do not have shag or high pile carpeting . I have quality 2 yr old med pile carpeting. The rear wheels are so low (need to be at least 1/2 in bigger in diameter) that the whole lower body drags when trying to move it.... even when shut off. I normally don’t get too excited about vacuum cleaners, but this one beats the socks off any machine I’ve ever owned and over 50 years I’ve bought a lot of vacuums.The suction on this thing is incredible. I have a hairy dog who sheds heavily this time of year even with daily brushing. It made short work of the hair on top, but probably pulled up 2 years worth of dirt from beneath the carpet to the floor. I wish the canister was bigger, we had to empty it 4 times in a 15 x 15 room that actually had regular vacuuming until it died.Another thing on the wish list - something that would cut the hair from the roller.
