Sharpie Extreme Fine Permanent Marker Black 2 Pack

Over the years, we have bought many Sharpie "permanent" markers which were not really permanent. A recent incident proves this point: We used a blue Sharpie marker to write the expiration date on the outside of a cheese package. Later, after moving the cheese to a plastic bag, we discovered that our Swiss cheese was now "blue" cheese: Somehow the blue ink had transferred when the original package was opened.In late December, we bought a 4-pack of black Sharpie Extreme Permanent Markers which, astonishingly, are indeed permanent. They write even on damp plastic. No bleedng, no fading! Next trip to Office Max will be to buy the 4-pack of colored Extreme Markers.

I bought these to mark boards for cutting on a miter saw. I use a speed square and a tape measure together to get a really accurate measurement and then draw a line along the speed square with these markers. I then cut off the line and I have a very accurate cut. Normal sharpies can sometimes bleed, pencils break, and pens get clogged or covered with oils from the wood. These have sharp tips and I haven't experienced issues with bleeding or the tip getting smooshed down yet. I would definitely recommend for marking boards. One note is that they do not mark as heavily or as darkly as regular sharpies, which is likely why they don't bleed.

These markers are just what we needed to write on surfaces that you usually can't. They write on plastic and metal just as advertised. They also write on other surfaces but we haven't tried them all yet. Our property manager was glad to get them. The other great feature is that they are fade resistant. There hasn't been enough time elapsed to see if that is true but we trust the brand and believe their claims.
