As my diesel rodeo has 480,000 kms on the clock I was looking for a better oil. This shell helix is fantastic. The rodeo takes 10 kms of highway driving instead of 4 kms to reach full operating temp and oil pressure is a lot higher even at idle. There is less engine operating noise and no smoke as well. My rodeo cops a lot abuse as it runs on 50% diesel and 50% filtered used cooking oil. I do run a nulon friction mod in my oil as well, but I have with all oils I have used over the years. Next oil change this helix will be going in my old acco truck as well! I have used many expensive mineral oils over the years and this shell helix outperforms everything including, bp coarse+, penzoil, penrite, omega oils and leaves valvoline for dead! Oil for $19 funny thing is I can remember a few years ago you could buy 5lt for $14 and good oil was $20….! Do you think the oil companies are manipulating the Australian public….? No they would not do that as petrol reaches $2 a liter my next car must be a Tesler no oil no Petrol no worries…..!

Great product, works well and well worth the money
I bought this oil along with an oil filter and was delighted to see under the cap, there was a aluminium seal - indicating this container of oil was not tampered with. When I removed the seal, the oil was smooth and glossy looking and had a slippery feel to it. The smell was not unpleasant either and invoked a sense of newness. The container had a double handle for ease of pouring (not all oils manufacturers provide this) and I am sure, the engine loves the new oil and purrs away like a satisfied cat.
I have used alot of different brands of oil but never felt like using shell oil. Decided to give this oil a try and am glad I did no oil out of the multiple brands i've used has made my ecotec v6 engine feel as smooth as this oil does.
