When I bought my Cervélo RS at the very end of 2010 it came with an 11-25 rear cluster. One ride up Cypress Bowl was enough to convince me I needed a 28 for climbing (very heavy rider!). So I put one of these on when the bike was virtually new.It was just changed last week at 14,000 km. It lasted through 3 chains and when the fourth chain was installed, it was skipping on a few of the cogs. The previous chains had been changed at the 0.75 wear level. However, the chains typically got filthy due to the inevitable downpours on longer rides, such as the 290 km Jasper-Banff two day ride in the cool rain I did at the end of last summer with my son.So overall I am quite satisfied. The price isn't too bad either. The freehub is a Fulcrum Racing 1, in case it matters.

Great value for a cassette for a DH bike. Not too heavy and the cost is on point. I have two DH bikes right now and had three up until the local bike park closed for the winter and run these cassettes on all the wheels I have for each bike. and I do a lot of laps on each bike every year. They last forever, even in the muddy or sandy conditions. Worth the money over the lower cost models and perform in that respect great compared to the higher cost models. Perfect cost/performance compromise for DH/park riders.

This is a great cassette for the non road racer. Living in the Northwest, I see a lot of hills. Being an old guy that could loose a few pounds (190), this cassette combined with a 50/34 compact crank is the best. I use it with Dura Ace 7900 series derailleurs on a light weight steel road bike (about 20 lbs with pedals). Shimano says the rear derailleur can accommodate a 33 tooth difference. With this cassette and a compact crank, there is a 34 tooth difference. The system shifts great. However, I do not cross the 30 tooth rear cog with the 50 tooth crankset cog. Ultegra is basically my favorite in the Shimano group set lineup it basically checks all the boxes, quality, durability and affordability. Also, I agree with the previous reviewer George Gilliland. I am a heavier rider, as 160 is basically a fly weight. I typically power up to 300w plus on Florida climbs and run chains easily to 2000 miles plus before changing them on these cassettes. Now, I always quickly lube and clean my chains before rides with Pro Link Gold ( I have 4 road runners in my fleet), and I always shift without grinding, as well as avoiding most cross chaining like COVID 19. With that said I am getting every bit of 7000 miles on these cassettes. I upgraded to this from my 105 cassette (and entire group set), which was a little worn out. Although I have not compared both models, side by side (as new) functionality wise, the Ultegra range seems to be a lot more smooth transitionally; I find I can float through the full range of gears in a more controlled and even manner. The cassette itself is very nicely built and lightweight. I have had no issues with inconsistencies in shifting or jumping.After fitting this set to my Cannondale Six, I ended up buying a second 6700 cassette to install on my Tacx Flux 2 - the tide feel is just the same as out in the road. Hello..! For 15 years I have been using Sram Rival and Red components on my bikes, and never regretted my choices, always satisfied. But someone once told me to try a Shimano cassette. Good idea..? The difference between the Sram 1090 11-28 tooth cassette and the Shmano ultegra 11-28 tooth.? The Ultegra is quieter and the chain upshift on the sprockets is smoother and more precise too. I'm not going any faster, it's just smoother. Have a good day.!
Nothing more to say. I’ve been using the Shimano 10-speed cassettes and chains for 15 years they never let me down. Assuming your’re a rider of average weight (~160lbs) and power (275W on hard climbs) and you pair it with the HG chain and change the chain every 1500 miles you can get 6000-9000 miles from this cassette.
