Shimano IC100 Indoor Cycling/Spin Shoes Black EU 47
Indoor training is highly effective at building your fitness. But even if you're wearing a superlight mesh base layer, highly breathable cycling shorts and with the fan on full-blast, you'll still build up a healthy sweat. And your feet don't miss out on the fun either, which is where the highly ventilated IC1 Indoor Cycling shoes come into their own. In order to deal with moisture quickly and effectively and keep your feet feeling cooler, the IC1s have a highly breathable sock-like mesh upper. Even during the toughest of interval sessions this allows your feet to breathe and keeps cool, fresh air circulating. The fixture system is kept lightweight and simple too. A single cross strap gives a secure and easy to adjust fit and makes it super-easy to get in and out of your shoes before and after your training sessions. Versatility is also excellent thanks to the sole unit. This is compatible with both 2-bolt and 3-bolt cleats and pedal systems. So whether your spin bike or home trainer bike uses double-sided MTB style pedals or single-sided you can clip in and get pedalling. The lightweight sole, a glass fibre reinforced nylon unit, also offers excellent pedalling efficiency and foot support while also keeping the price of the shoes affordable.

The shoes are a good alternative to using my expensive outdoor shoes. They are a bit loser than road shoes, with the velcro strap and mesh upper, but they were cool and comfortable. Whilst they are compatible with SPD, note that they need an adaptor (sold separately) to build up the sole so you can walk without the cleats scraping the floor (they always do a bit anyway), otherwise the adaptor is probably not essential if you just leave the shoes with the trainer.

Use them for indoor cycling had to buy the cleats separate , However very comfortable easy to take on and off. I bought half a size bigger than my normal size after speaking to and being given advice from a number of people. I do think they have made my usual spin classes a lot easier to manage, more enjoyable and safer.

So glad went with the size up which was advised to do by local bike store. They fit well and as are Velcro are easy to adjust. I have a narrow foot and are fitting well. The cleats attached easily and have adjusted as needed. Certainly make a difference to my work out.

Really disappointed with these Shimano shoes. Bought these for my spin bike and to replace other Shimano shoes that fitted one foot well and not quite the other so thought I'd try these indoor cycling shoes instead of new road shoes. I really wanted the IC5 but sadly they only come in SPD, not SPD-SL.The IC1 are light but offer practically no support. The insoles are incredibly poor quality. They're very thin, flat, flimsy and with no arch support. The closing system consists of a wide strap that leaves the top part of the foot quite loose. I prefer BOA dials by far.The shoes design resembles diving shoes, they have elastic around the ankle that can dig into the skin. I'm also experiencing hotspots in several places that I didn't have with my other road ... MoreReally disappointed with these Shimano shoes. I'm also experiencing hotspots in several places that I didn't have with my other road shoes.I sized up meaning that they're quite large in one foot just so I wouldn't experience pressure on my big toe in my other foot.I needed to try them with cleats in for a proper fit assessment so sadly I can't return them. I've swapped out the insoles for my other smaller Shimanos as those are firmer and support the arch a lot better. I'm also trying different sock thicknesses to help with hotspots. All in all, I don't find this model suitable for indoor cycling. It's a real shame that other indoor cycling shoes don't come with a 5 bolt system allowing both SPD and SPD-SL cleats.
Bought these for my daughter as her first pair of spinning shoes. She likes them, but says they aren't as comfortable as other types of shoes. She says they fit well, work well on the bike, and are easy to slip on and off. Overall, she is happy with them but wishes they were a bit more comfortable (aka: cushiony).
The shoes are excellent value for money. Well made and snug fitting. They are not extremely adjustable but are good enough for all indoor cycling (Sprint, RPM, Spin). They fasten using a piece of fabric across your foot and I can see this wearing out over time. I've been using them for a month (4 to 6 classes a week) and the straps are holding up so far so I think they will last a year at least. The shoe is like a tight sock so if you have very broad feet they would be uncomfortable.Delivery was extremely fast (ordered one day and received the next) so I am very happy
After being run over twice on the Gold Coast, I decided that Spinning would be a better workout without the abuse - in more ways than one - and opted a few years ago for a half dozen GCN classes on a USB stick & a TV screen in my Garage.Had my first workout today with the new IC100. Best shoe ever!Buying online I wasn’t sure on size, so I opted to go with the EU44 size, which reads US9.7. Usually that means the shoe will be too small. So glad I went with this. Wearing thin socks, it’s a snug fit for max power transfer. Super comfy!
Purchased these as I was destroying my road shoes on the indoor trainer. Sized up due to other reviews and was glad I did. The shoe is superbly lightweight and breathable and I was pleasantly surprised by how stable the base/sole unit is. A great indoor shoe for the price point.
A light, good quality and comfortable shoe. Having read previous reviews I went for a shoe size a half size larger than I needed. Shoes come up tight but not uncomfortable, but does mean I have to pick thin socks, so perhaps a single size larger would have been more appropriate. There no floor protection when using SID cleats so I need to put them on in the cycle studio near the bike.
These shoes were sooooo small, I could barely squash one of my feet in but absolutely not snug - just way too small. There should be a note to say that you should go up one or two sizes. There are comments all over the internet saying that but I didn't read them until I'd already received mine. The returns process was quite old fashioned and onerous too - you need a printer or hand write a note copying all the details and stick in the box ?
