I have had this reel for almost a year and it hasn't let me down. I've used it for saltwater and freshwater fishing (estuaries, narrow rivers, dams, around the beach, rock etc). It's a great all rounder and it wont let you down.

Pretty nice reel. Line lay is good. Not as smooth as Daiwa Legalis (just to compare) but gets the job done. Reels in 1 lb fish without effort. Haven’t been challenged with a bigger fish yet but it looks like it won’t have problems handling up to 5 lbs fish. Spooled with 6 lbs Hi-seas Quattro. Used for light tackle saltwater fishing in Hawaii. I am happy with this reel so far.

I bought the 1000 size to pair with a 6' medium light rod and I love the combo. Nice and light, casts smoothly (using gliss line) and reels in very smoothly. No problems with the handle as one of the other reviewers noted. I have more expensive reels, but I often grab this one since it's nice and light. I'm usually fishing for walleye for reference.

Very nice and smooth reel. Looks like stradic ci4 lol, just bit heavier. Perfectly fine for someone starting adventure with fishing. Reverse is instant, spool is winded evenly. Used stroft and it is a great match. Can be menteined because it has oil injection points assuring it is not one season reel but can last years. Hard to find better in this price range.Highly recommended
This reel not only looks good, it is one of the smoothest action reels I own. Someone reported it was noisy, couldn't prove that by me, it is whisper quiet. Perfect for pan fish, trout, and hopefully steelhead.
Very compact and very rigid reel. It works quietly. The brake is very precise and powerful. Mono fishing line alignment is solid, but the spool in size 1000 is very shallow and holds maximum 130m of 0.16mm nylon which is not enough compared to the standard ( min 150m - 0.16mm ). The quality is much higher than the price and only SHIMANO can do that!

Good value for a budget reel. I especially like that this model has a 6.2:1 gear ratio. A little noisy and not as smooth as my more pricey Shimano. This is for a high speed model and I think that's why the gears are a bit noisey. I'd still buy it again. Drag seems quite smooth for a simple single felt/metal washer drag. Easy to service and appears to be pretty well thought and laid out. Gears appear to be zinc or aluminum with a brass pinion gear. Handle knob (the part that you hold in your fingers when cranking) gets a bit loose quickly.
What a great mid range reel.I have landed snapper, big tailor with this reel and also squid & whiting. Versitile and easy to maintain - thoroughly recommeded & great value for money.
the Lew's Light Speed 75 is entire leagues above this pile of junk. this Sienna is inferior in every single way imaginable. just watch youtube reviews if you have any doubts. The fanboys will hail these as the best, i doubt they've even used a quality spinner before.
