Turned out slightly narrower than my pads, but god damn it bites! Almost popped a front wheelie after forgetting to soften up the brakes a bit. With how cheap it is I see no problem using it with bigger pads since you can replace it easily and cheaply.

Disk rotor

The rotor itself is spot on and I’m really pleased with it. Biketart prices were good but unfortunately the delivery arrangements were very poor. What should have arrived in 2 - 3 days took more than a week to arrive.I must acknowledge Biketarts communication which was pretty good. Each time I chased up the delivery they advised me that they were having warehouse problems. Unfortunately delivery took far too long which meant missing out on group rides. Not too sure I’d use this comunect time as there are others I’ve used who are more reliable.

Good quality

I ordered the 180mm which I thought would clear my set up but they were too close to the frame inner chainstay on my Cannondale (which is an older non-disc frame) and I have a road style disc fork that seems it also would not take the 180mm disk due to the inner taper of the fork blades. I was very impressed by the quality of the rotors and felt they were built nicer than a SRAM disc I had on hand. I ended up returning these in the 180mm and ordering a set of 160mm same model number. Apparently, one of the nice things about these discs is they are compatible with both metallic and organic type pads. For now, I'm sticking with the organic since my calipers came with them.

Great price for this budget-but-good-quality Shimano rotor. I'd already got one locally for nearly double the price. Now I can continue using semi-metallic pads without wearing the rotors wafer-thin like I did with the old ones before realising they were for resin pads only!

Looking good

I am running 180F/160R disk rotors currently. This one will replace the front rotor, and I'll install the old 180mm rotor in the rear. Again, great service provided by XXCycle.

Much better than O.E.

My Giant came with one piece 6-bolt rotors. When I decided to upgrade the wheels I found that all of the better wheels for gravel/adventure bikes like mine came with center lock rotor hubs. I could have bought a center lock to 6-bolt adapter but as the original rotors had 7000 miles on them I decided to replace them with these. Mounting these rotors is one of the easiest repairs you will ever do. The stopping power of these rotors is strong. I was constantly battling a brake squeak with the O.E. rotors but these are quiet. Very happy with the change.

New for Old Rotor

Replaced an older RT62 rotor with this one. Centre lock type is quick and easy to replace although I did need to buy the right tool to do it. Swapped them over in a few minutes without issue. The pack did include a new lock ring but it was of a different type to the original so I didn't use it as it required a different tool to fit. I'm only a casual cyclist so it will never really get worked hard, but fitted with new semi metallic pads its performing very well.

Perfect fit

I installed this 203 mm rotor as an upgrade for my front brakes. I replaced a 180 mm rotor and noticed an immediate improvement in stopping power. Installation was straight forward. I purchased the correct socket to remove/install the Centerlock nut from Cambria too!
