Shimano XTR 12 Speed Cassette, 10-51T CS-M9101
The Shimano XTR CS-M9101 cassettes are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding mountain bikers. Thanks to an inventive construction with a 'Beam Spider', as Shimano calls it, this cassette has optimal strength, paired with significant weight savings. The spider and three largest sprockets are made of aluminium, sprockets 5-9 are made of titanium and sprockets 1-4 are made of steel. In this way Shimano has found the optimal weight/strength ratio. The cassette also features Shimano's Hyperglide+ technology, which ensures fast, smooth and precise gear shifts and the drivetrain does exactly what you want it to do.

Shifting with this cassette is flawless and crisp. Just swapped over from eagle x01 to xtr 12 spd, and the shifting with the shimano set-up is perfect. X01 Eagle was good, but really really needed to be tuned often, whereas the shimano xtr setup is solid and tolerates being a little out of tune way better. Highly recommend!

Classic Shimano quality, upgraded from an XT cassette , same gear ratio but almost 25% lighter.

Bought this and used for a month or so now. Nice bit of kit. But the black does wear off quickly.

I'm a SRAM junkie and must admit that I do really dig the Micro Spline. Seems a lot more simple than XD Drivers... Love the conventional lockring. Perhaps less prone to creaking down the road? And went with this 10-45T so that I could use the medium cage XTR derailleur. Runs very smooth and using XTR 12 speed chain.
As we have come to expect from everything XTR this cassette is lightweight and super smooth shifting when combined with a Shimano 12 speed chain. I ran a Sram chain for one race and would not recommend it but the cassette is flawless with Shimano chains.
Love Shimano shift and gear ramping, compared to others. Shifts great and performs flawlessly.
I have had all other iterations of XTR including DI2 for the past 12 years. Plus XX Eagle and XO1 Eagle. The shifting with the new XTR is SO much better.
I recently upgraded to Shimano's new XTR 9100 12 Speed Group. My new 2020 Specialized S-Works Epic EVO was the only Specialized Epic equipped with XTR at the time. I converted it back to a XC Ripper. The Shimano XTR 12 Speed Cassette is crazy. I thought, what am I going to do with all these gears? Not problem. I go through every single one, as I love climbing. The Bike came equipped with a RACEFACE NEXT SL 12 Speed Hyperglide+ specific Chainring in a 32t. The 32 spinning a bit much for me on the flats. It was initially very frustrating for me because I was use to a 34/10-42 setup on my other Epic. I recently mounted a Wolftooth 34t Chainring, but have taken it out for a legit ride, yet. I'm trusting the gear ratios will be more agreeable to my body and ride type. We ... MoreI recently upgraded to Shimano's new XTR 9100 12 Speed Group. The Group, and certainly the 12 Speed 11-51 Cassette is everything, and more I've grown to love about Shimano XTR. Enjoy
What can I say? It's a cassette & it works well. I should probably have gone 51t for my enduro bike but compensated by changing the chainring.
this is a replacement for the first one I had ben riding xtr since 1998 never broke one component in all that time with that being said I always used an xt cassette I finally switched to a 1x drive train this summer and with my groupo came an xtr cassette and after a few months a 1 inch chunk broke out of one of the titanium sprockets now I have to deal with warranty with Shimano in a time where there no parts available which is why the lower rating
