Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Mini Wireless Headphones Orange

I purchased these as an upgrade from the original aeropex. The sound stage has been widened, there is more bass and more depth to the sound. There was a significant amount of vibration you could feel with the aeropex, they have drastically reduced that with this model. These are a fantastic upgrade in my opinion, and have me wanting to wear the Shokz for everything.

A big step up

If you've used any of the Shokz before, you'll roughly what to expect. But... these will likely blow those expectations away. The OpenRun Pro 2 uses air conduction as well as their usual bone conduction meaning you actually get some base! There is no doubt these sound a lot better than previous models. I just let two cycling friends try them, and I think they went straight onto their Christmas lists!Having said that, when I'm cycling, I don't think I gain as much with the wind whistling past my ears so they can still be hard to hear over 20mph.Throw in longer battery life than previous models and then the clincher for me being they are USB Type C! No more packing a different charging cable for just for my Shockz!

All-round impressive!!!

I bought these to use on my bike while commuting, but find myself using them more than my other headphones and buds. The sound quality is far better than I was expecting. While it will never match audiophile offerings, it is still really impressive. Music is clear and transparent with a good level of bass. The beauty of these, however, is that I can hear ambient sound and can follow a conversation easily, even while riding. Calls are also clear, and the microphone filters out background noise, including a reasonable amount of wind when riding. It has basic controls, so you can pause a song, skip forward and adjust the volume, as well as answer and end calls. The Bluetooth range is great - it doesn't drop music even in a 3 level house. My other (middle of the road) headphones manage 2 floors and start to cut out. They are very comfortable and can be worn for much longer than over the ear types without compressing the ear or making it overheat. They fit under the helmet straps without getting in the way, and can be worn with glasses too. The USB-C port makes charging easy. The SHOKZ app also allows you to select or customize an equalizer setting.

Coming from a much older model

I am coming from the aftershoks aeropex, so I am a few generations behind. These new models are awesome. Sounds as good to me an Apple AirPods 2 (open ear design) and maybe slightly better. The reason I use these are the fact they stay solidly in my ears and situational awareness. Would have no issue with either this or the older models on a roller coaster, thats how well they hold on without you even knowing they are there. There is a con… and I am hesitant to even mention it as such but after some time with the headphones it still bugs me. I don’t like the low max volume level. Seems to be a problem when sounds are louder than the headphones can over come. Passing cars while walking the dog the cars tend to be too loud passing. All in all I am keeping them. I know what I got and what I am using them for. So as long as you understand your use case around these, you’ll love them.

This has me amazed. I've tried others. This Pro 2 is the way to go! With the Shokz App you have full control of the EQ! I love music and I love exercise with music but I hate feeling "closed in" with over the ears on. This is darn close to over the ear quality when you see what your own control of the EQ does for sound. But the kicker is you are still aware of every sound around you. I am amazed.

I bought this pair of headphones because my AirPods Pro kept falling out of my ears when running (especially when it is raining). I decided to buy these, so that I can also be more aware of my surroundings when running in the forest.I am super happy with these headphones. They are very stable on my head, and very comfortable to listen to music. It is nice that I really have open ear hearing. I can hear bikers approaching, and even the birds singing when listening to my podcasts.I think the sound quality is great. I only tried the version 1 at the airport, but I noticed that they vibrate a lot (because of the bass). The new version has a bass speaker, and I feel next to no vibration on my head. Very good.I like the orange colour.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Wireless Headphones Black

This is my third pair of shokz (previous Two working just fine but used in different circumstanes) and by far the best combining Bone conduction and "Air Conduction".I've also used regular "Air Conduction" earphones and, while the audio was slightly superior to Bone Conduction, they fell short in volume.The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 provide good volume with good low end and absolutely no irritating 'vibrating' on your cheekbones at higher volumes.A bit pricey, but not regretting the purchase at all. Used primarily for watching TV or listening to music.

I bought my openrun pro 2 minis about three weeks ago and I have absolutely loved them! They’re so comfortable and the sound is so much better than i imagined! Going on my outdoor runs with these makes me feek safe knowing I can hear whats happening while still enjoying my music or listening to podcasts during my runs. Super happy and I have recommended them to a lot of people so far!
