I needed a knife that could slice through the softest of bread. This knife is perfect for that purpose without being too large life most bread knifes are. Because of its shorter length it can be used for multiple solutions in the kitchen. I love it.

He prefers to use our Shun chef’s knife for almost everything, so the knife is definitely an individual taste. But I love it and use it constantly for cutting and serving

I bought this back in December and am very happy with it. It cuts my bagels really well and it feels great in my hand. Very light in my hand.

This is my second Shun knife purchase and I continue to be impressed. These knives stay super sharp - I've had my first for years and have never had to sharpen it. This is a great knife to add to your collection -- perfect for bread, avocados, etc. Highly recommend - worth the money for sure.
The knife is sharp and cuts without much power. One awesome thing about the knife is that it literally clangs like a real sword. Now I can do some real Fruit Ninja knivery :) The only thing that wasn't that pleased about was the smell of the wood when I took it out of the box. It's got a really woody smell to it. I guess that's good right?

Yes, it’s beautiful, but it also slices like a dream. The wavy blade just glides through tomatoes, peaches, and soft rolls. How did I manage without this? Bought a second one for a gift.
