The WiFi adaptor was detected correctly by my Laptop running Windows 10 and drivers were installed automatically. On my Windows 7 PC the driver was required from the supplied CD and installed correctly. The driver download link on the sellers page was the same as the driver on the supplied CD. The WiFi signal range and speed was very good - better than my Laptops built-in WiFi. The unit itself was well made and the antenna attached firmly. The reason I purchased this adaptor was to connect a PC to a WiFi modem two floors above, and for this it works exceptionally well.

This is a good product for a month or so. The Wi-Fi range is pretty good. The quality of the adapter itself is not. It won't drop out on you like most other cheap adapters. It will break after a month or so of general use. Overall, it's only a few dollars. Works well. Breaks easily. I've bought 2. Would recommend. 6/10 Average

The product started off great. Wi-Fi signal was full, consistent connection, and its speed was amazing. That was only for 3 weeks though. Nowadays, the product can't even stay connected for more than an hour. My full 5/5 bar signal is now down to 2/5 bars. Speed still stays quick but like mentioned earlier, connections no longer hold so it's still quite useless. Avoid this if aiming for long-term use.

I did not get this I got the 802.IIN usb2.0wireless dongle x2, 1 of which was broken in transit and the other works spasmodically over a short distance 0f 7 meters. Cost to return is not worth bothering about so I am looking for a more robust and versatile unit to do the job of hooking my second computer to my internet and also to bring my tv on line. Any suggestions
I now have a stable and strong WIFI network connection. Brilliant.The product is a perfect solution for my older Macpro laptop, running macOS Mojave 10.14.6.I have not upgraded it to Catalina as the Simplecon drivers supplied do not support OS versions later than Mojave.I am happy as is because I have Apps I like that are compatible with Mojave not Catalina. There maybe driver upgrades available, I haven't checked.Thank you PC Case Gear for your tech support.
This item has been working perfectly. Simply plugged into my Win 10 machine and it was ready to go. Update (19th January 2020): I have now migrated to Linux (Ubuntu MATE) and this dongle works perfectly there too. It requires a little bit of one time only scripting to get it recognised but even that was easy. Update (January 2021) This dongle now works straight away in Ubuntu just by plugging in.
10/10 It's THE perfect little device for plug n play WI-FI reception if your desktop PC, or other digital device is missing this important input in today's world. Works just as described, no install required for any windows or Linux platform just plug n play. And at the price with the antenna it gives you an excellent reception over ones without. (I have both and the antenna makes a difference). Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a quick fix to access a network of any kind.
I was very impressed on the performance of the USB WiFi adapter and ease of installation of the software. I have had no signal dropouts or problems with the software / device not being recognized in the computers boot up. I have had many problems with USB WiFi dongles in the past a couple of of them being Netgear. That is why I thought I would try something different and this device is well and truly much better than any WiFi dongle I have had in the past. I can't be beaten on performance or price. When I saw the device and software was associated with RealTek, I knew I was on a winner! Well done on Price, Performance and Value. I will purchase a couple more before they put the price up!!!!
I was initially concerned because the mini disk supplied for set-up would not engage in my older MacBook Pro optical drive, which only takes a standard size disk. However, when Simplecom staff provided an online link for the drivers, the product worked perfectly.
It did exactly what I wanted it for. My modem/router is at one end of the house and I have a desktop computer in the workshop at the other end of the house. The only way I could connect the computer to the Internet was via a 30 metre long Cat5 cable which was a real nuisance. This device enabled me to get rid of the cable. Works really well.
