One of the best decisions I have made in a while. After hearing all of the wonderful reviews of Sire guitars it was a no brainer to order from Music Store Live. Supposedly these guitars already come set up fairly well, but MSL's free setup process just added icing to the cake. Maybe they didn't need to do anything to it - or maybe it was already really good and they made it great. Either way I got a great playing guitar out of the box. One minor issue is the tremelo arm tends to loosen pretty fast after tightening. I will probably be changing the pickups. There is nothing wrong with these and I would have no problem gigging it as is - it's just it plays soooo good it really deserves the highest quality pickups.

I watched and ready every review I could before purchasing this guitar. Everyone focuses on the neck, and it's great. But it's a small part of what makes this guitar great. This is priced similar to some Squier guitars. But it really looks, feels and sounds like it should be around the $1k mark IMO.For build quality - the finish and woods used look amazing. The tuning machines are super smooth and precise. I have been looking for things that I would notice made this seem like a lower tier guitar but I'm not finding them.At first, actually, the finish on the back of the neck felt a little odd to me for a non-gloss finish... like slightly plasticy or something - but that quickly went away with playing. Some of the reviews have made it seem like these pickups might ... MoreI watched and ready every review I could before purchasing this guitar. But I was surprised upon playing them - they sound amazing and are worth keeping. The whole guitar came playing, sounding and looking amazing... couldn't be happier honestly.

Man, what a guitar. When people say this punches above its weight, they mean it. This easily feels and plays like a $1200+ guitar, except its $570 USD. Fantastic tone that is moderately warmer than a strat (less shrill) but the spank and shimmer are still there. The roasted maple feels incredible and the guitar is simply beautiful. If you’re considering getting this, stop considering and just do it.

Has many features normally associated with much more expensive models( roasted maple neck , quality bridge , good bone nut, effective locking tuners , Alnico V pickups that sound good )And comes well set- up
A beautiful guitar that makes you want to pick it up and play. The neck is very comfortable and the extra features like locking tuners and a rolled finger board are hard to find at this price point. I am a beginner and feel I made a great choice with this guitar.
After several months of research and trying to decide what my next guitar purchase would be, and reading and watching tons of reviews, I decided to purchase a Sire Larry Carlton S7 Vintage, which is the Strat style SSS version. Sire has 12 different series of basses, and guitars and within each series several models and level of them.If you decide you want one you will probably have to do as I did, and order it, to try it out, as pretty much all of the Sire lineup sells out as fast as they tend to get them in stock, no matter who the vender is.After now having a chance to play and evaluate for several weeks I have decided to give my S7 a 5-Star review which I'd honestly give a 4.9 if the option were available. I love everything about this guitar, but if I could change one thing perhaps it would be a lighter color fret marker inlay material on the front of the fretboard, however within two or three days it was really not an issue. Though the markers look much lighter in the photos I'm including with this review. The things that I love, are the nice grained Alder body, bone nut, heal joint taper, two point tremolo bridge, finely finished rolled (Edgeless is what Sire calls it) fret edges, 3-ply Tortoise pick guard, creamy smooth C profile neck, locking tuners, great sounding Sire LC Super V pickups, and best of all for me was the darker roasted hard maple neck with a dark roasted hard maple fretboard, where many I had seen were lighter in color, I tend to like the darker wood, and this is perfect in my book. The 3 tone sunburst I purchased is my favorite color, but if you're into a flame top maple finish they also offer several variations of that too, however I think they have yet to be added to Guitar Centers website. Also, a big deal for me was this guitar came set up perfect! Like I had spent an hour telling a luthier exactly my preferences and when I picked it up, it was wow! I did bring it home after it arrived at my local store, unboxed, and let it just get used to the humidity and environment in my house, for 24 long hours, which stays at 45% to 55% relative humidity and 72 to 76 degrees most all of the time. The next day I tuned and fell in love with the S7.I'm playing more now than normal and enjoy every minute of it.Watch the online videos, read the reviews and save several hundred dollars on an awesome playing guitar that plays as well, as the big boys do.
After playing acoustic while picking up guitar after a break of a couple of decades and getting an instructor, I was ready for my first electric guitar. I watched a LOT of YouTubers who review gear and saw demos of many brands. Sire kept catching my eye, but there were none anywhere in my giant state! I visited a number of music stores and tried out Fender, PRS, Schecter, Ibanez, even a Mitchell that surprised me, and some other brands. I would have been happy with several of them, but Sire seemed to have more features for less money. With Sweetwater having a great return policy, I went ahead and talked to my Sales Engineer (Henry Moore!) and ordered an S7V. It's hard to put down. That neck feels better than so many of the other necks I tried. Locking tuners, roasted maple neck, bone nut - I am very happy with the build quality and features. It showed up ready to go right out of the box! I did get a setup done to get properly intonated and check the neck relief, but you should do that with every new guitar!
