Sire Larry Carlton S7 FM Transparent Black 2020

The guitar gets 5 stars but arrived needing a full service. The nut needs profiling, the action altering (set like a cello) and the intonation was awful. String buzz was on E B and A stringsHaving paid £40 for a professional set up and got it back, I can’t put it down. I’ve guitars twice the price that don’t match the playability.Certainly superior to the Fender Player Strat. Great tone and sustain. Just a shame it was love at second not first sight.

For the money these Sire Larry Carlton guitars are unbeatable. I have guitars that were ten times the money and the Sire is finished better. The attention to detail is unprecedented and the playability fast, fluid and silky, the experience made even better by a rolled fingerboard the like of which I have never had the pleasure before. The whole guitar, including hardware is made at the Sire factory, pickups, trem, tuners etc and are of a spec that I would love to get my hands on when I self build another guitar...at these prices and quality should I even bother?Well done Sire....I hope you go far!
