Had great success with Beta Fuel. Never had stomach issues with the old formula, but must have caused enough that they lowered the fructose. Seems reasonable. But then they removed all the sodium! SiS was already half of Maurten's sodium. Cramped during my first race with the new formula likely because I didn't realize I needed to get my electrolytes elsewhere. It's not something you can't work with but I might just go back to Maurten.

SIS fuel is perfect for long rides. I can get 4 hrs of fuel into 2 litre bladder which is 4 sachets. No need for food. Tastes great, not to sweet or sickly and it doesn’t upset my stomach. It is a little difficult to mix but I find using warm water helps it dissolve. Great product

Strawberry and Lime flavour. I’ve not tested this in difficult conditions yet (by this I mean in a race on a hot day, which is when I’d know if I can tolerate in all conditions). But it has a pleasant sweet taste. Feels effective in use, no shortage of energy when I’ve run with it so far. Not the easiest product to mix? After a failed first attempt where it turned into big lumps when I just dumped it in water. I’ve since had more luck when pouring it into water slowly while stirring, then giving a good shake immediately afterwards. Though perhaps I’ve been using a less powder per portion carb/electrolyte product for so long, that I’ve forgotten that all carb powders need a bit more care in mixing.

Beta fuel is easy on the stomach, tastes good (not too sweet) and works really well. I have used it to fuel 5 hour rides and don’t feel hungry just using beta fuel. Never hit the wall either. Highly recommend beta fuel.
I think this is a bit of a revelation for me. it was recommended by Paul Cadman of elevate coaching. I am really noticing the difference in rides over 4 hrs. Gives you fuel and hydration -- have recommended it to my training buddies as well .
I used three packets of this over a 4hr ride for the first time on the weekend - never used it before, having typically used the go electrolyte mix topped up with some bars and a get ever hour. In using the BETA it very quickly dawned on me that perhaps I have NEVER fueled properly on the bike.!!! I had perhaps the BEST day I've ever had. Plenty of power over my 110k ride and felt like I could have ridden more, basically having one bottle an hour. Added an electrolyte tab per bottle.
Bought sachet to try and didn't really hit the spot. Like lots of SiS stuff i found both flavours too sweet - sweet lingering after-taste that didn't really work for me. Didn't mind the chalky taste but too sweet. Energy wise i'm sure it was fine
Best energy drink I’ve used by far. Not too sweet/sickly tasting, especially after a few hours of using. Never felt like close to bonking when on upto four hours rides only using Beta fuel and no dodgy stomach. Needs a bit more of a shake up in your bottle as turns a bit pasty as opposed to a gritty powder but by the time I’m on the bike and down the road it’s perfect.
Beta fuel is about twice the carb content of other SIS powders I've tried. Great for long days in the saddle, however it caused me some minor gastric discomfort the first few times I tried it
I definitely recommend Beta Fuel to all, who have usually stomach issues. I belong to them and have absolutely no problems using it on my rides. It ist very hard to mix, but the effort pays off. Recently I did more than 100 km ride with one Beta Fuel bottle and three small gels from another manufacturer. Not enough I did not hit the wall, I felt really fit and could hold with the best guys in the pack. To sum it up, Beta Fuel gives more confidence. Additionally, I never forget to drink, but I sometimes forget to est on a bike. That’s why ist Beta Fuel my favourite energy source while in the saddle.
