I first used this over 10 years ago, and recall thinking it was 'ok but nothing great'. Was recently given a trial size when purchasing the 'Brightening Derm Revival' mask and figured I'd give it another go. FTC is a creamy foam cleanser which doesn't strip the skin (I think the ingredients have changed since when I first used it) and lathers up nicely whilst removing light makeup quite effectively. A little goes a long way. However it does contain parabens and alcohol, whilst at the same time having good things in such as Pitera and Rosehip oil - although I'd imagine it's a very minute amount, otherwise this would not foam whatsoever! It's one of those products where you have to weigh up the pros against the cons. Personally I don't find it does much for my skin ... MoreI first used this over 10 years ago, and recall thinking it was 'ok but nothing great'. This Japanese skin care line was developed from the observation some scientists made during their tour at a sake distillery in japan. The scientist notice that the workers had very useful looking hands although they had wrinkles on their faces. They determined it was something in the sake that the workers hands came in contact with on a daily basis. Now I have used another very high-end Japanese skin care line for a few years and was completely in love with it. This line is also incredible as it is similarly gentle and extremely effective. I noticed that upon using it my skin tone changed almost immediately and was a balanced even tone with a natural flesh on my cheeks. I noticed the similar result from the other high-end brand I used to use which is why I love japanese skin care so much. The moisturizer was so silky and my skin felt incredibly smooth. The essence and toner don't have much of a scent but they are so effective and light. The face wash has a nice gentle scent and does a great job of lifting dirt and makeup. Another factor I would like to point out is that this skin care is available in many stores and it's easily accessible from Costco as well. That's something really important to keep in mind because some of these imported brands are hard to get a hold of and this one is an exception. I can't speak highly enough about this brand and although the price point is much higher than I like to spend, I we'll definitely be purchasing this brand and the future.

First of all I tried this as a 4 part skin care system so it’s hard for me to review each item individually. The 4 items I tried out were - SK-II Facial Treatment Cleanser, SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion/Toner, SK-II Facial Treatment Pitera Essence, SK-II Skin Power Airy Milky Lotion. So you’re going to get 4 reviews for the price of 1, ha! SK-II Facial Treatment Cleanser - I normally don’t like cream cleaners because I feel like they don’t clean off my makeup completely and they usually leave behind an oily residue. This cleaner however left my face very clean, not dry and not oily. It was really the perfect combo. And I like the scent. I will definitely purchase! SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion/Toner - I don’t typically use a toner so I could go without this product in my life. I’ve been using it but I don’t really notice that it’s doing much for me. I won’t purchase separately. SK-II Facial Treatment Pitera Essence - this goes on like water, not like a serum. It absorbs quickly and fully. I love the way my skin looks and feels using this line and according to the literature that came with the product the Pitera evens your skin tone and smoothness so I’ll give credit to this product for it. SK-II Skin Power Airy Milky Lotion - this is my absolute favorite out of the 4 piece skin care system I tried! It give my skin the silkiest feeling! It smells wonderful and is not oily, it’s perfect as an evening lotion or to use under my makeup. This will need to be a staple in my daily routine. I’m so thankful I was able to try it out! I know these products are expensive but they’re worth the money!

I owned this product for three months (on top of samples of it, which I received from the website with my purchase). The cleanser has a light floral scent and the packaging looks minimalistic and luxurious. The cleanser did a good job cleaning off my makeup and did not completely strip my skin. It did nothing for my hyperpigmentation and I didn't notice a visible change in the quality of my skin. However, I have other cleansers at cheaper price points that do the same, if not better. If you have the budget for a $75 cleanser or are seeking a luxury item, then it is nice. However, I would not recommend this if you are looking for an effective cleanser or a budget-friendly cleanser. At this price point, I'd rather pay for medical-grade skincare.
I’ve been using SK-II products for about 3 years. I use this cleanser daily along with the Facial Treatment Clear Lotion, the Essence, the Airy Milky Lotion moisturizer. This cleanser becomes very foamy upon rubbing on skin so you really do not need to use much per washing. IT IS SCENTED. I love the fragrance to it. But if you’re not a fan of scented skincare then this product is not for you. After washing, my face always feels clean and smooth never overly dry. This product as well as the rest of the line is a bit pricey but if you purchase the items directly from their website you get free gifts which I think is awesome.
I received a set of items from Influenster. While I liked using them, I will not be repurchasing. My face wants more moisturizing cleanser and cream and I prefer a lighter texture in facial moisturizer. Maybe I'm just too basic? My favorite facial cleansers are cream to foam and my preferred moisturizers are gel cream. SK-II Facial Treatment Cleanser-- Creamy, works into a nice foam. Smells like something old fashioned and floral- I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it reminds me of. Too drying for my dry skin however I also didn't have any breakouts while using it. Completely removed any facial makeup I was wearing so that's a plus. Maybe if I double cleansed it would have been okay? Completely removed any facial makeup I was wearing so that's a plus. Maybe if I double cleansed it would have been okay? SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (Toner) --This is a chemical exfoliant. I didn't feel any tingle as I do from stronger like the Alpha 14% glycolic. When wiped on using a microfiber reusable round, it felt nice. Didn't notice any odor. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence--Super runny and only requires a few drops. I didn't feel like it added any real moisture, especially after the very drying facial cleanser. I've read that this is something that requires many months to see results, but I didn't stick with it for that long. SK-II SKIN POWER MILKY LOTION--Floral scented. Thick and creamy but left my face slightly sticky/tacky. I wanted more moisture for my skin and would have preferred a lighter feeling. A little goes a long way, however, so I only used a bit more than a pea sized amount for my face.
This review is for SK-II Facial Treatment Cleanser which was tested as part of a regimen sent complimentary from Influenster and SK-II for testing purposes. Because it’s difficult to distinguish the effects of the individual products used as part of the regimen, I’ll include an overall review for the regimen, and a review about specifics of the individual product in each product review. The regimen included: Facial Treatment Cleanser, Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner, Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence), and SKINPOWER Cream, applied in that order. The regimen included: Facial Treatment Cleanser, Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner, Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence), and SKINPOWER Cream, applied in that order. Facial Treatment Cleanser: 4/5 My impression of the Facial Treatment Cleanser is that it was gentle but fragrant. It was not drying and is a very soft creamy frothing formula, but I did notice the scent quite strongly. This did not bother me, nor my skin, but people who are very scent sensitive should be aware of this. I don’t find it lingers after washing off, as some cleanser scents do. For a 5 star rating, this cleanser would need to provide slightly more exfoliation for me, though I can acknowledge that that may risk it becoming drying, but what can I say, I know what I want. I would recommend this to those looking for a very gentle frothing cleanser who do not mind scent, and do not mind using an additional exfoliant a few times per week. Overall: 4/5 Overall, I thought this regimen was very good. The most important points that I noticed is that it was sensitive skin friendly, mildly brightening, and very softening and smoothing. I did notice a reduction in fine lines related to dryness, and I did not feel dry (which I usually do) when using this regimen. I am absolutely certain this regimen was softening immediately just by the feel of my usually rough hands after application each night. I would give the regimen 5 stars if I had not still needed additional exfoliation a few days a week, and if it had been more brightening over the period of time that I’ve used it (several weeks). Nonetheless, I would recommend this to individuals with sensitive skin looking to improve dullness and dryness related fine lines. I would also recommend this to those looking for a regimen that will slowly brighten without drying out their skin.
Suitability:goodFormulation:goodPerformance:vThis cleanser is amazing, a little bit goes a long way. My skin stays hydrated and feels so clean. This is my holy grail cleanser and worth every penny. I use this twice a day and it makes my skin feels clean without the tightness feeling. Really nice feel on the face. Cleans my skin to the point where all of my makeup is gone It's not overly stripping on the skins and the smell isn't too strong either.
SK II I damaged my clear, smooth skin last year by roasting my face with an oily serum and falling asleep in the summer sun without sunblock. The texture of my skin became uneven, my pores stretched, my skin tone less firm and ended up with fine lines. Even after the damage, I wasn’t exfoliating and toning for the past year. My combination skin after one use feels like velvet. I washed my face with the SK-II facial treatment cleanser followed by an at home microdermabrasion device. I used Noxzema as a cool and calming mask for about 15 minutes, then opened up my pores with a quick facial steam immediately after washing the mask off. This was only after one use. The facial cleanser alone felt smooth and silky when being applied. It also did not dry out my face. I do recommend you find an exfoliation regimen that work for you while using these products. The yeast (Pitera) is exclusive SK-II bio-ingredient that is rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids that enhance the skin’s natural rejuvenation process and you want this to penetrate into your skin for maximum benefits.
I want to start off by saying that I'm not new to SK-II products. My entire skincare routine is pretty much all SK-II products from their facial oil, essences, toner, eye creams, moisturizers, etc. The only thing I was missing from their products was their cleanser. The consistency of this cleanser is mousse-like and it foams up fairly well (but it doesn't foam up as well as my Shiseido perfect whip cleanser). I was excited to try this cleanser, but this product actually fell a little flat for me. The first thing that threw me off about this was the smell. I was excited to try this cleanser, but this product actually fell a little flat for me. The first thing that threw me off about this was the smell. It has that really strong artificial floral scent that some luxury skincare brands have, and I'm not a fan of it. Usually when I use a new skincare line I always go through that period where my skin is sort of "shocked" from the use of new products that it gets worse before it gets better. Luckily, with SK-II products, that never happened even when I first started using them, but this cleanser was actually the first ever product from this brand that immediately irritated my skin. My skin feels itchy and red splotches show up after using this. I really believe the strong fragrance is the main contributor to this. Also, it's not good to use after a cleansing oil. I notice that I have to use a fair amount of product after using a cleansing oil because it will not foam and suds up and does not remove the cleansing oil fully. I hate having to use extra product because this is really expensive and I expected better performance from this. With my Shiseido cleanser I only need to use a dime size amount and it's enough to cleanse my face and neck. Overall, this product is alright but it's definitely not worth the price. I'm just using it because I paid a hefty price for it, and I don't want to waste it. However, I don't think this cleanser is a must-have and I wouldn't repurchase this, either.
