This sun serum leaves you with a dewy/moist finish on the skin, so if you prefer a matte finish this may not be for you. I absolutely love SKIN1004s Hyalu-Cica line because of the Hyalu-Cica formula, which uses a unique combination of Centella Asiatica Extract and Hyaluronic Acids that leaves the skin feeling hydrated throughout the day and soothes dry irritated skin. It works well with other other products/makeup, have seen no piling. I would recommend for all skin types. If you have oily skin, I would use this in place of your moisture. I’d never heard of SKIN1004 before so I was very excited to get a set of their products, including this sunscreen, from Influenster and SKIN1004 to test and in exchange for my honest review!! This sunscreen has a great texture and melts right into your skin. It’s also kind of flesh toned a little bit so it kind of blurs your pores a little bit as well making it great for no make up days. It’s very light and doesn’t really have a scent and I’ve loved using it every day. It doesn’t make your skin oily or leave a cast and I love that Centella is in it! The only negative thing I have to say is I do not like the container which is kind of like a bottle. You unscrew the cap and then shake it out or squeeze it out making it hard to not waste product. I was looking to find a new spf for warmer weather that was more lightweight than what I had been using during Fall and Winter. This is definitely a great option for someone with oily skin, or who just doesn't want the feeling of an occlusive spf. It's so lightweight, blends in quickly, works well over all the moisturizers i have used it with, and very well over makeup. It doesn't make any claims about being water or sweat resistant, but I'm a landscaper and it holds up decently well through my workday; and i sweat a good bit. It has a slight tint. It is very light, but if you are very fair like me, and have trouble finding tinted spf, you may also like this. It has a scent that i don't love, but it dissipates quickly enough that it doesnt bother me. I've been scared of trying this sunscreen because I believe I have sensitivity to centella as some products that contained a high centella concentration burned my skin before, but it's hard to find good and affordable mineral sunscreens so I gave this one a try. I'm so happy I did! No burning, stinging (even around the eyes), the texture is nice and gives your skin a bright radiant look. It smoothes pores and dries soft and velvety better than a makeup primer. Feels light, not drying, doesn't leave you look oily. When you squeeze the sunscreen out of the tube it has a slight beige tint, but when you apply it on skin it does become whiter. That alone makes it very difficult to blend into fair skin. The plus is you can see areas you’ve missed, but it tends to pill when layered with foundations and powdery products. As someone who 1. suffers from sensitivity with rosacea/acne skin and 2. is a fan of skin1004 products I figured this centella based sunscreen would be a perfect fit however I must admit I feel pretty meh with this product. I will say, the application is easy. the texture is great (it lives up to the 'air-fit' name), it does not feel greasy and is lightweight making layering and reapplication a breeze. Apart from that, I feel everything else is a letdown. the slight tint of the sunscreen leaves my skin looking very ashy (I have very, very pale skin) and the tint looks awkward on top of the redness/rosacea.
