Bought this golf trainer on the advice of a couple of friends who both use this trainer. I’ve not been disappointed. I use it daily for 5-10 minutes on the days I don’t go to the course and I’ll swing it before a round just to get the “rust” loose. Friends who have tried it have ordered their own so I take that as confirmation that this is a special trainer.

The grip on this thing fits on a very skinny rod...not a standard size shaft end. I reached out to SKLZ about a replacement (logical, right) and they told me they don’t sell that, i.e., sorry customer. Your $79 purchase is useless. When I asked them why they started waving their warranty at me (available on line) as a rationale saying I damaged the device. Super poor customer service. Any company with so little regard for their constituents will not be rewarded with my dollars. Just be aware-when the grip is dangerously slick you cannot replace it.

Great training aid, you can definitely feel the lag it creates to achieve consistent tempo in your swing. Nicely weighted to build strength to gain extra metres without extra effort. Great for warm ups on comp days or practice at the range.

Great training aid, you can definitely feel the lag it creates to achieve consistent tempo in your swing. Nicely weighted to build strength to gain extra metres without extra effort. Great for warm ups on comp days or practice at the range.
Such a great, simple training aid! An excellent addition to your list of equipment, this one aimed at tempo, and swing path. You’ll only get out what yo put in, and you need to be able to swing at 70% your regular speed while you focus on feel. Once you get the right feel - that is you are on the swing plane and moving cleanly through the ball, then you can start to raise the tempo, and really get a strong feel for the right swing.Already had an impact on my consistency. I’m getting less mis-hits out on the course.
I play to a 0.5 USGA handicap. The "Orange-Wip" cannot be found, new, for less than $100. In my honest opinion, not just because this is 1/2 the price--The Skillz version is much better (both in construction and handling). My advice to any amateur player, or even casual player (we all want to shoot our best score when playing--no matter what level)---GET THIS ITEM!!. This is the best full-swing aide for the money---period. For me, I swing it for 10-15 minutes a day. -Take 10 full swing reps, keep your body balanced. I use this item to get my timing from the top of the back swing--allowing a slight "bump" with the hips to start the downswing, creating the lag and power needed. The SKLZ flex golf swing trainer was recommended to by a golf coach, I was sceptical at first thinking how could this thing help my swing but it really does. The way it makes you move using natural body dynamics of swinging changed the way I move throughout my swing.Due to the weight at the end it forces you to trsnsfer your weight naturally and move like you would when you throw a ball.My golf game has improved out of sight and because you can put it in your golf bag when you play with out breaking the rules, you can get it out at any stage and have a swing to remind yourself how you should move. But it's done in by one fatal flaw that ruins the entire thing. The grip that comes with it is hard, slick, small and will be useless inside a month. I got mine for Christmas and it's already trashed. The grip is so cheap that it turns rock hard after only moderate use. Once that happens the product can't be used as anything but a paperweight, if you can't hold onto it you can't swing it. The grip can't be changed out for a normal golf grip and can't be replaced with anything except the same make and model from the manufacturer. I also liked the grip on this one better because it feels more like my driver than the orange whip did.I started training with it right away. Stopped my golf entirely for about 10 days just whipping this around. When I went to the driving range after the ten days I was blown away. You don't notice how this works, until you see the end result. Not only did I swing the club faster, but hit straight with more consistency than before.
