Good Sound, Faulty Product

I started out happy with these, for earbuds with no noise cancelling the sound was pretty good (lots of bass), and the battery life was great. Used them several times at the gym and the left bud crackled a little on occasion (repairing did not solve) but wasn't enough to bother me. For the low price I paid I would have gladly kept them if it wasn't for how they performed today.I took them on a half hour walk around my area this morning and the left kept cutting out and crackled the whole time, also made a strange loud buzzing noise several times (like an amp turned up too high, or interference of some kind?) Unpaired and repaired on the walk, didn't help. Incredibly irritating.Took them back to the shop, was told that shouldn't be happening and the amazing staff ... MoreI started out happy with these, for earbuds with no noise cancelling the sound was pretty good (lots of bass), and the battery life was great. Should have stuck with what I know.

All in all they are a great earbud. The sound quality is fantastic, the control with the app is awesome. They are comfortable in the ear. The battery life is great. My only complaints are the case could be a little more magnetic so it doesnt fall open too easily. Also sometimes one earbud will just stop pairing with my device and i have to power the earbud off and then back on to get it to sync up to my device. It can be troublesome when they dont auto sync out of the case every time. Aside from those minor issues the earbuds are fantastic and given what i know if asked would i pay the same price and purchase them again? My answer would be yes. They are worth the money any i would definitely buy them again.

Great value, they just work with no headache

I have had a pair of these for several months and they've worked well enough that I bought this set for my wife to replace her earbuds that were...less than stellar (interestingly those were also SkullCandy but apparently a less good model). They charge quickly, the case holds ample backup charge, they stay put in my earholes and the controls are good. I haven't felt the need to install the app for any of the equalizer stuff; they sound fine out of the box. Pairing is easy and I have yet to have a single issue with one earbud failing to sync up with the other. If either of us lost these, I'd buy the same exact set again in a heartbeat.I did get a faulty set (one earbud dead and wouldn't charge) that I had to exchange but that was handled in about ten minutes and ... MoreI have had a pair of these for several months and they've worked well enough that I bought this set for my wife to replace her earbuds that were...less than stellar (interestingly those were also SkullCandy but apparently a less good model). They charge quickly, the case holds ample backup charge, they stay put in my earholes and the controls are good. These are the best ear buds I have ever put in my ears! I had a pair of AirPods before these grinds, made by scullcandy. The bass is solid, the mids and highs are crystal clear. I cant hear the greatest anymore since Im almost 50 years old but these are plenty loud even for me. You will not regret taking a chance on these earbuds. I dont leave reviews often but these needed a shout out from an old man that absolutely loves these! Cant speak for the others they may make or have but the grind series are top of the list for me! What a valentines gift from my wife! Great for any age. Easy to set up after downloading the app. And the voice control is impeccable. Just say, skull candySpotify and it opens Spotify up and automatically connects to your phone via the IQ app. ... MoreThese are the best ear buds I have ever put in my ears! My ideal general purpose earbuds.
23 December 2023

Fantastic feature set, very comfortable design, microphones pick my voice up clearer than any other earbuds I've had, even raw phones, so I now use it for every phonecall possible. Love that it is controllable via an app and the level of control is great. My suggested improvements:1. Bass not as banging as it was on my very old Skullcandy Sesh earbuds. It's hardly tinny but IMHO the old Sesh still rocks there and I miss it, hence only 4 stars. Time for Grind Crusher earbuds? (Technically nigh impossible, but I can wish)2. Would love there to be a published API or library for ideally the earbuds or otherwise the app so that users can for example write an extension to IFTTT to automate control of earbud features.

Not worth the money :(

I was given a credit from a warranty on my barely a year old sesh evos where the case stopped charging. The credit wasn't even enough to get something comparable to what I had originally and had to pay an extra almost $20 to get the Grinds. When I got them I noticed they felt really cheap and plastic along with how the case is not very stable. The lid is super loose and so are the spots for the headphones to sit so if the get bumped just right they're out of charge. They also easily fall out when the case opens. Not only that but the Bluetooth connection is constantly breaking in and out and is very crackly when my phone is just in my pocket or in my hand. I was really sad about the sesh evos being discontinued and mine no longer working because they worked so well. ... MoreI was given a credit from a warranty on my barely a year old sesh evos where the case stopped charging. The fact that the grinds were twice as much as what I paid for the evos and and not even half as good is very disappointing.

Will never buy Skullcandy ever again...

First off, when I ordered these specific headphones and they finally came in the mail it was the wrong one. It took almost a month for Skullcandy to fix it on their end and finally sent me the correct headphones. Then after two short days of using the headphones the left side stopped working. I did all the troubleshooting and nothing worked for me. I called the company for help but not much was provided. Instead they wanted for me to go through the same month long process I had to go through the first time.Once a loyal Skullcandy customer, now I will never purchase anything Skullcandy.

I'm not a music expert at all, and everyone has different tastes and hearing so if my settings are too loud, take the time to set up your own. battery life is sufficient to last around 8 hours with on and off use, with full volume, on and off use as in one hour I use them and one hour I don't, I haven't used the wireless charging yet. main reason for a 3 star is because, I'm not sure if my hearing is going bad or something but, inmost to any song, any words that have a S like consistency, every S to me sounds like a really high pitched S and it happens on all volumes on any eq mode, and I don't remember hearing it in the beginning but it just started to slowly get worse and worse, so now podcasts are kinda a pain to listen to and some songs. another reason is the charging cable is unreasonably short, expect to have a extra USB c laying around for charging via cable. another reason is that sometimes my right earbud doesn't charge I'm pretty sure because sometimes it just randomly cuts off but only when I have token it off, it weird and when. it happens, I can't turn it back on. final reason, I can't easily buy a case for the case since a drop from you pocket will send the earbuds flying. positives, magnetic, can withstand moderate volume levels with no audio distortions on a city bus filled with people, convenient shape, for the pockets,

not again the same problem

I have sent in a report to Skull Candy. I got these ear buds as a replacement for Indy Evo ear buds. The Grind sound like it had some interesting features.Unfortunately, the left ear never worked. I could not hear any sound from it. The light on it would have power( blue light) but as soon as I pulled it out of the case the light was a flashing red. The Indy Evo ear buds also had a similar problem where I could not hear any sound from the left ear bud.The right ear worked for both sets of ear buds but never did the left ear bud work. How was it that I got two different ear buds that did not work?
