Overall, the SLYR Pro headphones are amazing for gaming and streaming and I highly recommend them if you want a good headset without breaking the bank! Note: The blue tip mic should be on the inside when you want to use them for talking, didn't notice my son switched it around. Otherwise, the mic is detachable and can be used as headphones as well.

The Skullcandy Slyr Pro was better than expected. At first, I had low expectations since they were so lightweight and cheap feeling. However, they performed exceptionally well. I was most impressed with the removable microphone. I usually use a Yeti professional mic, and this mic had similar qualities. You can tell the difference, but they are far better than your standard built-in mics by a long shot. The ear covering was my least favorite part; the sound quality was good, but I wish the padding were more comfortable. The padding on these headphones is stiffer, which would last a long time, but I wear these for 8+ hours a day and have to take them off to get a break. The few onboard controls were practical and convenient; however, I wish it had a touch/swipe ... MoreThe Skullcandy Slyr Pro was better than expected. Observations: Good all around the ear headphones. I connect to mobile devices, tablets, laptops, desktops (iOS/Windows) using USB-A and C. With the foam earphones and soft top head padding, ears didn’t feel hot or fatigued after prolonged use. The included cable accessories are helpful for various device connections. For comparison I have a wired Sennheiser and bluetooth ANC Bose 35’s for comparision, which in all fairness are much more expensive counterparts. Removable mic extension both attached and detached are clear, decent background noise isolation (better with mic extension connected) but isn’t flexible to hold shape, just straight. The battery feature is just to enable the EQ settings on the headphones with various configurations (FPS, RPG, music, custom, default) and onboard volume control (L side). No issues with battery life as I’m consistently connected to USB-C and not 2.5mm where it cannot charge. The headphone swivel is nice, DJ-like experience if needed. The exposed wires that connect the LR sides at the swivel/headset extension point never snagged on anything. It seems like a cool feature to have it exposed but I would want all the cabling to be integrated or hidden within the frame. Perhaps this is cost savings as the headphone up/down adjust would add to the complexity of the design. Although the headphone is geared to gaming; wired gameplay is needed for low latency, etc., nowadays we’re so used to bluetooth everything. This sorta limits the versatility not necessarily while engaged in the activity, but getting up and walking around; stretching, snacks, bathroom breaks, is limited by the cord length where you may want to be always in the know of the activity. Bluetooth also adds to the cost as well. As far as noise isolation, it did a good job given that around the ear by nature typically cancels out some outside noise, you hear a little bit coming in. No active noise cancellation however. You can use it as regular headphones in ‘off’ position but won’t get the EQ settings, while cool to have I didn’t find a scenario where it just wowed me that it needed to be on to get the full experience. Cables: 1 USB-A to USB-C 1 3.5mm gold plated male-male audio jack Good cable length to connect to desktops that may be far away, squared off cable edges that differentiates them from other cables, but is sometimes annoying when those edges snags or drags along surfaces i.e.-shirt. It had a rubbery texture, slightly inflexible to straighten out. Cable ends could potentially break easily as there is no ‘spring’ to keep the wire straight and not bent. There is a little distortion from the 3.5mm jack with the headphones on, low white noise feedback, not noticeable when there is sound on. Conclusion: For the price and the accessories provided the wired headphones make a good all-around set that is versitle enough for all types of activities. Not completely sold on the EQ benefits, wheel volume adjust is cool to have, already have a keyboard toggle, not usable with 3.5mm connections. I would prefer to either have longer USB cables or opt for bluetooth version as I prefer a cleaner cordless look that offer that flexibility. Also cool to have the detachable mic extension.

These headphones did exceed my expectations as I was hoping! These were given to me complimentary from Influenster and Skullcandy for my honest opinion and review. The headphones themselves are very comfortable to wear, and they are surprisingly lightweight despite the larger drivers used as well as the built-in battery. The headphones also come with a detachable mic, charging cable, and a 3.5mm AUX cable. The headphones have a unique aesthetic that I think will appeal to some people, but not to all. The headphones have a translucent headband as well as a unique synthwave-style colorway that is pretty interesting, to me at least. The earcups and headband are comfortable on the head with very minimal weight and pressure, which is a good thing. There is also a side button switch to power on/off the headset, but it can be used with the power off if you choose at the cost of a significantly less detailed/lower volume sound. The app comes with multiple presets for the equalizer and optimized different games that I played. Overall, for the price you can't do much better. These are clear, crisp, nice bass and the mic is wonderful!!

I was pretty impressed with this headset. The setup was easy (initially connected it to galaxy phone for phone call testing, followed by laptop and Xbox). The audio was great in some ways but could make improvements in others for my personal use. It’s easy communication for both myself and those on the other end, but you cannot hear yourself talk unless the microphone is literally touching your mouth. To me, it’s a bit awkward talking on a headset not being able to hear myself to gauge my volume. I will say that these are comfortable for a long period of time, and I’d be interested in how the wireless version compares. Not going to lie, I’m pretty surprised. Skullcandy’s were known for being the cheaper alternative for earphones, so when I found out that they made gaming headsets I had low expectations. Well, I was surprised. I tried out all the functions of the Slyr Pros: I tried listening to music, watching videos, talking online with some friends on Discord, spoke in game, and of course, had to play games while using it. The quality of the headphones themselves feel standard to typical gaming headsets (which is good), they’re quite comfortable wearing all night when I was gaming, the sound is surprisingly good and I wouldn’t mind using them, but I would say the mic quality is pretty bad. If you want to just use it for gaming and hanging out with friends online, I think it might be a not bad option to go with.

Great color, very comfortable for long periods. Great sound quality for the price point. Not much to complain about but definitely some items tweaking would make this a great headset.Personal Cons:1. Just wish the mic boom was a bit more flexible and held position closer to mouth. Hard to pic up with others also gaming in the same room, with it so far away.2. Personally would rather have a mute switch or automatically mute when on. Always forget to mute when starting up. Just more of an annoyance to get used to. Still works just fine.Would definitely get again over a pair of Razer Krakens which was my previous setup... Had an old pair of White SLYR's before and they had much better quality for the price than the Razers. So figured I'd give the new ones a try. ... MoreGreat color, very comfortable for long periods. The extended microphone feature and ability to mute mic is about as good as it gets with this head set.Though the colors are fun, the head band lacks comfortable plush in the cushion. The settings are a bit confusing and are not explained in the user manual very well, as which setting would be best for which style of use.Next and most important is the sound quality. I noticed a glitch where if the product wasn't on, sometimes it would sound full and almost overwhelming! That's great right?Sure, when the thing is on, but if the product is turned on it suddenly goes really soft and quite quiet. Also, I'm a little sore that the original product I purchased for 320 dollars (Crusher AnC) had to be replaced with a "bait and switch" warranty honoring style.May this be ... MoreThe extended microphone feature and ability to mute mic is about as good as it gets with this head set.Though the colors are fun, the head band lacks comfortable plush in the cushion. The settings are a bit confusing and are not explained in the user manual very well, as which setting would be best for which style of use.Next and most important is the sound quality. For the price, the audio quality is good. I feel confident in its spatial awareness especially in shooters. It seals outside audio well, but not too harshly for a closed back headphone. Mic audio quality is good, my friends hear me loud and clear. Style and build quality are on level or above what else is available for the price, I especially love the feel of the headset. It is however too wide and feels very loose at times, which means I can't quickly turn my head without worrying about adjusting it to a comfortable listening position. Lots of features, although I don't always find a use for them. Another positive I like is fully removable cables and mic. This is huge for using my Modmic and own, longer 3.5mm headphone cables.
