I got this headset over 2 years ago and use it with the Xbox consoles. For the sale price around $60-$65 I think this is a great headset. Durability - I can barely even tell that I've been using it for that long, it stays clean, the ear cups are still 90% new looking, there is no nasty stuff on the ear cups or the soft part under the head band. The frame is metal and the cord is also a nice braided material. The volume adjuster still works fine. The sound quality is good, but I haven't really used other headsets to compare, but I do know that the bass is good, and everything is clear. Its better now that I got Dolby Atmos for xbox though because that adds an EQ. The ear cups are large and comfortable. The only downsides are probably: not the best mic quality, but ... MoreI got this headset over 2 years ago and use it with the Xbox consoles. It is kind of bulky and heavy, so you probably won't be able to use it while doing anything that involves movement. It can get kind of warm but given that the ear cups are over ear and very cushy, I'm not surprised and I doubt its any hotter than most other headsets of this type. The packaging was also premium, you will be able to tell immediately that Razer takes these headsets seriously. I also remember calling their support with some questions when I first got the headset, and the woman I spoke with was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I can't speak about Razer's other hardware products but I would consider getting a 2nd Razer headset in the future.

Aside from the color alone which is a very cool pink. This headset has spatial audio support for Dolby Atmos and DTS X. Hearing things sound like they are behind you or circling around you is amazing and the added plus is you can hear sounds and music layered so you can almost tell how far an object is away when watching movies or aying games on Xbox Series X. I have not been disappointed. They have punchy bass and great mids too. Lostening to Phil Collins live with 7.1 surround was incredible. If you are a gamer or just simply want a good headset to enjoy surround sound movies on while everyone is asleep these are it. Yeah you could get a Bose headset if you are an audiophile for $300. I use this for both gaming and casual music listening. They sound muddier than my Logitech that was half the price. The sort of games that I play, (ex. Dead by Daylight as Killer) rely heavily on my ability to pick out footsteps (which tend to be on the treble end) from other environmental noise in-game. This headset, without the equalizer, does not make these differences crisp. The equalizer needed to *sort of* fix it is not free. You must pay an extra $10 for the THX Spatial Audio which has the equalizer. The price of $10 is only after using their 50% off code - which is inserted in the box. It's almost as if they knew you'd need it :/ ...And because THX Spatial Audio functions as a "different sound source" in Windows 10 from Realtek, or 7.1 Surround, it's all ... MoreI use this for both gaming and casual music listening. Let me explain why these got 4 instead of 5 stars. First: I bought these for my Xbox Series S because I needed a jacked headset. The cord is pretty long so I just made sure to keep the rubber thing it comes packed with to keep the cord shorter because I sit at a desk right by my console. I personally really like the sound. My husband has Astros and while he feels like there is a difference I really have never felt like I'm missing out on anything. When I got my PS5 I could hear things my team couldn't. Comfort: They are very comfortable. I wear them for HOURS...and I wear glasses!!! Very important for glasses wearers to find over the ear, comfortable headsets. Hearing myself on mic; I sound fine. I don't feel *as* clear as my teammates but they are also just louder ... MoreLet me explain why these got 4 instead of 5 stars. I don't feel *as* clear as my teammates but they are also just louder people. So if anything the mic is my only complaint and it's not even bad. I got attachable kitty ears in the same color as the headset to make them cute. Now on to the loss of 1 star: the mic just doesn't work well with my PS5. They immediately said my voice was different, almost like I was far away or in a tin can. Listening to team playback I was really bothered at how well my teammates sounded, and I didn't. Again, soundwise I felt like they were great but I just couldn't get past my voice in the playback clips. GRANTED...it took 3 other headsets to find one that didn't sound horrible. Some others were crackling, echoing, all that. These didn't do that at all, it just wasn't as clear as my teammates. So I ended up getting SteelSeries and they ended up sounding "the best I've ever sounded" according to my team. If you don't feel like you need to sound perfectly crystal clear then these wouldn't be a problem, it just bothers me personally. I take care of my stuff and keep these hung up on my wall. They are easy to move around and adjust, so they aren't a firm shape when I hang them up but I also don't feel like they are so loose and dangly that they're going to be trashed. I've had them for idk like 8ish months and they're still in great shape. I also love that the volume AND mute are in the same spot; on the cord!! I hate when headsets have all the buttons near the ears (downside of the SteelSeries). I can grab my cord real quick for volume and mute; easy-peasy. Overall: If you're looking for a pink headset, with good sound, a decent mic if you're on Xbox, comfortable (especially with glasses), and won't break the bank...get these!!! I'm actually bummed I have to use a different (more expensive) headset with the PS5 because I really do love these.
Worst fit ever made, loose on my head, not snug at all. I regret buying it online because now am stuck with a $100 headphone I can't keep on my head. It is noise canceling if you could free your hands to press on the cups. Disappointed with the huge ear pads, my fingers slide though the back of my ear with it on my head. Its very ill fitting and slips off if I turn my head too fast. Personally its a poor design flaw with good built in sound support. Head band is plastic so no way to tighten support. My $39 Turtle beach from Warehouse is way better fit that I can wear all day for meetings etc but for gaming experience l preferred Razer, the experience was shattered when the head phone slipped off my head. I am 167 tall with an average head size, it wouldn't sit on my husbands head either so its definitely a design flow. There was no feedback on line about loose fitting until I searched for the problem. I'd suggest trying it out after lock down before you buy. It is not a snug fit so defeats the purpose of calling it noise canceling. Also these are quite big, you can't tell how big it looks on your head until you put it on. My husband said it looks am going to fly an helicopter with the size of those ear muffs. This product is definitely a No for me due to the loose fitting and no instructions on how to resolve it, I'd either snap the plastic pieces by bending it or donate it, wouldn't want to resale to someone else who'd be in the same situation as me. Its unusable.
My first year with these was decent, sound is great when you don't enable 7.1. I like that it has the analog audio connector, with splitter for for mic. They are heavy and I can't comfortably wear them more than a couple hours. The mic can rotate and aim away from your mouth, which greatly affects how you sound to others from one call to the next. I do not recommend this product for WFH, and believe there are better options for gaming as well, even at this price point. The volume control on the cord wore out on mine within the first year, despite never really changing it - it now randomly cuts one ear out, or crackles. I've not been convinced its worth sending in for replacement/repair despite being within warranty.
The headset comfortable, soft around the ears and mic seems to pick up things when needed. It gives you a couple things in the box. Including a card saying a code for you to download razor application to do better microphone settings and range including for games and more. You can pull the mic in and out from the left side and it bends whatever way and direction you want. There’s about maybe 6-7 inches of pulling it in and out. There’s a small wire for it to plug into your computer but no worries, they give you an extra longer cord to connect to your computer, it’s very useful when you need to reach a current distance from your computer to whatever you need. The audio quality is pretty nice, most of my friends tell me that I sound decent if not better in the games ... MoreThe headset comfortable, soft around the ears and mic seems to pick up things when needed. I went for these since they were on sale for the same price as the wired Blackshark set (80+tax). Initially they were absolutely perfect for sound quality and comfort - they weren't overly heavy, the cooling foam was so nice & they didn't get warm until ~4 hours into a gaming session, & the sound was fantastic. They're a little bulky, but overall were brilliant. Then, about a month into owning them, I noticed the sound went extremely quiet to where I could barely hear anything, despite the volume being around the 40-50% mark. Not long after, it died completely, no matter how high the volume was. I unplugged them and plugged them back in, thinking maybe it was my controller - still got no sound. Not long after, it died completely, no matter how high the volume was. I unplugged them and plugged them back in, thinking maybe it was my controller - still got no sound. Tried a brand new controller, still got nothing. Tried my phone, and what do you know - nothing. Keep in mind the mic worked perfectly fine still. I didn't abuse the headset at all during use, and I returned them to the stand Razer sells every time I was done with them; the cord was allowed to hang down completely as well, and they weren't in an area where they'd accidentally be caught by me or anyone else in the house. Couldn't return them to BB as the return period had passed, and I didn't buy an extended warranty, so I went to Razer themselves to see if their 1 year warranty would cover it. A year later, I'm still waiting for a response back from them, despite sending about 1-2 emails about it per month. Overall, just don't waste your money despite the hype that these headsets have from so many gamers/streamers out there. Save the money for a set that's actually worth the cost.
I got this hoping it would perform better than the headphones I already had. I was having issues on Discord with the one I was trying to replace and these did the same. I would have the button on mute, but it seemed to effect other people's audio on discord. My icon on discord would sometimes flicker on, as if I was speaking and I had it on mute. These might do better on a console, but not on a computer. Sound seems fine as far as I'm concerned. I'm no audiofile, I don't know how to put things through their paces and it wasn't my focus. The mic isn't very good. Picks up all the background noises. Seems built pretty decent in my opinion. I like the use of metal in it, it makes the product feel like it will last.
PROS: - The headset feels incredibly sturdy - I like the woven cable for the 3.5mm connection - Microphone worked beautifully, my friends could hear me clearly in-game for the first time - Microphone is flexible, you can move it to any angle you like - No real set-up necessary, other than what I mention below - Incredibly comfortable, big ear cuffs so it goes right over your ears, doesn't press on them or squeeze at all and I think I could have worn these all day, but on that note... CONS: - These things are massive. Literally doubled the width of my head. They were too big for me. Granted, I have a small head but I'm an adult woman, not a child. If I tilted my head forward or turned my head quickly, they would slide and jostle. No amount of adjusting would fix it, ... MorePROS: - The headset feels incredibly sturdy - I like the woven cable for the 3.5mm connection - Microphone worked beautifully, my friends could hear me clearly in-game for the first time - Microphone is flexible, you can move it to any angle you like - No real set-up necessary, other than what I mention below - Incredibly comfortable, big ear cuffs so it goes right over your ears, doesn't press on them or squeeze at all and I think I could have worn these all day, but on that note... No amount of adjusting would fix it, it was a width issue, not a length issue. - The "cups" themselves were huge too. I received several comments that I looked like a pilot. ???: - The audio was okay enough, a little muffled and tinny, but Razer customer service pointed me to a driver that I was supposed to download to get the full sound quality. I didn't see the slip of paper in the box when I initially opened it. I tried to download the driver but it needed the code and I wasn't 100% certain I wanted to keep them, so I ended up not using the code. My friend says after downloading the driver her Razer headset sounded excellent, so I'll trust the issue was the user and not the product. In the end these would have been wonderful, but the fit and sheer size of them just didn't work for me, especially since I was hoping to be able to use them both in a gaming and professional setting and they just look too goofy on me to be taken seriously by colleagues or clients. Bestbuy won't let me return them since I opened the box, so I'm sending them with the unused driver/registration code to my partner whose head is, thankfully, bigger than mine.
