I used a 5 lb setup (Pentax K-70 with FA*400 mm lens) to photograph the 2024 eclipse with no real issues. (I have nothing heavier to put on it.) The Arca-Swiss quick-release mount works as it should. The SmallRig has the usual features found in today's travel tripods - monopod conversion, inverted center column capability, even a 1/4 in threaded attachment point. The big thing for me, however, is that it is solid on the ground. Small when folded, light to carry, sturdy in use, and affordable. There are smaller, lighter, cheaper, or (maybe) sturdier travel tripods, but the SmallRig seemed to me the best compromise of all those factors.

This tripod is easy to setup and breakdown. However, I have a fuji xt 5 and a 16-55 lens. Together they weigh under 5 pounds. This tripod will not hold stable long enough. It's constantly wobbly from the ball head. I will tighten the chuck with the wrench and then tighten the ball head and then I just watch the level on ly camera constantly wobble up and down and this thing cannot get it together.

Great Travel tripod!!! Cant be beat for the money? Not for heavy long lens, But for traveling With a Leica M and any lens it amazing!!!
Best ever at this price.
Tripod seems to be in as close to new condition as you can get with out buying a new one. I havent been able to put it through its paces yet, but initial inspection looks like everything is there and in great shape.
