My criteria may be different than yours. The implementation of ARCA on this tripod left me cold. The safety feature is on the plate, not the ball head. So none of my ARCA plates slide into the Smallrig ball head, the Smallrig plate won't slide into any of my tripods and, don't laugh, the Smallrig ARCA plate won't slide into the Smallrig ball head. In all cases the design of the plate forces one to open the ball head up enough to drop in the plate. So forget about any safety feature as the jaw is wide open and the nubs are useless. Keep turning until it gets there. No one handed mounts/unmounts.

I have several small camera tripods but none of them are small enough and good quality. I have a joby but it went bad and this little stand is very sturdy and high quality. For the price Im' glad I got it and Im sure ill be getting one for my b-camera soon. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros: it's built sturdily, I doubt it will break. You can adjust the legs to any height you want. Quick release plate is nice. The ball head glides smoothly and is easy to tighten or loosen.Cons: I'm skeptical that this tripod is able to hold the weight it claims. I have a body and lens that weighs a little over 3 lbs. The tripod can handle it if the camera is positioned horizontal. But the instant I try to tilt the camera down, it comes off balance and begins to tip. My other big gripe about this is that it comes with an Allen wrench tool to tighten or loosen the legs. I hate carrying extra accessories, I'd prefer to just be able to snap the legs into place, or have some kind of adjuster built onto the tripod.
Quality head and plate. Legs are quality material, but require a hex tool to tighten in an intermediate position. Depending on the weight of your setup, you can leave them tightened and they’ll stay, but really you’d want to have the tool handy to snug it up. Would have been nice if the tripod had a place to stow the tool for transport.
The SmallRig tabletop tripod is mostly of all metal construction with soft plastic tips apparently to prevent marring of support surfaces. A mini ball head is included with a 0 to 360 panning ring with 5 degree increments. The tripod is fairly light in weight, and has legs without stops, such that it must depend on friction for load support. Each leg has a hex socket screw adjustment for appropriate tensioning of the friction on each leg. An allen key hex tool is provided for tensioning of the tripod’s three legs. The ball head has an arca type plate and a single 1/4” screw for device attachment. The knob to tighten the arca plate had a small bubble level on it’s vertical surface, apparently for use when placing the head on the vertical plane. Overall, a nice tripod.
Excellent little tabletop tripod. This is my Sony a6400 with Smallrig camera cage and other accessories. For those looking at this tripod, please note that this is not intended to be used with the legs upright. They do not lock in position. But for intended purpose, it is very stable. Looks cool too.I love it.
This is my third mini-tripod over the past 15 years. It is by far the best tripod with an integrated Arca plate system to match my P/D travel. Adapters weren?t an option because of their additional bulk. It?s a good match to a smartphone adapter that is Arca plate ready such as the SUNWAYFOTO Mobile Phone Clamp model CPC-02 which fits most standard size cases (63-105mm).
This little tripod is well made (like most items from Small Rig). I gotIt because it has a pano feature. The head provided works well and it serves its purpose. One thing that could be improved is the way the legs open. There I are no “stops” to open the legs part way (e.g. as the Really Right Stuff table top tripod provides). The legs have hex screws you can loosen and tighten but opening all the way is the easiest way to use this tripod.
