So, we're in lockdown here and drink a lot of coffee. This was a big debate in our house, coz it's not cheap, and I was googling and youtube searching for days trying to see what to get, but it was so worth every cent. We can make 2 'proper' Aussie style mugs (versus small cups) of latte style coffee in one go... that was the biggest selling point for us, the amount of milk you can heat/froth in one go, as I was sick of making one coffee at a time with our cheap version. I also make hot chocolate for my boy in it, by heating the milk and once it's spinning pretty quick, that's when you add the milo, not too early, as it will get stuck in the frothing device at bottom of the machine (You tube video showed me that before I bought!) Go SMEG! The red looks awesome, too! Delivery was quick and easy, everything about this order has been perfect. So happy!

Gone are the days that my tardy cleaning time (of my previous frother) affect my ability to enjoy a glossy cappuccino. The dishwasher is far more able to clean the jug than me!The great array of settings is wonderful too. The hot chocolate mode has got us through a fair few winter nights. Unfortunately, the product is bad quality. I cannot believe that an item with this price is wrongly fabricated.The silver colour of the base broke away in flakes after only using it for a few weeks. Returned it immediately. Flakes of the colour got into the food, this is clearly a very unsafe way of producing a kitchen item. Really sad, as I liked the product. I hope it will be replaced.
This is essentially a decoration for your countertop.I got this as the 'treat' for myself on our wedding registry and it has caused nothing but fury. It was not long after I received this that it stopped frothing and made a terrible grinding noise regardless of the configuration of the magnets. I replaced all of the magnetic pieces to no avail. To replace the pieces I had to order parts from over seas that took months to arrive.Their customer service is not reachable. I am going to try to return it thru my wedding registry but I cannot say this enough DO NOT PURCHASE THIS.

Except that it usually doesn't have any effect whatsoever, regardless of whether you add full cream or semi-skimmed milk. Nevertheless, I had initial grave reservations about buying an electrical appliance that can only perform variations on one basic task, especially since my kitchen is small and my worktop space very restricted. I suppose in the end my morning coffee simply wasn't as exciting as it could have been.I could wax lyrical about the design, but you can clearly see how beautiful it is for yourself. My eyes are naturally drawn towards it every time I enter the room. Both the latter drinks require a different (smooth) circular whisk to be installed, but you quickly get the hang of it and the printed instructions provided are quite easy to follow.So yes, it's expensive and indulgent, but does make your life seem a little bit more enjoyable and worth living. And sometimes it's difficult or just plain silly to try to put a true price on that.

You won't need to add sugar, so making it positively a healthy and essential winter requirement! I am now prepared - and thank you John Lewis!
Good Points: Mechanically top class. You won’t find a better quality machine. Everything is well made, well thought out and heavy duty.Improvement Points: It doesn’t froth milk and is too big and bulky. It only works with full fat milk, and who drinks that these days? It won’t work properly with anything else. That’s due to the poor design of the plastic whisk. It needs a metal whisk, which will froth semi-skimmed. I’ve owned the Aldi own brand milk frother, and that froths milk much better than this. The Smeg developed an electronic fault after only a few months. It kept pipping at me and switching itself off, which was massively irritating. So, I sent it back for a refund. Very disappointing.
I purchased the SMEG Coffee machine and SMEG milk frother, both in red online last year. We had them.in storage until a few months ago.WOW, these small kitchen appliances are awesome. We are not big coffee drinkers, but use these nealy on a daily basis. I have ordered Cashmere White Chocolate syrups and ORO midi coffee capsules.The SMEG coffee machines works brilliantly and makes a lovely smooth coffee.The SMEG milk frother is awesome, making a nice flat white with some extra frothy milk, coupled with dusted dark chocolate. Easy to clean, ready for the next cuppa.I have had NO concerns with its performance or mechanisms.Love the design, which is what I wanted.

So we plan on taking the little neapresso one with us on vacations and keeping this beautiful pink smeg appliance on the counter. This smeg one is easy to clean and there are no messes. Our cuisinart coffee pot broke after 5 years.
