Sleek in design and adds that little extra style and panache to the kitchen. One of those items you're proud to keep out as it adds something special to the kitchen. Also very easy to use and simple to use. Yet it has that classic style and simplistic design. A great add on to the products available within the smeg range. I adore it. And I couldn't be without it.

DO NOT BUY THIS BLENDER!!!A vitamix blender is 29 dollars cheaper and works so much better.Reasons to NOT BUY:1: does not come with stick to mush down smoothie2: smoothie gets stuck in handle and lid crevices and molds3: the button sometimes stop working on a whim4: takes me 15 minutes to produce a thick smoothie (even then there are many, many chunks, and trust me, it’s not my skills that are producing these bad results. If I could give this 0 stars, I would.

After careful research and considering all of the other beautiful blenders WS sells, we decided to include the Smeg blender on our wedding registry. We'd had a cheap blender that didn't really have any superior functionality prior to that and were really excited to upgrade to a beautiful new blender with better features and sounder construction. So when my grandmother purchased this blender for us from our registry, we were SO excited to begin using it and step our blending game up a few notches. Sadly, after only a few mild uses, a small plastic piece that's used to lock the cup into place broke off of the bottom of the cup, which now causes liquid to leak through the cup and all over the blender stand and counter. This makes a pretty huge mess that's extremely difficult to properly clean, and has basically rendered this blender unusable. We also have absolutely no idea how this piece could have broken off as we didn't use the blender to blend anything difficult or tough on the system and followed all manufacturer instructions for use and cleaning. In the description of the blender on WS's site, it makes some pretty bold claims about the superior construction of this blender, which now we know are absolutely untrue. Obviously, this is a pretty big disappointment considering that this is on the more expensive of blenders, unless you're going up to a Vitamix. We wish we'd known how poorly constructed this blender was before putting it onto our wedding registry. Had we known, we absolutely would have chosen a different model from WS - they have several that have really wonderful reviews! Don't waste your money on this one, and definitely don't put it onto your registry.

Search is over. I use this Smeg as a daily juicer, way quicker and easier to clean than a convoluted juicer. Love the clear lid, and neat blade fit, easy to clean both. Feels sturdy and well made. The fruit & veg particles are super fine & suspended way longer when diluted in water. 30 secs on Ice Crush, then 50 secs on the auto-speed Smoothie preset . Too easy. It's not louder, but has quicker & better results than other blenders I've used over years. I still wear industrial ear muffs using most appliances, need to hear zombies coming when we're older, haha.If it was a race, the Smeg 50s Retro Blender breaks the track record, the Breville Kinetix just entered the home turn, and the Kambrook spun out at the chicane.
Pros: Perfect size for my family of 5.. holds enough water to make 3/4 cups of tea from one boil. Light weight so easy to carry and pour (especially important for someone who is elderly, disabled or requires a small light weight kettle perhaps) and overall looks extremely cute! I love itCons: If I were to pick any improvements (which is hard really) maybe to be able to see how full the kettle is from the outside and/or have a more prominent marking inside the kettle where the max mark is.currently, as someone who cannot see too well would really struggle with seeing that. That's the only thing I can say needs improvement honestly
Similar to another review we have a lot of issues with leakage pretty much from the outset. In addition to this the blender has recently started to become extremely noisy when using which I'm concerned might be to do with liquid getting into the motor. Finally ir is also extremely hard to keep clean and there is gunk inside the plastic shell and handle which is impossible to get out. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Shame as it is a thing of beauty.
I have bought two of these products. They make good smoothies but after a while they leak and malfunction. The first one leaked increasingly larger volumes of smoothie juice from the blender jug into the base repeatedly (see pictures). After a while the smoothie got into the mechanism into the interior of the base itself, and leaked from its bottom onto the kitchen surface. I threw it away as was out of guarantee. At its peak use I was making one smoothie every two days so hardly high volume. I only used it for smoothies. The second one - I gave it a chance and bought one only six months ago - has also started leaking increasing volumes of smoothie. Same frequency of use. See pictures. So it will be only a matter of time before it too fails completely, so shall ... MoreI have bought two of these products. They make good smoothies but after a while they leak and malfunction. The first one leaked increasingly larger volumes of smoothie juice from the blender jug into the base repeatedly (see pictures). William-Sonoma should be ashamed of themselves. This blender sucks. My husband is a doctor and travels. It’s the first time we are using it and it is broken. We can’t even plug it in no lights come on. Well they do and then fizzle out. surprise we call WIlliam Sonoma customer service and nobody can help us. Useless. You should back the products you keep in your store. Frankly I want to close the credit card I just opened with you guys. I’m not waiting three months to swnd to SMEG when you sell in your store that it horrible. Please cancel my credit card ASAP.
Don’t get me wrong, this blender is beautiful, but the design on the jar is horrible. It started leaking from day one. Every other blender I have owned the jar screw’s into the blade creating a seal. This blender’s jar uses compression to attach the blade. The constant shake of the blender loosens up the seal and starts leaking as the gasket is not thick enough to keep the fluids in place. I ended up buying another gasket, trimming it to fit as I was not able to find the Original part. Unscrew the compression seal as 2 gaskets do not fit add the second gasket and screw it all together. Honestly you shouldn't have to do this on a $300 blender…
We love making smoothies in the mornings and I've been on a hunt for a good blender. I love the vintage pastel look of an old school diner but also that it's a high watt (800w) power. I often use berries and wanted to break them into as smooth a texture as possible. Wow was I impressed. It's very powerful. Even in a lower setting. The smoothie turned out really smooth creamy and frothy. Really happy with this purchase.
