I bought this on the internet and when I looked at it, it appeared to be the same size as my one that had caught on fire. The front was exactly the same on the internet. The one I received has a different front is smaller than my original one. I am quite disappointed at the size as I use it to do legs of meat and now this is too small. The microwave itself is very good as I have as stated had one previously. It is just the size. Kind regards Kerrie Eadie

After our 10yr old Smeg microwave was "retired" we were keen to stick with Smeg and this model has been great so far. It is everything the old unit was + 30%. This wascombined with a great service from appliances online.

Bright internal light, low-fuss operating panel, great door handle, easy to clean, excellent grill if you use the supplied elevating rack, I haven't used the oven yet, love the lack of "pulse" style microwave sounds (inverter feature). DON'T like how the fan continues once the microwave has stopped, regardless of how long the unit was on forr, or if there is any condensation. Sometimes the fan runs from 10 to 40 seconds... It feels like it's broken.

This microwave is so slick, beautifully made and designed. It's easy to use and does what is expected of it. The door closure is a bit clunky but I can overlook that.
This is a great microwave, looks really sleek and has a lot of power. Heats up very quickly. Good defrost functionality. Easy to use. Love the convection capability, reaches temperature quickly and saves me heating up the big oven for something small. Only thing to be aware of is that it needs space around it for good air flow so if may not be right for you if you need it to fit into a tight space.
I wish to commend the excellent repair service - for our microwave oven and oven - from Re: SMEG repair serviceman, LLoyd. On a couple of occasions LLoyd has come to our home and on each occasion he has delivered very competent, timely and professional repair service of our microwave oven and oven. This one is awful.....Its under bench and well vented, because it's smaller than the previous one in the same place. But it just gets so hot and doesn't cook as fast either. I have rung and a Smeg technician is due out. I'm not sure if it faulty or just bad design. It's convection as well, but I haven't used that yet. Not game as on microwave my concrete kitchen bench above get so hot, it started to melt a chocolate bar on the bench. I was only using it to the melt the chocolate for the base on some biscuits I have baked in the oven. 1.50 minutes, then stir and 1 more min then stir the 40 sec. I bought this microwave after replacing my old Smeg. We first replaced it with an LG which was a nightmare and lasted 8 weeks then stopped heating. We then went back to the Smeg and would never now buy another brand. GREAT microwave, EASY to use and a GREAT oven to go with it.
As a microwave not too bad. As a convection oven absolute rubbish!!! I’m very disappointed. I had a Smeg conversation/microwave that I bought 6 or 7 years ago and was very happy with it until the door came away from the unit. Plastic clips holding the “face” of the door on snapped. Something like $300 to have fixed so I replaced it with the thing I’ve got now. A great disappointment!!
Bought this unit a few weeks ago. Everything works good but the convection function. It cannot compare to a traditional oven. Put veggies in for 30 mins, still not cooked when take it out. A bit disappointed.
