I absolutely love this toothbrush and have been using this style, Philips sonicare diamond clean toothbrush for likely 6-8 years now. I love the different features it has on it, the different cleaning/vibration modes and the 3 speed/pressure modes. What I love the most is the built in timer. The toothbrush pauses vibration for half a second to indicate its time to move to the next set of tooth surfaces. Each different brushing mode has its own timer and a brushing style you are supposed to follow, but obviously don’t have to. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dang things break pretty easily! I have had to initiate warranty claims a few times over the years because the toothbrush just stops working or the motor separates from the attachment so the vibration is weakened/not what it used to be or should be. DON’T EVER GET YOUR TOOTHBRUSH WET!! That will definitely lead to a broken toothbrush in time. It breaks from water/moisture exposure because water get into the motor and mechanical components and they rust. I actually took one apart before to see what was going on and discovered tons of rust. Water can enter through the buttons, the top where you put the brush head on and even through the bottom/base of the actual toothbrush because that’s where the motor gets inserted through, so water can seep through the separation at the bottom of the toothbrush. Make sure to ALWAYS REMOVE the toothbrush head before rinsing your used toothpaste off and when cleaning your toothbrush head. It will add to the life of your toothbrush.

The sonic waves were a bit of a surprise when I first used this toothbrush. The feeling is very different from a more traditional electric brush. It’s hard to describe but I feel that I get a really good clean. The small, oval brush is good for getting behind back teeth which I struggled to do with a larger, round brush head. Only thing I don’t like as much is that the timing intervals are in 6 sections rather than 4. This is just a personal preference but constantly changing direction/ grip on the upper and lower middle sections is a bit annoying to cover all surfaces but of course you can ignore the timing buzzes. The travel charger is great - has its own box to keep everything clean and tidy. I am surprised at how well I enjoyed this toothbrush with just a couple of days of usage. The first thing I’ve noticed about this toothbrush is how modern and sleek the design is. This toothbrush has 4 modes. Clean mode, for daily usage. White+ mode, to increase the visibility of pearly white teeth (one of two of my favorite modes). Gum health mode, it’s gentle, especially for your gums. I find gum health mode to be catered to those who are sensitive around the gums and teeth. Lastly, deep clean+ mode is my second favorite mode. Deep clean+, I’d say is effective, efficient, and rejuvenating. Especially, after a heavy meal, or after something sweet. If you’re sensitive and want to use the Deep clean+ mode, that’s an option to use. This toothbrush also has a pressure sensor that warns with a pulsing sound, when you’re brushing too hard. I like the reminder features of the need to replace your toothbrush head too. Dental hygiene is key for your health and with all these features within the toothbrush, I can’t recommend this toothbrush to others enough. Also to include the charging station for the toothbrush is incredible because it has an acrylic/plastic protector holder that you’re able to remove and clean. I find the protector holder to be quite effective, especially to protect the charger from multiple usages. Within three weeks of using this toothbrush, I indeed saw a significant change in my oral health. I’ve seen a brighter appearance and healthier gums thanks to all these features this toothbrush has. I’ve also stopped getting my teeth whiten and stopped using those abrasive whitening strips, thanks to this toothbrush with its White+ Mode. Overall, I find this toothbrush to be the best in value, due to the multiple features it has.

As a loyal customer of Sonicare, throughout the years I've tried their competition toothbrush but my teeth are much better satisfied with a Sonicare toothbrush! Which is why I am here to tell you how over the moon I was to open a brand new Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 electric toothbrush. It just so happens that close to my birthday my old Sonicare Diamond clean toothbrush stopped working permanently after 3 years (not the same model of course). Upon opening the box of this new set, I couldn't help but tell my husband all about the details of this new one! I was so blown away with the gorgeous blue design, the slick and modern USB travel case that has space for 2 toothbrush heads!! I was so blown away with the gorgeous blue design, the slick and modern USB travel case that has space for 2 toothbrush heads!! (great for traveling by the way!!) and on the bottom has a usb cord nicely tucked away for a charge when traveling. The charger glass is 3 pieces, the beautiful bottom golden like color, then a clear plastic stand piece, and on top is a clear glass cup. Looks amazing when charging! The fully charged toothbrush lasts 2 weeks without having to charge with use multiple times each day. The toothbrush itself connects to an App Android or Iphones. I have an Android, I set it up on my phone and it was super easy to use. Honestly, I learned more about brushing my teeth than I ever did in decades. My teeth have a super clean, smooth feel to them, and not to mention a refreshing mouth! Huge fan of the slick ergonomic design, my hands are on the smaller side and this toothbrush fits perfectly. Along with the toothbrush heads, I prefer it much better than other brands. It gets into the right spots, especially back teeth and side teeth and really gets the job done. The toothbrush itself has 5 modes: clean, white plus, gum health, deep clean plus, tongue care. My favorite one of all is white plus as I love to have my teeth super white. Smile is everything, especially in the modeling world or meeting another parent or teacher at school or date night with husband. Another huge plus about this toothbrush is that it not only guides you but lets you know when the pressure is too hard by lightning up the purple ring on the bottom, along with vibration. Something else I noticed, there are 3 bars in between 2 buttons, those are 3 modes to let you know what level intensities you'd want. I love that these brushes are reliable and the battery lasts years without having to replace the full brush. Very durable and reliable design and brand. Excellent quality product.
I bought this toothbrush in a sale on Amazon with a considerable discount. Delivery was next day via prime delivery. The toothbrush looks good, and the charging case is handy while travelling. The toothbrush cleans well, though it automatically cuts off after 2 minutes (or a little more when using the deep clean/whitening modes). This means you need to time each area of your mouth to be cleaned - if you spend too much time on one area, then other areas will not be cleaned in time. Of course, you can restart the toothbrush for this, but it's quite a poor design. The toothbrush should 'sense' where you have cleaned and only shut off after all areas of the mouth have been cleaned.Despite the positives of the toothbrush mentioned above, my experience with the Philips ... MoreI bought this toothbrush in a sale on Amazon with a considerable discount. The toothbrush should 'sense' where you have cleaned and only shut off after all areas of the mouth have been cleaned.Despite the positives of the toothbrush mentioned above, my experience with the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 has been marred by intermittent faults - primarily related to charging (or lack of!). At random intervals, the toothbrush just stops charging. Usually this can be remedied by cleaning the bottom of the toothbrush (which is used for the wireless charging) as this often attracts toothpaste residue.Today however, my toothbrush completely packed in without warning. It wouldn't charge, despite being completely clean underneath.I don't mind paying for a quality product, however I had expected a far better experience than this! Philips used to be a respectable brand, but now I'm very hesitant to buy anything by Philips again. As for toothbrushes, I purchased an Oral-B iO9 (also on offer) today. I used one of these before the Sonicare and found it to be a very reliable toothbrush - unlike the Sonicare.Until Philips improves their build quality and reliability, I can't recommend Sonicare toothbrushes.
This toothbrush is my favourite for cleaning but the build quality is rubbish. You only have to look down the list of reviews to see this isn't isolated and Philips offer generic responses to customer feedback. I have gone through 2 devices in 18 months which is outrageous given the price. The first developed a fault because of a loose screw that secures the brush connector to the sonic mechanism. Philips don't use liquid Loctite on the screw to stop it vibrating loose. The other developed an electrical fault and goes off indescrementently or not at all. My Oral B toothbrush is still going strong after 7 years! I can't bring myself to shell out for another one of these until Philips fix the design flaws.
Starting in 2016 I became a dedicated fan of Philips Diamondclean toothbrushes. I found their brushing quality absolutely superb. Since then I have bought THREE toothbrushes at full price, plus only ever bought genuine Philips heads which are very expensive. Total spend easily over £650 in 8 years. 2 years and 3 months after my last £200 toothbrush, and it has failed on me. The rod that supports the head has just gone completely limp, it makes a huge noise and hardly moves the head any more. As it's out of warranty by 3 months I can't get it replaced. Yes it's a great product and worth a premium, but no - it's just not worth THAT much. I've heard now the competition is catching up with the quality so I'm going to check that out now.As mentioned I don't mind paying ... MoreStarting in 2016 I became a dedicated fan of Philips Diamondclean toothbrushes. You would be too if you spent £200 on a toothbrush.
I have bought this set in 2021, and now both toothbrushes are out of order. Firstly, I was unpleasantly surprised that none of the previous Philips Sonicare charges fit, they required a socket adapter. I had also to buy a travel etui with a charger separately for £30. After a year the second (function) button has stopped working on both toothbrushes, and now they are both not working - they have started turning on unexpectedly at night (while not being charged, just resting on a bathroom shelf), waking up the household. Afterwards - both went dead while in use. A disgrace, a shame on Philips going the pathetic marketing route producing items that are not intended to last and have to be replaced after barely 2 years. I'm amazed at how far the technology has gone into these toothbrushes and I've been a Sonicare customer for a number of years now. This is, by far, the most comprehensive toothbrushing system I've ever used. What's especially helpful is the brushing guide on the app while I'm using the toothbrush. I like that the brush breaks down the session into how well I brushed while also keeping a record of how far I've come since using it. My only complaint with using this brush is that at times, it loses connection with my cellphone. Resetting Bluetooth doesn't always work. What I do not like is that connection to the brush is done through the app and not Bluetooth itself. So far, the only solution I've found is uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Another thing I'm not ... MoreI'm amazed at how far the technology has gone into these toothbrushes and I've been a Sonicare customer for a number of years now. The toothbrush's 4 modes and its levels of intensity have done well to improve my teeth. However, it has also brought to me too much inconvenience:1. After using it for a week, its light keeps flashing for 5 minutes even when I do not touch it. This makes the toothbrush's battery life becomes wayyy shorter than its advertisement.2. For the 1st situation, I contacted Philips Customer Service to ask for how to fix my toothbrush. They suggested me to send my handle for an exchange with a normal handle, and so I did.3. Philips sent me a new handle which is, to my surprise, not the same with my original handle in version. My handle is 7900 model, but they sent me 5100 handle which is wayyyy cheaper than the 7900 that I paid. I am really angry with this. Especially the one that has received so many negative reviews?4. I had to contact Philips Customer Service again to exchange the exchanged one with the right handle. They started to blame me for sending my original handle away before asking them. I was so angry, again. I still keep all the transcript of my chats with them so they cannot say something like that to their customer. They asked me to wait for a week so they can see what was going on. I have yet to receive any news from them. Disappointing!5. So, in total, it takes me more than a month to solve a small problem that should not occur in the first place. It takes me more than a month to brush my teeth. I cannot believe it!
