Great looking TV good size for me not too big and not too small. Very easy to set up the TV, the feet were straightforward, slotting safely into place with no screws to worry about. I found the on screen set up guide extremely friendly to follow. I soon had the TV up and performing complete with internet connection and Google TV. The standard picture quality was adequate, however with a visit to the comprehensive on screen settings it is possible to upgrade the picture quality to vivid and using BBCiPlayer some programmes can be set up and watched in UHD. The TV is a great design either for a table top or for a wall mount. The built in speakers are fine and the sound is adequate, i have linked up my existing Sony soundbar and I will compensate the sound for watching concerts and movies. There are a terrific number of features built into this TV and yet the price point is well within reach. I love exploring this smart TV and it has extended my knowledge and enjoyment of what is available as all its features are so responsive and easy to use. I am now in my early seventies and I still enjoy technology advancements. I am male, living in the South West. As a Sony fan of many years I found this Bravia a superb piece of kit and without hesitation I would recommend Sony to my friends and relatives

The TV arrived well packed in a sturdy box. Inside, with a little help, the TV was quite easy to remove. The TV stand, plug lead, two legs and remote controls (there are also two of them) were securely packed within the white packaging material. As it appears to be normal nowadays, I initially found the instructions for this TV hard to get to grips with. As I’m a pensioner, maybe it’s my age! There was a ‘Set Up Guide’ which explained how to put the legs on and the location of the various connector housings. In the end I chose to ignore the initial set up instructions and mounted the TV on a wall using my experience and common sense and had no problems at all. While I attached the wall bracket to the TV I fitted the legs supplied to support the TV. They are a simple ‘push in’ fit. The Sony support site has more detailed instructions including a Start Up Guide, Wall Bracket Mounting, Safety Instructions and so on. I was very impressed with the build quality and design of the TV and it’s general appearance. There was hardly any rim at all round the screen which gave it a very attractive sleek look. The initial set up is quite simply a matter of following the on-screen instruction after switching the TV on, via one of the remote controls. I used the numerical TV remote control for the initial TV set up and found it quite easy and quick to do. The only thing I needed to do was to turn the volume up a little more. There is also an option in the set-up to select the correct sound quality for wall mounting, or stand mounting, depending on where you have located the TV at home. The sound from the speakers was so good I see no need at the moment to add a soundbar. On switching the TV on the first thing I noticed was the superb picture quality and sound. The colours were sharp, vibrant and true to life, which I find is now typical of Sony TV’s. There’s also a built-in light sensor that automatically adjust the picture according to the room light conditions. To set up Google TV I found the other remote control (with built in microphone) simple to use and I had an easy Google ‘set up’ because I have a Google account which I already use. If you have no Google account it is a simple matter of following the on-screen instructions, going through all the blurb and download the app to your smart phone. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney and YouTube channels are all available to use at the touch of the appropriate button on the remote control. Don’t worry if you have no Google account because you can still receive YouTube, BBC iPlayer, Netflix etc, without one. The built-in microphone on the remote control seemed to work well when I used it and understood my verbal instructions. If you have other add-ons like a soundbar, Blu-ray/DVD player etc. there are plenty connections on the back left side of the TV. The connections are just accessible if the TV is mounted on a wall. There is an On/Off button on the centre front of the TV, just below the Sony label. I mention this because it took me a while to realise it was there. This is a great user-friendly TV, easy to set up with superb picture and sound quality straight from the box. There are no fiddly adjustments required before enjoying the viewing experience. I would certainly, without hesitation, recommend it as a great buy.

The initial setting up of the TV was,on the most part, effortlessly easy, much easier than earlier version's. The onl thing i found frustrating was the setting up of the Apple TV app. I found it impossible to register my account but i suspect the problem was with Apple. The problem was resolved when i updated the TV software to the latest version and was now given the option to use the QR scan to setup my Apple TV account which was a simple process. Perhaps once an internet connection is established in the setup, the TV could immediately look for the latest software and download if available. The build quality is, as ever, robust and of the highest material. As i previously stated because of the price of this TV, you will be delighted at the quality of every aspect of it, picture, sound and steaming applications.would recommend it to anyone who appreciates entertainment with quality.

About a year ago I’ve got a smart tv that, in general terms, it was okay. But now, I went from “okay” to “this is great!” The X80K I’ve got is 55” and fits perfectly in my living room which is about 6x5 mts. Body: quite light although it is better to set it up with 2 persons. The frame of the screen is quite slim and looks great. The feet can be set in 2 different positions so the size of your stand is not compromised. In my case I used the standard wide option. A couple of nice features I found is that you will not need a screwdriver to fix the feet of the TV, just insert them and voilá! A nice perk, Sony sends you a couple cable holders that you can set on the back of the TV fixed to each foot to hold the cables properly. Considering that my cat loves to hide behind the screen all the time and mess up with everything, these holders come handy. Additionally, if you are looking to set the TV on a wall holder, although these use to come with bolt screws of all sizes, Sony saves you the effort and sends you the right size for the unit. Ports: this is, likely, something I always want to know in advance so I can make sure I have room for everything and, of course, get the cables ready. So, this is what I’ve got: 1x USB 5V 500 mA MAX, 1x USB HDD REC 5V 900 mA MAX, 3x HDMI, 1x HDMI (eARC/ARC), 1x Optical out and 1x LAN. More than enough for my stuff. Accessories: first time I see a TV that comes with 2 remotes! But it all makes sense upon the setup. The conventional control will come handy once you unify all your TV boxes so you use this remote to control all of them. In my case, I have Polsat and the usual open channels. The other is a simplified control that you can use if you are looking for streaming and other apps. You get direct buttons for Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Youtube. Just be sure that both controls are close to you, otherwise, your partner may have the chance interrupt your soccer game and play her favourite sitcom as both controls can be used simultaneously. Setting up: 32’ in my chronometer from opening the box to seating and watch (that includes reading Privacy policies, I always do). It is very straight forward. You set your language, region, add your Google account (if you want to) set up all the inputs and streaming accounts. Interface: this is the bit that I loved the most. The menu is way simpler than previous series in many brands. Everything is handy and easy to navigate. I loved the adaptive brightness function which works just like in my Xperia mobile. The Cinema mode resulted my favourite. And, the best of the features in the menu was the option to switch off the screen and allow me to explain why: with the previous screen, whenever I used Spotify or played my CDs, I had to keep the screen on as the interfaces are controlled through the TV. That was annoying because, ultimately, all I wanted was to set a playlist or play a CD and listen the music whilst wandering around the house or reading a book and having the screen on had no use and was a waste of energy. Now, I can just set the list and then switch the screen without shutting everything off. I love it! Needless to say that the TV speakers are wonderful. And the set up with my Sony sound system was automatic. (Like a plug and play) My final comment is that this TV ticks all the boxes in my list: from easy setting up to marvellous interface. Not a single downside in my list.
Sony xr90k full array led television. My first impression of this tv is how beautiful and bright the picture is! with the full array led it looks more lifelike. It has acoustic multi-audio with tweeters on the side which makes for clearer fuller surround sound. I have an older Bravia and can say that the picture and sound quality is a big step up. It has a modern look with slim bezels and the legs were easily attached, it is also a reasonably light item. I found setting up the tv was easy enough. Bluetooth pairing was a breeze, Google tv is fine with lots to choose from, and I can switch between basic tv and you view if necessary .It, of course has chrome cast built in., It took a little while to get used to the new smaller type remote, but I soon got the hang of ... I have not tried Bravia core yet, but will do so shortly.(checked it out and it is a very good streaming service with a great offer of 5 free top movies .) I have paired it with my Sony 5.1 dvd system and they work well together The tv finds all the hdmi connections very quickly It seems that the apps set up has been improved greatly since I bought my other Sony tv just three years ago, everything is quickly to hand and slicker. I think that if you could record programmes when on you view, that would be an improvement Switching between hdmi channels is a breeze with the smart remote ,and with two of the hdmi channels available with 60-120 refresh rate, this will make for smoother PlayStation gaming, viewing etc. A cam can be fitted to the top of the tv if needed for video chatting .etc.. I have not got through all the features yet,(there are a lot!) but so far am very happy with this tv I would recommend the video explaining the features of this on the Sony website or you tube All in all,a very beautiful and immersive experience so far
I bought this to replace an 8-year-old flat 55" LG LED TV. Picture: This is my first 4K TV so I won't comment much on the picture quality. It looks amazing, but I can't say whether it is better than other 4K TVs. I was shocked at how good even standard HD (1080p) looks -- the 4K upscaling really works. From certain angles I can see a bit of light bleeding around the edges when the picture is very black. Sound: This TV sounds great with the native speakers. The audio is full and rich and there's no distortion at high volumes. Much better than the LG LED TV it replaced. No need for a soundbar unless you're really into a high-end audio experience. In fact, make sure you have Google Home installed on your phone and you're logged in. If you have all of that ready to go, setup is pretty easy. The Google interface is fine, though it does force "suggestions" on you that I wish I could get rid of. Hardware: It's a little thicker and heavier than the LG it replaced, but I imagine this is due to the build quality that Sony has always been known for. If you are wall-mounting, make sure to screw in the extenders that come with it. The screw holes are recessed in the back and I didn't notice the extenders and had to go to the hardware store for some extra-long M6 screws. Otherwise, I was able to install this on my existing mount fairly easily. Remote: The remote is pretty basic but I was pleased that it can control the main functions of my cable box. I wish it had a couple of more buttons -- cable box power and last-channel, to be specific. The voice command feature works well.

Finally settled after trying at least 5 Led/Oleds the past 4-5 years. I’m coming from one of the most excellent tv pictures ever produced in the Pioneer Elite FD-141 plasma which is an 2008 model and still has a excellent pic. Recently returned a LG C2 Oled, and also a Sony A80J Oled, which both had great pics but I decided I didn’t want to spend the extra money on top of purchasing the geek squad 5 year coverage. Before returning the Sony A80J Oled I thought I’d give an Led a shot. Picked up the X80K 65” and was very pleased with the picture. Plasmas and Oleds are known to have great off angle views if you’re sitting off to the side, which is important to me as my living room is narrow and long. Plasmas and Oleds are known to have great off angle views if you’re sitting off to the side, which is important to me as my living room is narrow and long. The X80K has a great picture straight on, and surprisingly has a pretty good picture off to the side. So it was a no brainer for me to buy the X80K with the 5 year protection plan for a lot less than what one of the Oleds would have cost me. Most of my tv watching is cable, Spectrum, streaming content, mostly YouTube, and also use a 4K Blue Ray. Sound is fairly good from the tv, but I use a home theatre receiver. I like the remote as it is smaller than the previous year model, another selling point, which connects to my home theater receiver, awesome. So I don’t have to use 3 different remotes if I don’t want to. I included some pics of the Sony. Straight in front, off to the side. Almost 2 months later I’m happy with my choice.
A well needed replacement to my outgoing KD-49X8309C, the Sony X85K immediately boasts presence in my living room. The 55 inches makes so much difference on its own, and then you turn it on. As an openly honest Sony fan, it was very easy for me to navigate through the set up screens, connecting to wifi and also setting up what devices connected to what HDMI ports. The X85K has 4 HDMI with two of them supporting 120hz. This was a fantastic bonus having two slots capable of high quality. I've used it playing Destiny 2 crucible and you can see the absolute clarity of everything as if you're seeing things in new eyes for the first time. Let's not forget to mention activating HDR. The internal sound has an equaliser too. So love this feature, and it can be put to great use if you don't have an amp. For the kids, it comes packed with the usual streaming packages or apps and if they are not already preloaded, the great internal drive installed will allow you to download very quickly what you require. Another great thing to note with this product is that it comes with two remotes. One with all the buttons and numbers and functions, and a smaller one with key buttons on. Couldn't let this gesture not go unnoticed. Naturally unless you need the main controller, it saves it being hammered. Very well thought of especially when you have kids demanding to switch between streaming channels. The other great feature to note is the external drive input. This means you can attach an external drive and record! Glad it has been passed on. Overall, this TV is from my perspective a fantastic leap up with all the features I need for gaming and my kids need for streaming. I would absolutely recommend this Sony product.
originally I was going to get a cheaper TV, near the $300-400 range during the BF sale and came in store to take a look at what they had. for every single TV under $500, the picture quality was beyond disappointing. when I came over to this display, the Bravia TVs were SO visually satisfying that I knew I needed to bring one home. I am going to be eating very light for awhile to accommodate this purchase, but it's so worth it. I mounted it on my wall with a rocketfish mount and movies and shows do so well on this TV. I would recommend turning off some of the color correction settings, as it can cause weird movement and discoloration but ultimately this has been a delight to use. i recommend looking in to optimized settings for these online to get the most out of ... I am a musician and softcore audiophile, so sound quality is a priority. the optical connection is the way to go if you want to be impressed. overall 10/10, would happily purchase again. only complaint is a software one- I wish there were a way to *only* show titles I already have access to with my current subscriptions on the home page. nothing more gross than selecting something and finding out you have to pay more to view it. Sony cannot control what happens inside of apps, but it can control what it shows me on the Home page. additionally, the remote controller is NICE! it feels so solid and is aesthetically pleasing- I hate a bulky, ugly remote but this one feels and looks excellent. killer design across all fronts.
