Sound quality. extensively great.. having the adjustable EQ, makes it so much better to enjoy music that you love. the premium sound that Sony offers is second to none and if you are into music and are keen on the sound quality, than this is your go to.Call..with regards to call, I have experienced drop in sound quality in comparison with others. I had them at 60% battery life one day, and 8 hours later the voice prompt finally said “low battery” and that was at 20% battery left in both earbuds. They do last a very long time. Mind you I have mixed usage.. music, movies, phone calls/etc, and they still have outlasted any other pair I’ve had. I cannot speak for battery length in ANC/transparency mode, but I can say that they do outlast anything.Tap control… be weary, that while they are functional, you have to tap the earbuds just right for them to recognize the functions you wish to have them perform. They seem to be proprietary to the center of the earbud, as I’ve tried tapping just outside the center and nothing happened. This may be cumbersome to a lot of people who like having tap controls.. I barely use them except to change sound modes, and play/pause whatever I’m listening to or watching at the time.Overall, if you’re a sound guy, you want top of the line ANC, and a superior battery life and can live with small discomforts.. I highly recommend these for you and they will not disappoint.

You can truly pretty much block out all background annoyances at busy locations or choose to allow some ambient sounds to penetrate (for example, if you need to hear train station announcements or children calling you).The buds themselves took a bit of getting used to as they are bigger than I was used to and at first was terrified they would drop out of my ears. However, don’t also has this problem covered by supplying a choice of 3 different ear tips that mould to the shape of your ear. There’s even an option in the app to test the air-tightness of your selected tips until you know you’re using the perfect size. What’s more, there’s even a configuration option in the app to have the sound quality customised to your exact ear shape by taking photos of each ear! (I know, WOW!).I also love how those headphones support Dolby atmos and Sony 360 degree reality audio which I can use on my TV and many of my Amazon music/Apple Music songs.Lastly, the headphone case is great quality as you’d expect for such premium headphones. The headphones fit magnetically and there’s no danger of them dropping out. I purchased a purpose - fit spigen armour case just to add an extra element of protection.I seriously couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The fact that these headphones are still top of most “best in- ear headphones” lists (including what hi-fi) after a solid 2-3 years is testament to how great they truly are. I’m sure they will remain top of my list for a good couple if years as I doubt many companies, other than Sony themselves, could better these!

I’ve had several pairs of wireless in-ears (inc Sennheisser) in search of something to compare with my wired Shure 525s. Obviously a fruitless task as wired will always have the edge, but my problem was exacerbated by lugholes being shaped such that most earbuds either won’t get in them or, when they do, don’t form the necessary tight seal (the smaller Shure tips are perfect but most wireless don’t come in such a small form. Reviews of the Sonys promised so much but the fit would be the make or break for me. Frustratingly, it’s not possible to try before you buy (often not able to even look at the inside of the sealed packages). After much hesitation I took the risk and splashed out on the Sonys. The sound is rich, deep, spacious and engaging.The medium earbuds are a pretty good size for me but I can only achieve the perfect seal by applying a bit of moisturiser on them to help get them in. A faff but worth the effort for the impressive result achieved.All made more practical by a reasonably good ‘ambient sound’ setting so that I don’t have to take them out to converse. The noise cancelling works a treat too (background noise whilst on a recent flight was pleasantly nullified) - definitely seems to be more effective than that on the Sennheisser True Wireless that I had for a short while.Very happy with the Richer Sounds service but quite overjoyed by the sound of these earphones. Read some reviews which suggest that Sonicfoam ear tips are even better than those supplied with the Sonys and am looking forward to trying those.If I were to be critical at all - tried running with them in and there’s an unpleasant thud in the ears with each footfall (fine when walking). I’m hoping the Sonicfoam tips will improve on that but if not, I’m more than happy with restriction and these are keepers.
