I have had the last TV I have been using for the past 16 years. It was a Samsung. When looking for a new TV, I was drawn to the Sony TV as the Samsung didnt have google TV. Google TV is so easy to use and it was a dream to set up the TV. A few updates when I connected it to the internet, but otherwise it was up and running like a dream. TV reception is abit grainy, but moving and streaming are very clear. I will invest in a sound bar to assist with music being clear & punchier but otherwise for the price the TV is an amazing TV and was a great deal.

This tv. Wow, now we don't have antenna out in the country here. The Internet tv functions without fault. The Google interface is nice smooth and a good standard. Sound is the best ive heard on a tv and it plays astrobot really really well. The sound on the games is amazing and the bravia link for the PS5 is an excellent feature since the kid has taken the PS5 into the rear bedroom. You can wireless streaming and play ps5 on the bravia 3 cable free. Picture is awesome sound is awesome and its a Sony. Like my other half "the one and only" i buy Sony for its family values. In the words of the zen master, "tell me has there ever been such a family style as this"

Dissatisfied
12 June 2024

Recently, I purchased a new TV hoping for a seamless viewing experience, but alas, the reality fell short of expectations. This TV, while simple and sturdy in design, lacks the wow factor. The display quality is disappointingly below average, with colors that fail to impress. Considering the price, one would expect more. In hindsight, opting for an LG TV would have been a wiser choice. Overall, a regrettable purchase that fails to deliver on its promises.

Great
8 August 2024

I am a Sony fan, I have purchased the Sony 55" BRAVIA 3 4K HDR LED. I find the 55inch is a good size. The picture quality is great when you set your own preferences of settings. And it is amazing with the quality picture on my PS5. Sound is good. It has been a month since purchase and I had no issues yet. The only down side is the remote issue, often the remote do not respond where you require to remove the batteries out for 10-15 seconds the place them in back for it to respond. I ask Sony to fix this issue and release a better remote.

Honestly Great

Honestly Great. So the Sony B3 line up is budget but it performs better than normal budget TVs. The colours are excellent, blacks are great, it's plenty bright and all the encoding, HDR, Dolby Vision etc works really well, even the inbuilt speakers are pretty good. While most people will say it's a budget TV, you can't expect much, it's not exactly true with Sony. Their colour science is great, the 4k chip works great even thou it's a bit older now and the pannel is plenty bright with no light bleed and pretty good black levels, most of which is because it's back lit led and VA pannels in all except the 75 inch. VA is about as good as you get with a traditional LCD for black levels just lossing our on viewing angles slightly. It's works great with PlayStation and ... MoreHonestly Great. VA is about as good as you get with a traditional LCD for black levels just lossing our on viewing angles slightly. It's works great with PlayStation and the 100hz motion mostly compensates for not having 144hz and it supports gaming in Dolby Vision with HDR tone mapping and Low Latency Mode. The firmware or rather Google TV is great, any issues are really cause by android rather than anything to do with the TV and Sony actually have added quite a bit of there own into Google TV which makes it better than normal google tv integration.I found that both of the B3 displays in store weren't set up properly and didn't really do the pannel justice.I got the 50inch Bravia 3 and I'm very happy with it. There plenty of options in this category but sometimes it's hard to beat Sony's colour science and the TV itself performs great.Sure you could go and OLED but it's quite a lot more, (I have a LG C3) you could go mini led but that has different drawbacks and if you just want a good tv, that has a nice picture, supports all the normal HDR and Dolby extentions and performs well, easy to use and works well with ps5 I highly recommend the Bravia 3. The 75inch mite be different as it's the only one with an IPS pannel, better viewing angles but mite losses out on black levels. VA gives better blacks, all be it having to sit more in line with the TV.Sony mite cost a little bit more but I find it's usually worth it for both picture quality and overall quality.

Keep it simple
24 September 2024

I bought this TV a couple of weeks ago and I have to say for a senior citizen it was extremely frustrating trying to get around all the technology. My number one complaint is the tiny remote control which needs a magnifying glass to be able to see the keys on it, then there are no numbers to make it easier to get to the different channels. Surely the number keys are more important than those for Netflix etc. When it came to getting the picture to fit the TV, well what a joke, each channel has to be tuned in separately and often when the Tv is turned off and you go back to a channel the picture has reverted to the original square. In this day and age surely tuning in a new Tv should be much simpler without having to do each channel individually. There’s also no previous channel key, the only way to get to it is to choose a button with several options and then spend the time getting to that! Not at all impressed - what do they say - KEEP IT SIMPLE.

I had paid for installation and it took 3 hours. Very slow to setup 1 and 2.I have no colour and can’t turn off volume voice over when I change channels. The tv is too technical for me. Far too much detail for me. I had no idea it would be so difficult to use.If I could change it for simple tv without so much detail, I would. I have to pay for technician to come back and fix all the issues. Very frustrating and unhappy 😔. I guess I am too old for so much technology and most of it I don’t need. Costing hundreds in installation fees.I would like to change it for a simple version. installation man I have used before and he even said he has never seen such a difficult setup with slow installation. Pic ok wifi not
13 October 2024

The picture quality is good for this price range, wireless connectivity is pretty ordinary though. I specifically bought this google TV for the ability to use the apps over wifi. It will connect and work fine for ages then just suddenly loses the connection and won't reconnect despite excellent signal strength. 10 minutes later after numerous reconnect attempts it works fine again. Every other wireless device works fine so not the wireless network.

After my old Samsung finally died, I decided to get a Sony as I bought one for my parents a few years ago and they seem happy. It’s a smart tv that you have to log in with Google to get all the extra channels which I hate, the remote doesn’t have numbers which is annoying and it always need to be powered on, so if you think you can turn the power off at the outlet when you’re not watching you can’t as it’s like a computer that needs to boot up…. gone are the days of simple TVs when you plug it in, tune and watch.
