Sony can always be trusted for little cheapo headphones. I have had pairs like this for years at a time and really only replace them when I lose them. Of course, once I buy a new set, I usually find the old ones. These babies work well if you want to plug them into your ps4 controller to game with friends, and they work well to block out noise and listen to music while running heavy equipment. You can hear over the noise of a tractor's PTO running a 10 in diameter auger carrying corn or soybeans up into a grain silo (bin). If you haven't experienced that, I will just tell you it's a lot of decibels. I will always pick these over clunky, over ear headsets that never fit right and just make your ears sweat. I am still old school enough that I don't want to lose one earbud or not be able to listen to music because I ran out of battery. I think it's stupid to limit yourself to 8 hrs of use just so you don't have to deal with a harmless cord. To each their own. These babies last for years. I have them in blue and white and like to have a spare set in my purse or backpack at all times.

We got these for our daughter to have when we travel. Great for kids especially since they are inexpensive. We weren’t worried about her breaking them or losing them. The sound quality was pretty good (great considering the cost). Obviously you won’t get a huge noise reduction, etc like higher end ear buds but they definitely performed well. One down side is that since most phones do not have phone jacks anymore we ended up having to order a cheap adapter to utilize wired earbuds.

I was so surprised at these particular headphones. I was not even looking to buy headphones at the time I happened to find these. But being the headphone junkie that I am, not only do I feel like Sony generally puts out really good products, these were a shade of PURPLE!!! I found them at an outstanding price, so I had to have them as a backup pair, just in case.....well, when I finally tried these out, I was surprised at the quality for an average pair of just good "of headphones. They sounded so clear and they had a good amount of volume. I would rank them up there with my $40.00 pair of Bluetooth Sony headphones as far as quality. These really were a great find!! If I still used wired headphones, I would certainly buy these again in a pinch!!

Low build quality headphones, if they didn't say Sony i'd assume they were the sort of headphones form a market or poundstore. The wire is very thin and prone to tangling, could break if left in a bag with heavy objects or keys etc. The button allows you to start/stop music but the sensitivity also means that it triggers voice commands on iPhones if you move the wire. Not recommended for anyone with an Apple product. The sound quality is good but with the low build quality and continual iPhone voice commands its difficult to see these lasting more than 6months to a year. Better to get higher quality headphone with a longer lifespan

Breaking More Often
22 February 2023

I've been using this model of earbuds for years now. I think the quality is generally good for the price. I understand these are inexpensive earbuds and wires will wear out over time, and I don't mind repurchasing a pair once or twice a year. However, the most recent 2 pairs I've bought have broken extremely quickly. My most recent pair lasted less than one week before one of the earbudgs went quiteter than the other, and also has a buzzing sound from it. The pair before that, one of the earbuds completely broke out of nowhere in less than 3 weeks. Maybe I just got 2 dud pairs in a row, but it's very annoying

Bummer
23 December 2022

I was so pleased when first purchased. They was no limit on volume. Sound was great. I anxiously bought some for friends and I purchased all colors. They only lasted a few months each of them. Only one ear worked. Mic went in and out for phone. Happened with the ones I bought for friends too. Bummed. Usually you can count on Sony.

Cheap but okay, depending on your purpose
25 July 2021

These can be fine, depending on what your purpose is for them. I got these as a backup to a pair of expensive wireless earbuds I had but was always forgetting to charge. They actually replaced the wireless ones though because they're just more convenient, always ready to go, without needing charged or updated. I use them to listen to podcasts, i.e. people talking, not music. For that, they sound fine. I probably wouldn't use them for music. I use them while out walking for exercise, one in my ear and the other tucked in my shirt so I can hear my surroundings. The cord is long enough to connect to my phone in my pocket. The cord material doesn't cause excessive, annoying rubbing noise. The fit is comfortable and doesn't get hot. My only wish is that they have some controls on the cord for pausing, rewinding, or volume. But what do you expect for under $20? These have lasted me about two years and only now I'm getting some static on the connection and quieter sound. I'd recommend them.

DO NOT BUY!!!! PLEASE
17 March 2023

Got blue ones, one bud stopped working on less than 2 months. Then I quickly did a pick up, got the white ones because I wanted/needed some for work that day. About a month in the mic and a bud went out around the same time. That's what I get for trying these again in a rush... I did really like them until they randomly stopped working. And I take good care of my earbuds. If I'm not using them, they are rolled up nice in a case. So don't get them, obviously. So again had to rush into a drug store before work lol. I got some random ones at a similar price and no issues since. In my opinion...it should be under $12(maybe a couple bucks more but eh)for corded earbuds with mic. Great Sound For The Price
25 October 2021

After spending a few years buying high quality in-ear headphones and then accidentally damaging them (in-wash, caught on something, puppy ate them, etc.), I moved to using these. They have a great sound (more like $50-$60 price range for sound quality), and also they are inexpensive. So basically I now treat them as semi-disposable. I buy three or four pairs, leave them around the house, and they are always available when I need them. If I accidentally destroy a pair, it's no big deal.I'd like to respond to complaints about durability. I've probably had about 10 pairs of these over the last 7 years or so, and I've never had one fail due to normal use. I've killed two putting them through the wash and dryer (though they survive about 50% of the time without apparent impact). Our new dog ate two pairs. One or two others I've caught on something and ripped them out very hard which damaged the wires.I would suggest that for people who say the broke easily, I would suggest either:1) They were unlucky2) They were unduly rough with them (pulling them hard, wrapping around things to often/tightly, etc.)3) Their expectations of the abuse that low-cost light-weight wire headphones too highBasically, if you're looking for good quality cheap sound, and your willing to be considerate of the fact that in-ear headphones have delicate wires inside, these are a good choice.
