Awful and cheap

I bought these headphones two months ago and within a week, the jack became loose and there was no sound. I thought I would give the headphones another chance due to the good reviews but I regret that decision. I was hoping the first pair was the bad apple of the bunch and I would be lucky the second time. That wasn't the case. Again, the jack is loose and there is no audio. I guess you get what you pay for.

Best earphones ever!

I’ve use these earphones for as long as I can remember and they are amazing! The sound quality is excellent and they are very comfortable in your ears. I wear them outside sometimes and they can withstand extremely cold temperatures as well. They last so long and I have never had an issue with them. If you’re looking for a good quality pair of earbuds that isn’t too expensive, these are definitely the way to go!

Decent but could have been much better

I bought these to replace the Sony MDRE818LP headphones I had previously used (which I always considered to be of excellent quality for earbud headphones). Unfortunately, it did not hold up nearly the same sound quality. There is little to no bass or depth, much like if you were listening through a telephone. It honestly feels like the sound is going through a single flat Mono channel instead of what you would expect from stereo-sounding headphones. These headphones are decent if you don’t care for those sorts of things and just need something to listen to your audio (since the sound clarity is quite good), but otherwise you will be disappointed.

Great earphones!

For the price they are, they're a really good everyday use pair of earphones. I use them constantly: at school, when I go on my daily bike ride, falling asleep, as well as just around the house. They usually last me 3-4 months at a time, sometimes they break, sometimes they get lost but I always get myself another pair when the old one has gone

Without the foam pads they sounded airey and not as bassy as I had been lead to believe, also they fell out my ears a bit. Attaching the foam pads, taking care not to break them, the fit was better, though not as close to my eardrum but the sound was more rounded, a little bass, sorta like the sound I had previously experienced with the MDR-E11LP/W. I do own a further pair of Sony headphones, but these are just for my digital piano.So for the price they're reasonable, and if you're not a fan of in-ears (Sony do these too, I've just never tried them) then these with their bright colours and bright sound might brighten your day.

It is the third time I am buying this

Great product. Very convenient for my ears, without being intrusive like the new ones. Every time I break it, I buy it again. This is my third pair in almost 15 years. Keep making these Sony!

Serves its purpose

I bought these for daily use to replace the earphones i broke. These serve me very well; i like the sound quality; the bass is low but alright. great for just everyday music use and watching TV. I won't feel too bad if they break eventually. I use them to listen to music as i fall asleep, so they get tugged on and thrown about quite a bit. So far so good. Good for the price and Sony delivers. I would suggest buy the pack of two as it will be a better deal.

They Do the Job

No other type of earbuds fit my ears, so I needed something inexpensive that would do the job. These were the cheapest I could find, and now, going on one month, are still working great. My sister keeps stealing them from me, so I'm going to have to buy a second pair soon - gotta keep the thieves away.

comfortable basic ear buds

I mainly use these for podcasts rather than music, so not too concerned with audio range. They last for a few months; I've tried more expensive brands but 1. most of those tend to be piston-shaped which aren't as comfortable for my ears and 2. they don't last longer. (I haven't bought really expensive ones; possibly they're more durable.)
