I've used my 21mm Ultra-Wide Conversion Lens for a week now and just finished using it for Autumn landscapes this weekend with great results. I'm seeing that there is little to no IQ degradation in using it, and also find that it is much easier to remove this lens from the end of my 28mm FE f/2 than doing complete lens changes. Actually, when I want to switch I simply remove it, keep it in my hand as I take my shot when I want the longer 28mm focal length, then return it to the front of the 28mm for safe keeping as I walk about. This provides a flexibility very near that of a zoom, but really what I'd call a multi-focal length lens combo. In Lightroom, my RAW images can be adjusted to control distortion by clicking on the lens profile check box, or shoot JPEG and have it controlled automatically. The add-on conversion lens is recognized in the body and through the RAW converter as a 21mm lens and the adjustments to profile work seamlessly. For the cost, this is a highly recommended piece of kit for your Sony full frame and the 28mm FE prime. BTW, check out the quality and sharpness rating for the FE 28mm on DxOMark. It is in the top 5!

It’s a good option to get a wider view without breaking the bank. I do wish I could use filters with this....The image is a little soft in the corners but for me it works just fine.

This does a very nice job for a conversion lens. Price is nice and quality is quite good. Even gives correct EXIF data. For not a lot of extra size you get a 28 and a 21mm lens

Works great. Decent wide open but gets better as you stop it down. I mainly used it on my a7sii for wide shots on a gimbal. The fact that i have essentially a 21mm auto focus lens made it worth it.
28mm is wide enough most of the time, and I keep considering the possibility of a lens around 15mm, but when I need just a little more than 28mm, the 21mm wide-angle adapter fills the gap. It may not be brilliantly sharp wide open, but a 21mm lens typically needs a smaller aperture, so this is not a problem. Only negative is inability to use filters.
The image quality is quite descent. Although I'd say it gets a bit soft at the edges and this may be an inherited flaw from the FE 28mm f2.8 lens it is coupled with. I like how easy it is to attach and detach so I can switch focal lengths very quickly. I occasionally turn off the distortion correction in Lightroom to minimise the softness at the edges which gives me more usable results.
This is a great concept to get a wide angle lens without having to change out a lens and carry around a heavy lens. The combo lens is on the heavy side, but weighs less overall than two separate equivalent lenses. Using the bayonet hood attachment on the 28mm lens is fast and easy. The only down side is not being able to attach a filter.
Although not a match for a dedicated 20mm, if you stop it down to f4, it actually performs really well, and costs significantly less and takes up far less space. It communicates with the camera to keep your EXIF right, and feels like a natural extension to the 28mm f2 FE lens. The donor lens becomes an f2.8 by default once mounted, and IQ is acceptable here, but vastly improves, especially towards the corners from f4 onwards. AF works as normal. An inexpensive way to add an UWA perspective to your kit.
I like this lens a lot. Helps with my real estate photography, it has done wonders. I am not one to knock a lens because it is not perfect, nothing is these days and you are fooling yourself looking for perfection. Great photos and has improved my real estate photos.
Its a great alternative to some of the more costly ultra-wide options. It feels firmly attached when paired with the 28mm F/2 lens. There is a significant increase in size & weight, however as its lighter then other options such as the Samyang/Rokinon 14mm lenses. IQ is very good, although soft in the corners, but stopping down helps. There is significant distortion when shooting RAW, but nothing that cant be fixed in post.
